- First attempt at soloing Kulve Taroth at Lv6. I still have no fucking clue how the fight works and I wouldn't be surprised if people figure out a way to get it done in under 10 or maybe even 5 minutes later down the line.

Since there seem to be some misconceptions regarding this raid, I figured I'd clear some things up before I get more "you didn't solo there were other people in the lobby" comments:
Kulve Taroth's HP, part breaks etc. is not shared across all groups, meaning that the damage done to it by another group in another quest has no effect on the Kulve Taroth that I am fighting. You can see at 13:10 that one of the groups in the session has managed to break the horns completely and clear the quest, yet the quest wasn't cleared on my end.
The only thing that is shared across all groups in a session is the Pursuit and Reward level.
Edit:
To add to that, I tried to solo her today again on stream including leveling her starting from Lv1, took me 2 1/2 hours to get her to Lv4 before I then broke her horn, all done while being offline and no one in the session who could potentially tamper with Kulve in any way. It took me about 22 minutes with 1 cart to break a Lv4 Kulve's horn, which isn't significantly slower than the Lv6 one especially if you consider that body parts are much harder to break at lower levels so I'd argue that it supports what I've stated above about players in a different quest not having any effect on the part breaks etc. in your quest.
CantaPerMe you are correct another group broke the horns my group didn't and we didn't receive the rewards you would get from fully completing this siege just level and whatever you pick up

Isn't it that just the health pool is shared? You can of course complete the quest via breaking the horns entirely, but another option I thought was just to repel it, in which the health bar comes into play. This probably helps more with inexperienced players who cannot get the horns down in time in their particular siege group. This would be when Kulve leaves/is repelled. I actually had this happen to me yesterday.
Pretty sure the health is shared somehow. We started off the fight and it took a while to get her to shed and get the gold plating off her head. Then she escaped. I then joined a quest with a new group, she pretty much instantly went down below, shedded her gold and we got the horns off very quickly.
Remember Royal Ludroth? This is her now. Feel old yet?

First time I fought her in solo, I was like "Pfft... Another boring Lao-shan". When I reached the 2nd & 3rd phase, I was like "Wow she's tough". Then I reached the final phase... "Holy shit! Calm down Grandma Ludroth!"
Augusandrio Andreanto Big difference by final phase and I love it. Even if I used the final faint twice because the fucking molten gold breath that eats your health before you can sheath.
Fariko Wishless fireproof mantle or insect glaive aerial attack might help a little bit with her ground-melting fire breath

But you can solo this, it just takes longer.

Just because it can be solod does not make it fun, the fact that it can take up to 3 hours to get to higher stages solo makes this fight boring.
deepdishpizza I have been hearing people have soloed it quite quickly, although I'm guessing they've been running setups similar to canta with boosters such as evade mantle and aff booster to make the runs much faster..

Yeah hitting all boulders and getting her hit by the eruptions everytime they go off definitely makes it possible at PL2 to 3. Just wish more people would allow her to move to the other two boulders in phase 3.

Has anyone else released her in the second area? I'm still confused how I even did that with my group and I want an explanation why. I've even stayed in the first area with her for 10 minutes because we chipped her horns and she was spitting lava and continuously attack everyone. Confused the hell out of me.

You didn't solo it. You were on a solo part of the mission. You were on a server with others fighting the same Kulve. If you were in your own instance without help from others I would have been impressed. I have "Solo'd" this fight several times. Next time. SOLO it for real.

Legend say that canta use to be a member of team dark side, but then one day he came across a item call the rock steady mantle that help him realize his true power, so he leave the team and start his new journey, some say that the mantle keep whispering thought to him but who knows maybe it gave him the power that surpass any human so that he became the Canta we all knows and love but who knows (Also why bringing your palico isn't useless to you)

Happened to do a P6 Katie solo today for 21min. It was a complete accident as I disconnected upon reaching area 2. And I had no idea I can manage it alone. All in all quite surprising and satisfying.
Can you try a solo with the longsword? Would be fun to watch that. Nice vid Canta!
This quest and how it's setup is kinda lame. It's a shame they've gated the best part of the game (rng weapons) behind it.

Hey bud. Not sure if you figured it out yet, but the quest is pretty simple. Just go to your special assignments in the info tab, and look at all the parts to break. Each time you break a part you get points for that part until it fills. Once it’s filled you get more rewards. In short, just look at the objectives 😬
Once you break all the parts, break the horns completely, and you can finish the quest and get rewards. Note: you can break the gold on the horns first and then chip the horns, then completely break them. Hope this helps any one who hasn’t completed it.

Just FYI, the cannons can be turned. That first cannon can give you a free and easy 3600 damage within a very short amount of time.
so is there a max reward level? or is it possible to reach rank8 (highest rank) weps with reward level 16-17 which soloable?

Is it possible to farm parts solo?
Since the point of the quest is to just break the horns, wouldn't it be faster to use something that could hit the horns at all times, or is this quest designed uniquely that the monster dies with hp like normal but she won't die until you can land one last hit on the horn?
I still have no idea why my pursuit level objectives aren't being met, even though IV gotten level 6.
So he doesn't leave if you go to camp...I got carted once then tried to get back and he left when i was at the lava room...i guess if im about to die fly out instead of die.
This seige mode is terrible. A few friends and i were trying this and we wasted 8 hours and didnt break his horns. I get that you want to make it hard. It has to be but wasting 8 hours and getting a lot of shit weapons is not worth it at all.
interesting i did not beat her then the following day tried to continue, it resets your level, and lets you claim rewards... lol back to lvl 1

I really like these siege quests, would still be cool to scale them down for solo players. This farming for weapons is really fun instead of grinding for streamstones and decos all the time.
and also is that roll through attacks just for dual swords or your mantle because i haven't had the chance to play yet to try it
took me 23 mnt with LS.. start at lv 5 pursuit and the reward only lv 14

You already had her on the map. Which pursuit level did you start at, I was prepared to be impressed and astounded if this was a clear from zero pursuit, but I myself have done this.
Also you can’t fight Kulve Offline. So, you are not being truthful about that second clear you are boasting to. (Though I just suspect you were online and alone, not that you didn’t kill her)
Yeah I worded it poorly, it was done while being alone in a private session. All of this was done live on stream and is archived on my twitch channel btw, I wouldn't make such claims if I hadn't had any proof available to back it up. As a matter of fact, I did it twice, one was shortly after this monster came out and another time to get a proper speedrun of her at lv6.

So i sat 10 to 12 hours yesterday trying to solo this, broken off all gold and parts, knocked her down X Times so i could focus on the horns but never made them to brake.. Used nergigantes dualblades and partbreaker lvl2. Any tips?
And no "git gut" and "don't play solo" is not the kind of tips i want
Vargsong partbreaker doesnt help in killing her at all, its like elder dragons where you can only break horns when they are at low health. Might as well go for full damage to get there faster and then focus on the horns.
Sad thing is if I did a solo video it would get like 4 views

What a clone of Ceadeus, Lao Shan Lung, Royal Ludroth, Great Jagras, Nergigante, and every other monster with four legs in the series, right guys?
And they release this right after Deviljho when he’s just a scaled up Great Jaggi? Like, they have the same skeleton. So unoriginal.
We need like a half Neoptaran, half fanged Elder Dragon, with eight legs, four heads, four wings, six arms that are also heads, four different forms, two other smaller monsters that back it up, a special map with ten different phases, and a demon transformation half way through the fight.
I admit thats a pretty looong fight but the 3rd and 4th phases make up for it
Im just trying this quest today, solo. At first, me like what the hell am I supposed to do? It’s very frustrating. Then i rinse and repeat. Now im on level 6 pursuit. At area 4. The gold plating is already detached from the horn but im fail to break the horn as the KT is flee away. Damn. Almost.
I don't get the pursuit thing. I've fought KT 4 times and got level 2 pursuit then after that, it made me obtain rewards and I got my pursuit level back to 1 and every fight have is she always leave, I have no chance to break her horns. Help.

Seeing KT's move set, I feel like people will be able to pull some crazy ass times with LS and CB since she does a bunch of huge, telegraphed attacks with large openings. Perfect for GP into full discharge or a counter into helmbreaker. I feel like LS would need a rocksteady though, so you don't get knocked out of the air by anything unexpected. Also, can anybody tell me how the rewards factor into YOUR quest when you solo it but others are also doing it in the lobby? Do you still get more rewards?
I just realized something:
When I 1st played monster hunter back at 3u, I thought :
" I deal a lot of strikes in a short time, damage will stack a lot higher than a heavy weapons attack." Now I see how true I am.
ur half right, dbs and sns get a lot of their damage from their elemental properties.

you should really try it again with Chargeblade(Diablos Tyrannis of course) and part breaker 3. SAED just destroys parts so easily and you deal tons of damage even when she has her gold armor on. Literally one SAED and she leaves the first area instantly with one part already broken.

Doesn't abit of the concept of this fight remind you of talkun? That crab you had to destroy it's shell bit by bit which lead to different phases until you can actually fight it properly... Which was a bad day super fast crab flying with lighting lol it's been years since I played frontier but this fight reminded me of that abit and the mantis "free loot" treasure from mhxx lol

Today I tried solo, manage to get him to the final level, then it is really hard to deal some damage, the fire breath and his constant attack makes me guard and evade but no attack. I've been using gun Lance and Charged axe, I think I'm gonna try another weapon
Have you tried doing it solo in a private hub? I’m quite sure it’d take multiple tries since the damage accumulates even after she runs away or you faint 3 times.
everything that is done in the siege on multiplayer can be done solo. u just have to do everything your self, including objectives, to get good rewards.
ive been doing it solo too, got to part where she loses her cold coat bout 4 times, but yeah soloing you have to have get good fast lol
