He scared the shit out of me on this show.
He scared the shit out of me, too. His performance is just.. outsanding, and inhumanly awesome! He literally WAS Cunanan in that show, and his portrayal of Andrew was just as disturbing and his behavior as bizarre as I imagine Andrew Cunanan would've been if I met him.

That show is just so twisted and dark but also makes yu think on some stuff to be honest. I was just so sad after seeing that he killed the "love of his live" and he didnt even made a run for it...

The scariest characters I've seen being played so well is the joker by heath ledger, but darren criss is in another level because this shit was actually a true story, for moments its like there's no darren criss, is like your watching the real creepy andrew coming back to life

I rewatch the show like twice every year. I cant believe that his performance has been under the radar.
TV show stars are never popular until they make it in the movie business (except if you were in Breaking Bad, GOT, or a sitcom).
A lot of people are talking about this amazing actor and how he's underrated which is obvious, but what a lot of people are missing is the actors who played Donattella and Gianni every time I saw them in this I was blown away.
They really sold the sibling relationship, it was beautiful

@@paddy_wax as an Italian, I think that talian and Spanish sound very similar. Even without knowing Spanish I can still understand Spanish people because we Italians talk in a very similar way. Both languages stem from Latin and the way we pronounce words is quite similar (unlike French people, whose language has similar words to Italian, but very different pronunciation)
Last episode had me in tears woof. That scene where Andrew and Gianni were at the theaters? Mind-blowing
The last call between him and his dead/his realization that his dad wasn't coming was heart breaking. Just speaks volumes to DC's skills as an actor.
gives a chilling performance...scares the shit outta me, yet, his good looks are compelling and, almost, hypnotic - probably exactly as cunanan was...deserves lots of accolades for his performance...expect greater and bigger things from this young actor - a movie 'a' lister in the making, mark my words :)

Darren Criss is Filipino American. Andrew Cunanan was Filipino Italian.
Criss is Eurasian - his mother is a native of Cebu, Philippines, while his father, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is of English, German, and Irish descent.
The finale tonight was very well done. thumbs up for his performance.. whole series was very interesting 👍🏻

This tragedy is so sad for everyone i'm sad for all families a cause of the irresponsible father. Condolences. It's so terrible for a young adult that he has unfortunately even experienced Andrews and the other victims. It's incomprehensible but it's like that.

I just had the chance to watch the series now through Netflix. As a Filipino, my emotions are clashing. The series itself is well-written and it made me binged to it. I love the series. Thumbs up to that. However, i feel humiliated as a Filipino because of what Andrew's father did and what Andrew did those times. Probably, that's how you can say that it was a great series.
Morphine Kim I watched the series too and it was brilliantly portrayed. I’m Filipino too and felt the same way you did; I felt ashamed at the way Andrew’s dad handled himself and how Andrew committed these heinous crimes. There are some ignorant people who will attribute it to their Filipino background when it has nothing to do with it. I’m proud of my heritage 🇵🇭 and these two particular bad people don’t represent us.

Just finished the series on Netflix. From the first episode I was hooked, halfway through I forgot I was watching a true story about Versace’s death bc Darren just kept me immersed in his character. Brilliant show 👌🏽

Darren, Cody & Finn are all gorgeously handsome men, with an exceptional, malevolence, but also bearing an exuberance of natural, & beautiful talent. They all deserve Emmy’s for their portrayals & performances. They brought this story to life in a way that was egregious, salacious, & pragmatic, but yet congruent.

3rd time watching the film and each time I grow more and more in love with the acting...Darren Criss is brilliant as Andrew Cunanan. I still am not sure why Andrew killed. I think that each killing was for a different reason. I certainly hope that he and the actors and the show win Emmys...the character is intelligent, sad, mentally ill--absolutely!, personality disorder. and ADD psychopathic, grandiose, angry, manipulative, thinks he is entitled. I think that there is a little bit of him in each of us. One thing in common with serial killers was his dysfunctional and abusive childhood. Additionally, I wouldn't doubt that he was raped by his father as a child. Sad. You really see Darren's acting in the scene with the pharmacist and Andrew is completing the application--the comment about his father owning a pineapple plantation---now that was good...it is in Episode 8. Andrew was a sad, sad, wounded child.
His acting was exceptional. His portrayal was so real, so believable.
Something that i think everyone is missing, is that Versace was supported. He had a dream and a supportive family. Andrew had none. His dad just wanted him to be big, but he never told him in what way. Obviously the man had a huge impact on Andrew's life. His dad didn't love him, he loved his potential, and he couldn't even use that potential right. I think the real garbage is the dad here.
