An era many will never know! The Wishbook and the JCP Christmas catalog, in my memory are what kicked started the season. It was simply mind blowing to see toys for sale that in some cases had not even made it to store shelves.

Looking through the Christmas catalogs brings back a rush of memories. It also helps to organize the timelines of my favorites - seeing the NES, Supernaturals, Real Ghostbusters, & Captain Power all in 1987

Ah, the Sears Wish Book. By that time I'd stopped looking through them as I was going to college. In fact, in 83, I'd just graduated from Penn State with a BA in History, then went to Ohio University for a MA in Early Modern European History.

Why do I feel that conversations went like: So Student Animaction, did you circle what you would like to see Santa bring you? I don't see any circles. What? GI Joes? The whole page??
I may or may not have done similar with Transformers. :P
