- Click to Subscribe! ► bit.ly/JOovvU - Building a scale trail 4x4 or 6x6 off road crawler course technically CAN be done in a single day, but truly is a work of evolution over a period of time. The way to get a crawler course.. is to simply start building. These courses can be any size, large - or small. I want to take a moment to thank all of my friend and RC family who came out to the RCSparks Studio Ranch today to give me a hand in bringing a good start to the scale park. Everyone put in a good days work and ample creativity to get we accomplished today.
I filmed this experience to help give viewers some ideas about what can be done at home, for a rather little amount of money. In fact, if you need an excuse to get out and clean up the yard.. this is it! Everything you scavenge can be used to build your own backyard radio control truck park. Imagination is the key to your success, and finding your resources will become easy! So many folks have written to me over the years and say "There is nothing about RC around my area". My answer has always been - then build your own! If you build it.. they will come :) All styles of RC terrain can be used.. and over time, you are going to see THiS track evolve. I have some really neat plans that I know you will all continue to enjoy.. and will make for some great RC ADVENTURES! Your imagination and suggestions will be used as well. Feel free to leave comments, and we may use an idea! Lots of fun to come in the upcoming months..
Thank you for tuning in today, and be sure to check out my friends UA-cam channels - RC ATHLETES ( / damedcamera , and CHRiS RAPPEL ( / cwr2011rc .

I love this guy, always a great tude, always pleasant to watch. Grown men playing with toy trucks, good for the soul.
What a great community. It's nice to know there's always a group of people to come lend a hand.
you have inspired my wife and I to jump into the hobby. we have fully embraced RC'ing. thank you for the inspiration and the fun times that are yet to come.
out of all the cool trucks you've done, this is by far my favorite video ive searched for. Especially after seeing the final product and the first few times you went through the first version. Keep up the good work brother.
PALLETS are awesome the most versatile resource in a backyard crawlers dream.. They can be taken apart and the planks used for many different obstacles 👍😆😀
RCSparks Studio is always awesome with tips and ideas.
what a perfect day. still planning my course / track , your lucky to have dedicated friends.
Hi RCSPARKS Studio I just wanted to say that you inspire me to keep on working hard and. Always have ideas about what you can do to make your previous idea better and how to make my RC better. Thanks again for all the support
Hi Anthony! I am always SO pleased to hear that someone has been inspired to get out and to have some fun with the RC hobby. Thank you for your awesome comment!
That was a god day :) Glad i made it out. Look forward to the next round
Yeah it’s been six years, back watching again love this video. Plus to get some great ideas
I wish I owned my house. I don't think my landlord would appreciate me doin that. Looks awesome tho. Cool video
You don't have the right to do stuff on the ground you rent in the US😮 If you rent a house in Germany, you can treat it like it's your property with some exceptions.
I can't even get to do that outside on my property I got neighbors that complain about me using my RC's I'm not even allowed to use My RCS outside I can't even use my rock crawler my my fast and furious drift cars or my fast and furious 4 x 4's I can't even use my other big rock climbers that are that are four wheel drive I can't even get to use my little faster.
This is great. I like going on hikes and finding obstacles to play on. I also have been gathering stuff from the yard to make obstacles
I just started to build my own track in the backyard your so lucky to have so many helpers great job all of you keep building
Great track quickly built by some good friends, love it..........it's actually bigger than my back yard !
Always great when you find one I missed sweet video so much change to now
I've watched all your videos and learned so much my first Rc car was a Walmart toy... fun ik.but just a few days ago I bought a Rc car called a dromida Mt.4 it's quick on cement but you got me into fast Rc cars like transaxx, losi and all the other top Rc dealers but thank you so much for bringing us Rc videos
I want to build an outdoor rock crawler course for my axial scx24 deadbolt this spring and now I’ve got some more ideas as to what I want to build! Thanks for the video!!!
Right on! You guy made quick work of that course! Love the teeter-totter idea!
Wow no one replied to this comment after 5 years
Wicked track! Everybody did a great job👍 😎 🚙
This is the best backyard track I ever seen
Can't wait to see the track finished. Great job

I wish my scx10 was running haha. That's part of the hobby!
This just popped up in my recommendations. Haven't seen this video since you first uploaded it. Man, I STILL need to get myself a Gelande 2!!
I've been contemplating on going this in my back yard as well... Gotta go around and find junks to collect
AWESOME! REMINDS ME OF WHEN WE BUILT OUR TRACK ACROSS THE STREET. UNFORTUNATLEY THERE ARE CONDOS THERE NOW. AND IT WAS MAINLY NITRO SO PEOPLE STARTED COMPLAINING
This video is just what i needed i have a nice clearing that i want to make into my rc haven with a racetrack and scale crawling stuff and this video gave me so many great ideas
I’m just getting into this scale trail areas !! I have 15 archers!! I love all your videos of RC.. I mostly do 1/5 scale gas 💪🏻💪🏻⛽️💥
This is literally my dream course. Great work!
Thanks, now I have some ideas with my backyard areas that are not used as yard anyway...Awesome!
I was thinking of building one but didn't know what to include, now I know! Thank you!
Thats great, my friend. That was our goal. I will keep including things into this area that help enhance the look and function. I will keep them things that most folks can find
Yeah I love scale I went out today to get some good footage of some river riding
Awesome job as always medic! Nice job rc family and friends. Truly representing the hobby at its best
AWESOME COURSE!!! great video! thanks for the inspiration!!!!!!!
Maurice is funny!"well well well" in the background
I am in the woods (Upper Pen Michigan) with so many trees that there's nearly no sun so there's no grass, only moss. The other cool thing is that I have a crap ton of rocks/boulders over every square inch of my 2 acres with very little useable dirt. I am planning on starting about a 1/4-1/2 acre track this spring. I already have a huge rock wall and even rock stairs that should make it easy to get started. Can't hardly wait! I have an Axiel, Traxxass, Banchee and a few others I am looking forward to running this summer on the new trails! =)
Perfect video to watch and learn from while I build my outdoor track lots of good ideas🤘
Great work Erin!! Honestly I would love to visit your ranch!! Keep up the great work!!
i thing this is the most detailed course you have done yet!
I would never dis because of it, but I do agree with less wood thing (for me), especially when one has the room and the bigger toys to use. My course is small and unfinished due to wanting to keep the terrane "real" if you will. BUT, everything RCS does is awesome, how can one fault the guy living the dream, keep em coming.
Oh my goodness.. i think when you see the updated version of this course - you would be smiling from ear to ear! Check out my front page (click my name) and check out my 1 million viewed videos playlist. Click the first or second one.. you will be amazed :)
Man that turned out awesome. It's great to build your own backyard crawler course. We sure have enjoyed ours and it just keeps growning. lol.. Thumbs up!
It's always great when they grow... lol. You start out really small, and then before you know it they are huge...
Very very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice track im going to build one on my litle back yard thanks for shear the video great group too
That track is awesome
Damn, i wasnt sure about what it was gunna look like in the beginning. completely blew me away awesome course bro.
Wow that's really awesome! I've never seen a track like that before but it does look like so much fun to traverse!! Great video and idea!
Looks great. Teeter toter is a simple cool and challenging idea. Love it.
I have come across some awesome teeter totters in my day, and they are always fun!!
Love the dead dancing bear.
Good eye!
first thing I saw was the Jerry bear too lol
this looks like so much fun, thanks for the video.
I like the use of pallets. I have pretty much all the pallets I can get where I work. Be good way to make fill. Then as they rot or degrade would make new challenges
It was a great day to build a track, its amazing how much got done WOW. I've got a few more ideas for ya too, Will and I will build it and bring it out next time. Great vid
Thank you for all the help Chris! Looking forward to having another fun place for everyone to enjoy this summer :)
I love the effort you guys put on this
Loved it. Can't wait to try this out on our farm
Cool to see the course being built that I've seen in your videos so much.
Working on my own backyard course and your vid came up in the search results for inspiration.
Look at Medic here and now 🤘 Big change eh✨💪

Thanks bud! Im glad you get a smile or two out of 'em!
This IS SPARTAAA! you look like Leonida but much better!
Watching this video on Jerry’s birthday. I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and thought this guys gotta be a deadhead. Saw your shirt on this video and said... yep. He sure is!
Man I'd love to get out there and try that course!
damn you got some mad skid-steer skills.. props
Grab the garden hose and pack that dry dirt down! =) Great video!
Great start to the track, glad to help out.
Aaron, it's always awesome to see one of your trucks roll up on scene :) Thanks for putting in some great community spirit and hard work yesterday!
Dig your shirt man!
cool course you guys built there. looking forward to the vids that come.
Looks like fun. And possibly a hotel for unwanted "crawlers" if you get my drift.
It all turned out Awesome
Thanks Shayen! Its the start of something really amazing. Should be a fantastic season for all we have planned!
this is very inspiring to see how this came together. i will be trying to build a course when i more . again awesome video thanks
Looks like so much fun! Need to fix my U4 Stampede...
Hey RCSparks Studio I love your vids! Keep it up man!
I love to build my own crawler courses. You gave me some great ideas on making my next course! I can't wait to be able to build it, but I have to wait because the summer heat is pretty intense where I am. Thanks for giving me some great ideas on what to do.
Awesome starter ideas with the pallets as a solid base to build elevation. I have plans to build one with my boys at our home in Florida. Our biggest problem is the sand, it does not hold together. I plan on adding a truck load or so of clay just to give us some base. Thanks for all your vids. I find them very informative and entertaining.
I owe the pallets idea to my friend, Crawler Ted. He used to run a rock crawling group.. and they used pallets to pile rocks high. Make sure to screw them together! Haha ;) Good luck on your build with your son - my friend, and thanks for commenting!
Wow. That looks amazing. So cool how easily you can turn nothing into something
Exactly! It was basically scrap I had been collecting from around my ranch! Looks like a pile of garbage to most folks.. but to me it was a pile of potential. Now, we have a great area to build on and to have fun! Thanks for commenting
Coolest RC how to, to date. Awesome video!
love these videos about crawling! make more!
doesn't hurt to have a skid steer either haha. great job my friend. looks like a lot of fun. :-)
Looks Great Medic!!!!!!!!!👍🏼
absolutely superb👏👏👏👏👏. Puts my backyard course to shame 😁 lol. Great to see you all enjoying a great day we'll done 👍😎
Hi Steve! Thanks bud.. Hey man, any place that gives an RC hobbyist a smile, is a GREAT PLACE! Thanks for coming by today!
Very nice and even in the shade too. Keep on RC'n
great video medic that will be very handy to have in the back yard.
Man that looks great! A loot of helpful tips.
Glad to hear it!
lol watching in 2021 and the inexpensive wood is now like gold
What a great build! What scale trucks are you using?
How much square meters is the trail itself, to give me an idea to check whether my terrain is big enough 🤩
My wife would trip out if I did that lol
Thats sad I couldn't imagine being that hen pecked
Just wanted to say that I think y'all are awesome! Videos are great!
Hi Greg! Hey, thanks for the positive comment my friend.. glad you are enjoying the films :)
No Problem! I like how you guys keep it real.
That looks awesome Medic. I have been doing the same sort of thing myself in my backyard in preparation for when I get my honcho. I'm just using rocks, bits of broken concrete, bricks, paving stones and some other bits and pieces I have found around the yard of on the side of the road.
That turned out to be an awesome project, not something everyone can do unless you have the material, but if you have acess to a trailer and a number 2 shovel, the sky is the limit. Pallets are free plus most of that other stuff can be had free also. One mans junk is another mans obsticle course. I live in a trailer park but they have a construction dump out back that makes a natural course. Concrete, wood, brush, dirt piles, you name it. Even some natural hill climbs not far from that, complete with rocks and gravel.
AWESOME ATTITUDE, Scott! That's exactly what this video was made to show. If a person is willing to but a little work in.. most material we used here was free! Old Junk Tires, Sticks, Stones, some twine, old plastic.. it all comes together for a great little scale track!
I wish I could let my Rc hobby run wild like you do D':
DAMN I forgot about your Alberta course! Just bought 2 Entry level crawlers and looking for ideas for a home course. I have a decent creek to run up (dry in the summer) but want more. SO cool to visit this blast from the past!
Awesome video... Love this Defender crawling throw the stones!!!
You need to make a bridge using steel cable instead of a bunch of 2x4's. It would be a nice challenge.
Yes, a wire bridge is coming.. of course.. this is just a starting point!
Great Job Medic! Looks awesome. When you're done, load up that bobcat and head on down to Ky ... :)
I've been in the Rc family for a while I subbed at 100 subs got out of Rc for a while came back and your at a million!!!!
10th, lol. Great video as always Medic

Doooooo moooooorrrrrrre at this track it's so cool
