- Hi and welcome to Kate's Space. Today I am sharing the journal I created for @sampooledesigns in collaboration with Jaizella from @lavishlaces. Jaizella kindly sent all members of Sam's design team a parcel of beautiful lace and trims and we have all made journals showcasing the lace along with Sam's lovely digital kit Garden Memories.
I hope you enjoy the flip through.

🧚🏻♀️Kate, I think I’m in Heaven! Your garden journal with laces is totally my favourite now!💝 The tags are all little works of art! You have such a great eye for detail. Embroidering the hailstone spots blue was a very special touch! I always love the papers you choose and that blue french ledger is amazing. I will be watching this video over and over again! This really is extravagantly beautiful Kate! I especially love all the little details that are so typical in your journals - the embroidery, the pressed flowers on the back of the page, the little corner collages and the velvet ribbon tabs. Just so pretty.

I absolutely LOVE this journal. All the precious details make such a lovely journal. You did more than justice to the laces and digitals and I am glad you enjoyed working with the laces! I love the tea dying to the laces and how you cut apart bits to use on the velvet tabs as well as other little cluster throughout. This is truly inspirational and very beautiful. I think my favorite part is those little lace samples sewn onto the hankie - just such a stunning detail! The simplicity of the stitching adds to the beauty (and I use the word simplicity lightly lol). Stunning book, Kate!

Kate, everything about this is gorgeous! I really like the details you added, like how you added blue stitching to the dots on the white fabric. The layering you do is so beautiful. Love your pretty tags. The tassel is perfect. Oh, and those velvet ribbon tabs, the lace samples on the hanky… so much to love! I’ll be watching again!💗

Kate this is such a STUNNING journal and I was spellbound from the first page! I love how you embroidered the blue dots on that beautiful fabric, and that neutral card you collaged and placed in the old envelope I think was my favorite! All I can say is slump? What slump? ♥♥♥

Lovely journal Kate. So much interest between the pages. Great ideas. I love the overhead projector acetate prints. They do look old. With that envelope addressed to Eketahuna - the stamps would place it right at the end of WWII, that post mark is for a seaside resort in Brittany that was occupied by German troops before the end 😊 I wonder what the letter would have been - hopefully ‘I’m alive and well’.
