Hey, Ben - great video. I just wanted to confirm that the vehicle you were driving is the 6-cylinder SE trim, correct? I ask because I've been looking everywhere about whether or not this engine size and trim has the center and/or rear diff and based on your video, it does. This is something even my salesperson was not able to answer and nowhere on the Land Rover site indicates this. At the minimum I assumed there would be the center diff but now seeing your video, I was shocked to see both the center and rear - which is great news to me. I cannot believe I had to go to a youtube video to confirm this info that no one else at the dealership or even on the website was able to provide.

You should do a comparison between the bmw x7 and the Range Rover 3 row suv version. :)

If you’re already spending $115k+ on a luxury SUV, just splurge a little more and get the better engine. BMW’s 4.4 V8 is *chef’s kiss*

That’s not correct psychology - see my prior post , the V8 is >20k more when similarly equipped. People don’t think if they’re spending >115k they’ll spend another 5-10% of the purchase price. Psychology says when you’re at the top of the market price wise , why would I spend 10, 15,20 k more when no one can tell the difference . There no markings telling anyone you have a p400 vs a p530 , build one online , check out the pricing . The engine upgrade is worth 10k max not >20k .

I-6 because of one reason: BMW. One thing I hate about this generation is that they went from the magnificent JLR 5.0 to the BMW 4.4 V8, which is tremendously problematic and a lease-only if you must.
And Holy Mother of Jesus H. Christ: DEATH TO ALL PIANO BLACK PLASTIC! Sooooo over the trend from all automakers. The only automakers that gets it right is Rolls Royce because it is indeed black piano lacquered wood.

“Down on power…” kind of silly statement. This vehicle never had 400hp in the standard engine and certainly doesn’t need 530hp. Its closest competitors from BMW and MB with an I6 don’t have 400hp and they’re not competitors from a capability and towing standpoint. No sane person would drive this vehicle at 120mph or higher , the v8 doesn’t make you perform better off-roading (not that anyone does with this rig) so it’s all for show . If you want the RR get the I6. If you believe in freedom , get what you want and smile while saying hello guvner!

The 2024 has a e- lock center and rear differential . The front differential is always open . You can lock the rear and center but I think you have to be in rock crawl mode and low speed. Going to fast puts the locks into a variable lock and open depending on speed, ride height and steering angle. Obviously you shouldn’t drive with the center and rear locked on seal pavement ( I don’t think the computer will let you) . There is no front locker unlike the g wagen or Toyota LC .

The hybrid should be the one to get, hopefully they don't screw it up.

It's a great-looking SUV but it would look better if they were integrated the entertainment / tablet into the dash
    Thank you for sharing this

I would definitely go with Inline 6.
If that V8 was from Toyota,Yes! I choose V8 over 6cyl, but it is from BMW..I'm not for sure. I'm worry about engine oil burn and leaks..hmm🤔

After all of these years, they still have valve stem problems, oiling issues, etc.

The V8 is not a little more. Similarly equipped I6 is a minimum of 20k less than the V8 . That’s too much of a differential . Build one online , you will see

It’s a Range Rover who tf cares about hybrid, they should do like they used to and only offer a V8 especially for the Sport, it’s embarrassing how the new Sport only comes with a hybrid 6 cylinder especially over $100k. They should go back to the old Jaguar V8
