They're so honest and seem kind of vulnerable. Not at all what I expected when I first saw this. I expected arrogance, impregnable emotionless rock star personae, but that's not the impression you get at all.
Just said that same thing (sort of) to Jason this week. And also... Me: "Pete said that when you nail it you still can make him cry". Jason: "That's a great line".
They looked so alike. And interestingly, the two of them had the same birthday ...or so I've heard. I also read that Jason Pierce nearly died last year. He was hospitalized for pneumonia.
Yeah she always crops up on loads of interviews with bands around this time. No wonder they always seem hostile she's annoying as fuck and negative with her questions and tone.
Great band..I saw them live..once and shame on me...incredible..tiny club in Hull everyone sat down...they had loads of equipment trouble...it got a bit arsey...then they pulled Suicide out of the bag blew the walls out
im pretty sure Peter hasnt got rid of drugs. I mean he's worked with mgmt this year and i heard they took at least some mushroom teas together, but probably it wasnt the only thing they used.
Sonic Boom, Peter Kember ah, Amazing fooking music bro, I love Spacemen 3. Produced MGMT's second album, my favourite band, hopefully... one day... Ben and Andrew, will produce my band!
Do you know anything about them? Pete(Sonic Boom) admits to using drugs. He was always interested in altered states of mind and how people perceive things during those times.
I bought their 'Playing with Fire' album when I was a teenager & it was the most bloody awful thing I had ever heard! No objection to any stoned hippies out there enjoying this stuff but these dudes really were just spoilt, spaced out, irresponsible dummies. The hedgehog with the same name deserves a lot more respect than Mr Boom I reckon!
I just recently had the best trip of my life listening to Perfect Prescription.
Gremby hit me with the good stuff, I’d like to ride along to the Northampton Demos myself
the single most influential album of my wee life...
drugs are not the answer, they are the question, and the answer is YES
Spacemen 3 is and was the best rock Band in the last thirty years !!
so spaced & psycho & honest & consequent ...greatest !!
Wow, Jason Pierce is such a bubbly character
Totally love these guys. I have watched this interview a couple of times already, but it keeps getting better...
i love how they both obviously just shot up before this interview.

this is like anton meeting rich ashcroft, almost twenty years after the velvets. This us amazing!
is it me or can you tell Jason is like fed up at this point??... great band. but wow this is tense!
J was always kind of a recluse during interviews. Plus in his defense he was probably nodding out for half of this interview too.
They looked so alike. And interestingly, the two of them had the same birthday ...or so I've heard. I also read that Jason Pierce nearly died last year. He was hospitalized for pneumonia.
JP made a full recovery and is well-Thank God, now he can start recording real music again,
Recognise the interviewer’s voice from that awkward one with Browny & Squire

Come on Spacemen 3, play it again
Time to bring out the hash knives! Warming them up right now.
These two created the greatest quality of music
i love him
i go to the same school he went too
cus i'm his niece
Jason looks thrilled
I'm surprised Pete and Jason are actually sitting with each other at thhis moment in time, even managing to laugh together!
actually i think you'll find that it's real smoke
as sonic (pete kember) is my uncle and to this day still smokes
so yeah
It's funny how Jason does practically none of the talking.
they're amazing
The two are connected though in a round about way.
4 people, including myself, got this.
in my opinion, spacemen 3 never played shoegazer shit at all
Great band..I saw them live..once and shame on me...incredible..tiny club in Hull everyone sat down...they had loads of equipment trouble...it got a bit arsey...then they pulled Suicide out of the bag blew the walls out

Never saw that video for hypnotize. Jason almost didn't talk.
At least Pete got rid of drugs, as it seems.

Really, it could be a dedication. To: much shoegazing. You know, something you'd say when giving a toast

Nior-ish.
What an influential group on a fuckton of bands no one cares about...
@joydivisionfactory Perhaps you should learn learn proper grammar before correcting others.
Bull shit. Leave it in the past.
