Emily D Baker can you tell me why did this go to a FBI investigation instead of just the police. The reason I asked if there's a lot of awful murders in the FBI doesn't get involved with it. Thank you and love your videos
Hey @TheEmilyDBaker , Can we get a Water Bottle subcategory in the shop? It does appear there is not one yet for that product to quick reference. I am not much of a mug person, and like the water bottles. A Bottle category would be nice for fast filtering of current/future designs for those. Happy New Year!
Thank goodness for finding Emily D. Baker, here on UA-cam, in 2022... Emily and the Lawnerds have literally made my whole year of entertainment an interesting, educational and exciting adventure that is always sooo much fun and enjoyable to watch!!! 💯⚖ *Thanks for the memories Emily, you are truly a one of a kind and such an exceptional human being who is absolutely amazing and so inspirational... and, I am definitely here for it in 2023!!! 💜💜💜
Yes! Depp v Heard turned me into a Law Nerd and I'm sooooo glad I found you, Emily and Law Nerds! I never knew the thing missing from my life was knowledge about myself (ADHD) and knowledge about the law! Thank you for literally improving my life! ❤️❤️❤️
Agree I have issues with Baldwin being blamed alone. He's responsible because he fired the gun but knowing there were so many live rounds is a total game changer for me.
I agree with the indemnification and the sexually inappropriate prop masters and suppliers should definitely be fined/blacklisted/jailed etc. I think the armourer was set up, so I think there might be a way for her to work as an assistant with restrictions and supervision. None of this though changes my mind about Alec Baldwin. These are the people he willfully surrounded himself with and the toxic culture that he enabled.
It definately solidifies that he isn't responsible for live ammo being in a prop that absolutely never should be anywhere near props. Especially since he was not the one that loaded the gun and was told it was vetted clean
Also on Rust, looking up the "professional" armorer, she was a nepotism case, her dad is a famous in hollywood armorer, she herself knew very little and did not treat guns with respect. There are many evidence pieces on social, videos, interviews of her stating her lack of knowledge and taking things serious and playing with guns and viewing them basically as toys.
Emily, you and your fans have made. A difficult year into an empowering year! As a victim of economic crime , I now understand more about the justice system and don’t blame myself. Best to you and yours for a joyful, healthy, happy, and creative New Year
I am SO glad I found Emily's channel in 2022 from the Depp v Heard coverage! As someone with ADHD, Emily is so inspiring to me. I love that she is unapologetically herself while being a badass professional, can't wait for 2023!!!
I found you during Depp V Heard and I love all that you do. I am not an avid watched when all your podcasts come out. Plus I have listed to some of your other Law Nerd friends! Thank you for all you do all year long!
I've never found Baldwin at fault, on the film set, everyone has a specific job, he's handed a gun, which should have been checked at least twice by people before being handed to him. The Fault lies with the armorer. Her responsibility is to make sure nothing like that ever happens. Why aren't more people pointing the finger at her. It all starts and ends with her.
Exactly. People who have no idea how movies work are quick to blame Baldwin entirely, citing the standard firearms safety rules like "never point a gun at something you're not willing to destroy." Have these people never watched a movie in their life?. As a producer he may be partially responsible, but it was not his job to check a gun handed to him, that's the armorers job.
As for J.Depp, Pledging his million from Heard... Get real, this is a man of his word. He has been in contact with his mini-me Captain Kori, who got his youtube plaque because of Depp. His Christmas tree was almost buried from gifts, that's a UK family that had a great Christmas with their ill child. Captain Jack Sparrow has been in Children's Hospital wards, you know the place Amber wouldn't step into, but pledges to someday in the future... He gave a million years ago, and his record is clearly marked Paid in Full. He is clearly not a man who bullies, or batters women, any man that bashes the cabinetry when his Mother dies and then spots his wife filming it telling her we are DONE, BUT NOT PUNCHING HER IS A BETTER PERSON THEN I COULD EVER BE !
Emily, you are so gracious! I have enjoyed every time I come to visit and appreciate how you make the law understanding and fun. You are a treasure! I hope you are having a fantastic vacation. All the very best for the coming new year. 😍🥰😘
We love you Emily!!💜 I have been obsessed with your converge over this past year. I want to thank you especially for all your hard work during depp v heard and for covering the darryl brooks case with so much poise and respect for the victims.❤️ I don't think i would've been able to get through it without you xx
Thank you Emily for all your hard work. Your show is so informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see/hear what’s in store for 2023 clapping 👏🏼♥️
Thank you for a wonderful 2022!!! This year I took a huge leap and started my own business. Let's do what we love no matter if others don't have full faith. Keep grinding everyone. We see your struggle and growth!!
happy New Year, Emily. I'm one of those who joined you in your coverage of Depp v H, and have become a regular viewer. I love your show, your style, your honesty, your craziness, your cats, and all the fellow lawnerds. What a great community you have here. I've learned so much here and I'm forever grateful for you and your channel.
Oh my. As an aspiring bridal designer whom has been trained in fashion design. And I had my own clothing line for a bit back in 2014 My heart hurts for haily. I almost got suckered in to a similar situation with my production company wanting to use my name always with Stephanie Gentry by *insert name here* and thankfully got out of it. They had my work up well beyond what we agreed to plus other things that just were not good practice for them that I didn’t agree with. oh my. That just really sucks. This kind of thing can kill your creative spirit. As it did mine. Wow. I’m really interested in that case. Hope we get to hear more next year
Former film person here. I am SHOOK that a pro prop house has live ammo all over the place. But the armorer should have caught them. I heard many armorers passed on this gig bc of the terrible $.
Love your platform. Discovered you during JD vs AH. What a trip. Really enjoyed it. Your such a joy to watch in the evening with my cup of coffee. Can’t wait for 2023. Happy New Year 🎆.
I’ve been watching you since the Depp v Heard trial and was instantly hooked. I’ve never commented but felt this was the perfect time to tell you how much I look forward to seeing your new videos every time you post one. You are such an inspiration to women everywhere because you seem so down to earth. Look forward to seeing what the new year brings. I’ll definitely be watching ❤
If only one reason to be thankful for Amber Heard, it's because of her I found Emily. I have loved watching this Channel and community. I never knew law would be so interesting to me. As an ADHDer, I beyond appreciate feeling seen and like there are others whose brain works like mine. Thank you EDB! 💜
I was not interested in the Depp/Herd trial at all…until I finally started seeing TikToks explode. I found my way to you because I wanted to know what actually was going on and have gone full lawnerd since! Thanks for what you do and I’m loving every moment!!!
Can the internet just start sending Crave pictures of literally any baked good or thing moderately tangential to a cookie that is sold in a square/rectangular boxes. Such containers are ubiquitous and common. Nobody owns the concept of MY FOOD GO IN SQUARE BOX.
Regarding RUST... I wonder if Item 31 (which the suit says contained 50 live rounds) is the box of ammunition that the Armorer claimed to have checked by shaking it before hurridly loading rounds in the gun that morning? She claimed that she shook it and heard the rattle of the ball bearings meaning the rounds were dummy rounds (this never sat well with me because it could have been just a couple of dummy rounds among live rounds, but whatever). But let's theorize maybe that box contained exactly 50 rounds... if they were ALL LIVE, what does that say about the Armorer's testimony?
Regarding the FBI findings, 50 live cartridges equates to a single box. Using the individual count is a bit misleading. It's like saying they found 50 Keebler cookies, without noting that's the number found in the most common retail-sized bag.
Good idea for me (to listen to older podcast), cause I am like a junkie without a fix, without your new episodes :) And I am not even interested in some topics, I just like to listen to you🥰🥰
What I am most grateful for for 2022 is finding you Emily and watching you has been such a pleasure. I look forward to seeing you again in 2023. Best wishes to you and all your family and kin. With love from Australia 🇦🇺
With Rust, look at how Chadwick Boseman went, he acted until the very last moment he could, even through agony and pure exhaustion. For love of the art is a very very real thing, especially when projects mean something real to the individual.
50 live rounds? wow how could that be a mistake at some point people didn't do their job or they were spread out through the props intentionally. i'm not sure what answer would be more disturbing. emily d baker it was wonderful to find you in 2022 and i look forward to2023
I found you about 3/4 into the Depp v Heard trial. I happened on the trial from a feed suggestion from another set of people covering it Not sure how. You came on someone’s stream and I started following you. I love how you present the information and your insights as a former prosecutor. I am not really into the pop culture stuff but you make the legal angles very interesting and fun. You are now my favorite “lawtuber”. Thank you for all you do💜💜💜
Thank you for all your hard work Emily. I found you during Depp v heard but I’ve stuck with you because you make dry legaleeze sound interesting and I love your voice and kindness. Happy new year!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Holy crap those rooms look like someone threw up cardboard boxes all over. They all got moving too fast, they were stupid enough to bring live ammo on set. The result of their stupidity, a beautiful woman lost Her life, and Her Family is left without Her. Is Alex responsible?, Not as much as I once thought. He was relying on others professional work. They failed. You need to know what props you have, where they are at all times, and never bring a dangerous/unnecessary one to set at any time. Will be interesting to see the result......
I'm soo glad I found your channel (Depp vs Heard) you are the best at explaining what the heck is going on lol. Love you xoxo Hope you had a great holiday season & 2023 will be awesome (fingers crossed 🤞) 💞💞💞💞💞🙏💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💕💕
On the Alec Baldwin / Halyna Hutchins case: After watching Hannah Gutierrez Reed's police interviews, and the podcast she was on right before the accident, my view of the whole case COMPLETELY changed. I can highly highly recommend!
I am so happy to have found you and the lawnerds! Thank you for being a ray of sunshine and a well of wisdom and interesting facts and lots of fun. Love from Germany
I'm a high school computer and career research teacher. I love your show and always tell my students that they need to understand how laws work to elect people who represent their values. Like many others, I confess that I often listen while I clean the house and grade papers. I first found you during the Heard/Depp trial then got more interested in criminal law. Now I consider myself a Law Nerd.
Happy New Year Emily! And thank you for doing what you do, with a bit of sass and cursey words😊. Looking forward to 2023 and what it’s bringing to the legal world
Nothing brings me more pleasure than watch you here on UA-cam. I feel engaged in every trial and cases you introduce us all to better understand what actually goes on in and outside the courtroom. It’s like listening behind closed doors… thank you for being you.
Thank you Emily for getting me through so many hard days. Listening to your voice and the discussion of events has given me a point of focus with my mental health and I'm so glad I discovered you! Knowing that you will continue these episodes brings me comfort. I know what it means to truly love and be grateful for your job! Same girl, same 🥰 Happy New Year and happy holidays to you and yours!
Happy new year to you, your family, and all the members of this community. Thank you for a year full of interesting things happening, some weird, funny, and unexpected. You have made it so easy to understand what the law is about. Looking forward to 2023.
The Rust situation is very odd. One has to wonder if there's a side deal in my opinion. However it concerns me greatly as so many film professional friends tell me that production standards have fallen horribly which is how this was possible. There needs to be a tightening up of production protocol again.
In documents filed as part of her tabloid trial, her lawyers said she gave details about her relationship with her father with a third party. Meghan says she gave her own version of the story to be passed on to the authors “so the true position... could be communicated to the authors to prevent any further misrepresentation.” In the UK Markle case where Marco sued newspaper it eventually came out that she did assist the authors. She acknowledged and apologize that she "forgot" that she had sent secretary to give to the authors of finding freedom will that have any impact on the current case of Markle vs Markle
thankyou Emily! for getting me through 2022 , love the videos , the lives , the honesty , the lawnerd community , the fuckery , thankyou , thankyou thankyou!! here goes to a wonderful and blessed 2023 🎉🥂❤️💜💜💜
The Utah cookies wars could be real easy to settle. Everybody makes a sugar cookie chocolate chip and a peanut butter cookie, the jury does it taste test and decides if they’re the same cookie. I would Travel to Utah to be on that jury.
Emily, your compassion and sensitivity was so appreciated as we experienced the Darrell Brooks trial together. I never feel like I’m watching alone. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for giving us something of value to watch. We can learn, and find facts while doing so. Because I wear a Law Nerd Hoodie, everyone thinks I'm a lawyer lol. Love your stream and podcasts. And most of all love you and all you do for us
The Crow was finished and released even though Brandon Lee was killed during filming. I’d imagine that some people that are refusing to see Rust have watched The Crow. Perhaps her husband knew how much the movie meant to her and thinks finishing it is what needs to happen.
I'm very glad that I found your channel this year because everything you do is fun but also very interesting! A few weeks back I started to rewatch the Depp vs Heard trial on your channel because I was just so interested in it again even know it already finished I just wanted to watch it again! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and I hope you have a very good new year and I hope 2023 is a good year for you!
Emily! Question!! Did you ever do a more in depth podcast about Amber Herds bahvior on the stand and how it differs from the victims you have seen? You didn't want to go too much into details in case it was seen during the trial but I am still dying to hear your experience with that!!! 😄🤗
Okay that made it sound like I was super excited about victims behavior on the stand 😅 while that is this fascinating what I really want to understand is why Herds testimony felt so bizar to witness. It's grabbed me enough that I'm writing my bachelor thesis in psychology about the variant of boderline personality disorder she has and how that presents itself harmdully in intimate relationships. She just felt so off.
@@nadiaoneill3570, colonel Kurtz has an interesting video with her mother, a psychologist/psychiatrist not sure, sorry, which was really enlightening regarding AH’s behavior. It includes a fascinating example of someone who behaved in a very similar manner.
"The Behavioral Arts" and "The Behavior Panel" (two different channels) both did some analysis of DvH. Both are excellent channels if you are interested in behavior.
Honestly the Girardi bankruptcy lawsuits are the most fascinating thing you've covered this year. The sheer layers of corruption and greed are just incredible, a layer cake of woof
Happy New Year Emily, I hope you have had a wonderful relaxing festive season with your family. I found you during the Depp vs Heard case and found you incredible explaining the law in layman's terms ... I went on to review your older videos and everytime appreciated your rundown. Looking forward to your views during 2023.
Thank you for all the wonderful coverage this year. Like many others, I've discovered your channel and lawtube in general because of Depp v. Heard and I'm very happy I did, it's been a great ride. On the one hand, I'm so so happy for Johnny Depp that he can start into the year 2023 with zero ties to Heard. 11 years of pain and hardship have finally come to an end and I cannot wait for all the wonderful things that will come his way. On the other (petty) hand, I'm glad Amber is not completely off the hook with the insurance companies just yet. She might not have to pay much to them in the end, but at least she's facing some actual monetary consequences, even if she just has to pay her lawyers for this case herself.
Wow, thank you for this. ESPECIALLY the latest about Rust. I couldn't agree more with you about Baldwin, I too wanted to hold him solely responsible, but I never heard anything about the details you showed us, that has blown my mind. Like him or loath him, he's right to bring that lawsuit. My feelings about finishing the film? Not interested in seeing it, if they actually do finish it. Assuming they do, I'd likely not bother with it for at least a decade.
I always download your podcast and listen at work. Thank you for all your content Emily, its educational, fun and frequently thought provoking, always presented fairly, clearly with a side of sass. Keep doing you. Best wishes to all the Baker family, friends and all the law nerds. Happy New year 💜
Thank you for streaming Johnny Depp vs AH trial. I enjoyed watching it with you. I'm glad Johnny won and found peace. Now that this trail is over, I'll continue to watch other trials that you'll stream, if there will be some interesting cases. Good job Emily
Happy New Year Emily!! I can't wait to spend all day with you in Jan for the Murdaugh trial. Hope you and yours are having a fantastic Cruise vacation.

This has definitely changed my thoughts about the Rust case. Those photos and the FBI reports are shocking and sickening.
same Baldwin is partly responsible but so is this if this report is true it definitely makes a lot more people responsible
Agree I have issues with Baldwin being blamed alone. He's responsible because he fired the gun but knowing there were so many live rounds is a total game changer for me.

Wishing you and your family all the best Emily! You’re the best! I’ve learned so much and laughed so hard. Big respect. 🥰
On the Alec Baldwin / Halyna Hutchins case:
After watching Hannah Gutierrez Reed's police interviews, and the podcast she was on right before the accident, my view of the whole case COMPLETELY changed.
I’m happy to have became a LawNerd this year 😊 and yes our SC accents are heavy in the nice nasty southern drawl 😅
Watching this right after I was randomly excused from jury duty. I’m bummed. I was excited for it
I have worked on several movie sets that used weapons, and this is my nightmare. How the hell could this happen? 😱
Happy New Year to my beautiful purple haired hero! I've learned so much from you this year! I admire and appreciate you beyond words! ❤️
Happy new year Emily, mods & fellow law nerds!
I’ve been enjoying your content for 2 years now and I’m SO thankful for you & this community! 🥰
The Rust situation is very odd. One has to wonder if there's a side deal in my opinion. However it concerns me greatly as so many film professional friends tell me that production standards have fallen horribly which is how this was possible. There needs to be a tightening up of production protocol again.
Agreed. Plus I just cannot stand mr baldwin. He makes me sick
Hi everyone. Denmark checking in 😂
Edit: to wish everyone a wonderful new year and Emily an amazing cruise.
Uhh love seing a fellow dane here 😄🇩🇰
@@nadiaoneill3570 Hejsa Nadia 😃😃
Hej med dig Line 🤗
Thank you EDB for the breakdowns. 👍🏻🥰
In documents filed as part of her tabloid trial, her lawyers said she gave details about her relationship with her father with a third party.
Meghan says she gave her own version of the story to be passed on to the authors “so the true position... could be communicated to the authors to prevent any further misrepresentation.”
In the UK Markle case where Marco sued newspaper it eventually came out that she did assist the authors.
Thank you Emily for keeping me sane while working. WHAT A YEAR in Law! Love and hugs to you and your gorgeous family and furbies.
Thank you Emily, your channel has really helped cheer me up throughout a pretty shit year. Happy New Year 💜🥂
Thank you for giving us something of value to watch. We can learn, and find facts while doing so. Because I wear a Law Nerd Hoodie, everyone thinks I'm a lawyer lol. Love your stream and podcasts. And most of all love you and all you do for us
Love your work Emily, don't often recharge but you have given reason to stop and watch or listen. Thank you.
The Crow was finished and released even though Brandon Lee was killed during filming. I’d imagine that some people that are refusing to see Rust have watched The Crow. Perhaps her husband knew how much the movie meant to her and thinks finishing it is what needs to happen.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours also the Law Nerds & Law Paws 💜💜please have a happy & safe New year 🎉🎉🎆🎆
I'm very glad that I found your channel this year because everything you do is fun but also very interesting!
@Angela Cross thank you! 😄 I will absolutely check that out 😊
"The Behavioral Arts" and "The Behavior Panel" (two different channels) both did some analysis of DvH. Both are excellent channels if you are interested in behavior.
Thank you @Misty Cherie 🤗
Happy New Year to you all. Emily I hope you're enjoying your cruise with Dr B and your boys. 💜💜
Thank you Emily for all the work you, feeding us all a dose of law and entertainment ☺️❤
You and your channel are one of the best things about my YT for 2022. You're a gem, Emily! Looking forward to 2023 💜💜💜💜💜!!!!!
You are awesome, Emily. And thanks for encouraging us to undertake new things in 2023!
Emily, this community has made my whole year and I can’t wait for more in 2023! Happy new year to you and your family! 🎉💜🥂
Finding your channel has been one of the highlights of the year for me❤ Happy holidays 💜
Well as a you tube only viewer, non of the other interwebby sites you Auntie Em are fantastic? Well done onyou being you
