    Love watching you paint, fast or slow! Enjoy your PBS series with Sarah! Thank you both for your generosity in sharing your adventures and your painting process where I have learned a lot!

    Love the moodiness of this. Warm pallette is really a plus.

    I agree with those who don't like the time lapse videos. I find the fast motion distracting, it's fine if you just want to see a painting take shape but I don't really learn anything from them. I watched a series of videos by one artist on youtube, it took about 60 hours to complete the painting and he spoke about what he was doing and why. I learned much from that series that I will never learn from time lapse videos. I also have watched Painting and Travel and wish this video had been at least 30 min. long.

    You have a beautiful golden cast to the painting yet it's not overpowering. The compliment of the blueish slate colors just work great plus a real nice job on the puddle reflections. Outstanding piece. I'm not usually nuts about fall paintings since so many people go nuts with the orange. This is beautiful.

    Hi Roger! I'm very excited to have stumbled across you. I believe we're distant cousins but I'm not exactly sure how. I was probably was 4 or 5 when I met you back in Connecticut some 50+ years ago. You were in the Navy at the time. We have several ink and wash drawings of dad sitting in a rocking chair and of our house that you did while visiting us. I'm glad to have found you and am a fan of your work. All the best to you!

      Yes... I'm sure that was me when I was in the Navy visiting your parents farm. I don't remember much about it except doing a few sketches from a hill of the farm if I remember correctly. Like to know more about all this. Call me if you like. My phone info is on my website Bansemer.com
      Thanks for getting in touch.

    I would suggest to those who dont like the time lapse, to watch once in real time to hear the narration, then watch it again at 25% play back speed with the sound off.

    Great job Roger !
    But I was just wondering if you was going to redo the painting of the old truck and garage that was originally on this canvas.
    The painting that is covered over with white paint on the canvas.
    Just saying.

      I had forgotten about that painting underneath... It was one of those paintings that no matter what I did, it just didn't seem right to me so I cut my losses and painted over it.

      @@Bansemer I think that a 1956 Ford F100 is the best looking old truck.
      I love seeing them.
      Thanks for the great work that you do !

    I'm curious about the mediums you use with oils?

    • @Bansemer
      @Bansemer  7 місяців тому +1

      I think my paint with mineral spirits and use Liquin also which speeds drying time.

    • @Bansemer
      @Bansemer  5 місяців тому +1

      Just mineral spirits and some Liquin to speed drying.

    Roger, I really enjoy watching you paint. I like the time lapse because I can see your process from start to finish in useful amount of time. My question: sometimes you paint in oils and sometimes in acrylics. How do you decide which medium you are going to use for your painting?

    • @Bansemer
      @Bansemer  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Wayne. No real reason why I use oils or acrylics. Just like to use oils sometimes and acrylics other times. It's basically all the same to me. It's more about shape, color, etc than it is about what medium I'm using.
