  • This walk is to the remote Seana Bhraigh Munro within the Beinn Dearg range. Starting from Inverlael car park the walk goes through the forrest before heading left to height. A great day but a bit breezy so sorry about the wind noise.

Oh, I did enjoy that, Charlie. One of my favourites. A long walk in, then that steep summit and the wee lochan doon in the corrie. Thanks very much.

Hi Geoffrey, Was that not a cracking day, just terrific when you have a clear weather window on a classic top. Cheers, Charlie

Thank you for this excellent video. Seana Bhraigh was the first Munro I climbed, and I approached from an unusual direction. I was working as a shepherd on the farm in Glen Achall (many moons ago when I had just left school) I asked the boss if I could climb it on the Sunday and drove up the track to the gap between Glen Achall and Glen Damh. It was a fairly easy walk up from there. If you don't mind me saying, the correct pronunciation of Seana Bhraigh is Shena Vray, the Bh combination makes the V sound. The translation is old brae (slope). On the way back I took a slight detour over Meall nam Bradhann (hill of the salmon) and came across an old village, totally deserted, a result of clearances in the area. Wished I had a camera! 👍

Hi McConnachy, What a great top for your first Munro, everything after that will be downhill 😂
A visit to the deserted village must have been a great but strange experience. Cheers

When a friend and I followed the same route, many years ago, the top 1000 feet was done in cloud. From memory the path petered out and navigating past the dip was challenging. Also, we had no idea of the cliffs at the back of the summit cairn.

Though a long walk in the views are spectacular from many vantage points particularly from the summit. Super video. Thanks for sharing.

did wyvis in the morning, faochagach in the afternoon , beinn dearg 4 the next day in the mist , woke on saturday 1st of july to do this but the rain was hammering down got one wee break so i walked up to the wee bridge , if you look to the left there is a wee path that leads you to a weir with a pretty dramatic short water fall , the rivers and burns were in spate so will be back for this , great vid at least you got to see where you were going 👍

Hi Janice, Yes, it was a cracking day and fortunately we managed to miss the rain forecast for the afternoon. A long walk but it still had over 1300m of height. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.

Yet another glorious walk. This channel has inspired me in so many ways and remains my favourite Munro channel - the standard by which all others are measured. When I'm planning each trip I look and see your version of it (and add on several hours for my own time estimate). Wonderful and you will definitely catch me on the next one.

Did this one a few weeks ago lads. Bikes to the abandoned farm building then hiked the rest. Was so grateful for the bike back to the car. Took 6 hours. Would love to come across you two on a hill sometime. One of these days!
