King definitely looking good with that extra lean muscle mass on him. That will help him absorb the hits better and hopefully staying healthy.

Should’ve asked “Did you learn that Horvath isn’t an every down back finally and that he needs to be deployed in specialty situations like screens and goal line only?” This team will go as far as the QB room and line will take them offensively. RBs will be good, WRs are studs, TEs are very promising - but if Purdue can’t throw it to keep people honest they won’t win many games. Apparently the line is much improved and hopefully Plummer takes control because he has every tool. Lead your team 13.

It’s the opposite way around. If Purdue can’t run it then they won’t win games.

@@phillipdunn5488 well you can look at it both ways and sure, every pee wee coach who doesn’t get it might relay the same thing to his team. But that hasn’t historically been how Purdue football has operated and it isn’t what Brohm wants to do. Sure teams with great lines and RBs use your formula, but from what we can see, Purdue doesn’t have that. Brohm is more pass heavy generally and the team’s strength is at WR. That’s why this team will have to be creative and find different ways to get it to Moore and Bell. If Plummer and pass protection can be effective, more DBs will be needed for Bell/Moore, space will open up for RBs, and Purdue will have a good year. There’s no scenario this year where Purdue establishes the run to throw the ball, if that’s the formula then they are in big trouble for numerous reasons. They just don’t have the horses up front to do that against against the best of the Big-10.
