As an older guy, I felt my eyes swelling with a tear or two of happiness knowing that YOU (parents)(despite drama dad :) ), are raising capable, kind and amazing kids. Giving hope to a future generation. Parents, you are phenomenal. I wish you all the absolute very best. --- Thank you for this. Just amazing!
If I may, in the future when grinding on sheet material, cut in grooves. Trying to clean cut like that destroy the cutting blades as you've discovered. Cut light along all 4 sides and you'll be amazed how fast and clean your cut will be.
Man you are living the dream. The American dream, living a self-sufficient life, and teaching your wife and kids to do the same, life-saving and life-changing skills to make it off grid🎯👍❤️🙌
quick suggestion for the equipment and tables you install make sure to silicone them to the Stainless steel wall on the back of the tables and equipment, then seal with the silicone caulk at the edges like you would anything else if you don't it will become a really hard place to clean that will get left dirty and could fail you a health inspection. this is an issue that pops up a lot with homemade stuff like this people forget the need to plan on how to clean quickly and easily.
Great seeing these kids being self sufficient , it’s a breath of grease air during these disturbing times. We had a good trailer before we retired and retrofitted a camper awning to the trailer, this gave a larger area for customers to stay dry when it was raining.
Your girls r so awesome and smart.. you can rarely find young ladies now day that’s willing to work hard and don’t mine getting down and dirty. They have a great parents to guide them!👍👍👍
You guys are simply amazing! I will be up in June to cash in on my Poutine coupon! Great Job girls! As for the funny sound the sheet metal makes, you can actually turn it into an instrument with a violin bow.
Wow your daughters are amazing I'm very very very very proud of her she's doing great all your daughters are doing great and you guys are great are great parents
I've been working with sheet metal for 17 years and never get tired of the sound it makes lol. Side note: make sure you fasten the legs on the lower shelf for your stove top beyond just the set screws they come with. Wouldn't want that falling down with something on it.
I would buy 20 coupons if I could come and pull that protective plastic off. 😀 When you’re welding rounded corners like that, that leave a gap, you don’t need to do it all in one pass. You can do it a couple ways like building it up a little on one side, then do another pass filling in the other, or one deep, then another on top, for example. I’m not a pro welder, but did an intensive month, and welded a lot of that stuff at work one year. I played around with different ways, then cut cross sections to check for penetration, gaps etc..
You guys probably already know. When using them grinding and cutting wheels with all your cooking stuff in there. Do a real good deep cleaning it before you put food in them. Great job on the Jeep Joint.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You guys are so awesome. Yeah dude the girls are more skilled then any public education kids will ever be. Amazing job at parenting. Hats off to the folks.
A little hint when cutting sheet metal with a cutoff wheel on your grinder, run the disc along the cut line without going right through back and forth until it eventually cuts through. You will use a heap less discs and it will cut cleaner. No deeper than the thickness of the metal. It will be through it in no time and only one disc. Not as hard on the batteries either. It also looks like you may need a large mud flap on the back of the jeep too!🤪👍 Great work gang.
I tried to start a hot dog cart but in Reno I couldn't find a commercial kitchen willing to lease depot privilege. I had a unique menu worked up, had the hot dog trailer, I was ready. Ended up selling the trailer to a guy that turned it into a tamale trailer. Maybe I'll try it again some day here in Arkansas
Howdy. While watching a PBS documentary, Earth Emergency, Climate Alert, they talked about methane production which reminded me about this episode of in which you talked about "Murphey" the digestor. Cattails emit 400x more methane than raw foliage such as leaves from trees. You have a pond. Grow cattails. Add in with ingredients for digestor. Increase methane output for fuel. Maybe good idea, maybe not. Anyways, Happy Angry Orchard:30 (Beer:30)! 🐺
just a little tip next time you cut a window in your food truck....instead of trying to cut your window out from the inside, drill 4 holes in the panelling from the inside at the corners then go to the outside with your straight edge draw 4 lines between your drill holes so you can now use the 1mm grinder blade and cut your window out of the panelling from the outside with ease...great job by the way you must be soo proud of your girls and likewise them towards you for teaching them well !!!!!!!
Abby, Christina , Julia and Kez have done some fantastic work 💫 despite being hampered at ever turn by Dad Jeff 🤣 . Wonderful patients Girls. May the venture be a big money spinner for you all. 😊 I would love to taste it but I am a million miles away in Ireland ☘☘🍁🍁 🍁 Great Show, looking forward to seeing it on the road. #GridlessnessRocks
Wow wow wow ur kids are so impressive with all of there creativity , there beautiful energy and insane learning life skill’s 🤩🥰 Good on ya mom n dad 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I could see a wood burning oil heater on the front of the trailer plumbed into the deep fat fryer with rather large diameter tubing for when Propane becomes too expensive or even unobtanium.
Abby. You can make awesome realistic "wind" sounds with that sheet steel! Hold it on each end and bend it slightly while rubbing the lower edge down the front of your blue jeans on your thigh. Vary the pitch by bending the sheet a bit more or less. In a few minutes you can make the sounds of an arctic storm. Enjoy
All is looking awesome...one thing I have to point out though , clean the nozzle on the welder and slow down on your speed and the weld will be smoother ,causing more meat if you will to be in the parent metal ,plus less grinding .. by no means don't think that I don't think it's AWESOME that those little ladies are such hard and skill oriented workers. .Great Job...
Wow, first class workmanship and resourcefulness. Great job ladies. Love the weld bead, looks perfect and nice puddle control. Excellent idea on the stove with perfect fitment. Well thought out and executed plan for the kitchen layout. Just Awesome!👏👏
I think it is amazing that the girls are doing all the work. I call that great parenting. They have mad skills and will be teaching their husbands some day.
You could use the sound of the stainless panel to attract customers to The Jeep Joint Poutine Truck, ya know, like an elk mating call... lol Pffsttt... Propane powered fryers... All ya need is to lay down one Hot Dave on the floor and position the fryer and a burner above it and ya have endless heat for cheap! I wish you the greatest of success in this Gastronomical Adventure! Just a suggestion... Mud flaps on the Jeep!
What a team you have. I think you need some kind of spray washer to clean the mud off when you get into town, like a super pump sprayer or a very tiny gas pressure washer . An alternative would be to make a vinyl bonnet for the front of the trailor that is removable and clean it off at home. A roll out awning would be better than a car part that creates drag. The larger your awning the more attention it draws and shade from summer heat, protection from spring rain and you could bring a fold up canopy for people to sit under or IN with mosquito netting for the summers if you plan to be in one spot more than a few hours.
If you are going to cook water based liquids on the gas stove attach a stainless barrier (small wall) to the end of the bench next to the deep fryer to stop any spills pouring into the deep fryer. As water will cause to contents of the deep fryer to overflow and possibly catch fire also. A couple of other tips, you will have to drain the fryer every time you move the trailer- drain any hot oil into a metal container with a lock on lid and secure it. You might want to make a purpose built frame into your setup to be able to securely hold the oil container.
It's looking good! There's a lot of questionable trucks down here that park anywhere and open up.... Piece of old paper on the wall with food splatter.... lol Friend has a nice Taco trailer. Does tacos, burritos and only beef, pork and chicken... Does one thing and parks at certain places for farm workers and flea markets at exact times and days and does pretty good. They know he's coming and they're waiting. To finish the build, a small investor for a percentage back on the outcome sales?... You've already shown determination to make it a go!
I think I broke 100 of those blades, the same way lol 😂 I bought myself a hay waggon and I started a mini house on it and I made my door and windows. 5/8plywood hook on chain. It looks like food truck when I open my window lol and when I open the door, it looks like a plane
Recip saw for cutting the windows.. Great job on the raising kids front btw - hat tipped. Dude done good. :-) "Supper is ready" isn't a hint tho - that means someone just spent ages cooking - so "Suppers ready" only has one proper reply - "Be right there in the next 10 seconds! Thanks!" - otherwise you're on the "I am a gowl" list and your next supper is going in the dog/will be stuff you cooked yourself...
I was admiring the welding and fabrication skills. That in itself is a very profitable side hussle. I wouldn't want to see them make full time of the work. They're very pretty and welding full time is hard on the skin.
Hi, the look on your daughters face playing tunes on the sheet of stainless steel, priceless. I’m imagining that was the look on the Star Wars sound crew as they put together the sound effects for the film. Apparently they just hunted for cool sounds from everyday objects. I’m still looking forward to the first franchise of ‘Abbie’s Poutine shack’ opening here in the U.K. 😁.
Only bad thing about dropping that cook top down is when your cooking the counter on either side of the burner is going to get a little warm, Thats how mine is in the restaurant so be careful. FYI
I'm simply moving to an area with gem fields to get into sapphire prospecting for making money while I get a caravan(trailer home) to live in so I can move to different sapphire prospecting areas depending on the time of year. With any luck I'll buy around 50 acres of land to turn into a plantation and farm to be as self sufficient as possible with hunting. Doing a food trailer/truck is a good idea so I wish you some good luck with everything!
you should have traced the window during dry fit than cut it then weld the window frame in OR weld the window frame in and in each corner of the window drill a small 1/4 inch pilot hole and cut the window from the outside using a guide or fence - i see you guys do all sorts of cool stuff and you didn't think of that? that's nuts... lol
The food truck is awesome but the Jeep door is a whole can of worms best left on the shelf. You need to find video of people playing the 🪚 as an instrument. It's crazy old hillbilly stuff and very cool. Keep up the good work!
JEFF! When Rose goes through all the work to make you supper, you can at least respect the effort enough to go eat when it’s ready! You got to eat anyway, do it when’s it’s ready! Saves sleeping in the shop later!🤣
Amazing to see the girls aren’t afraid of tackling or doing anything . Extremely impressive. Kudos to the girls in spite of their father’s antics.
When you have a dad that is always hyping you up the right way, you really get to a point where you know u can do anything.
You've raised some real capable young women, great welding job! Wow I'm impressed.
Abigail playing with that sheet of stainless…I could see her dads genes at work there! 😂🤣
Can’t believe Jeff didn’t break down how the sheet metal makes that sound!!! Come on pops!!!
You could start a food truck factory with those girls! They are so talented.
Best family in the human race.
Well done!
Great job Abby and Julia... what an impressive array of skills you have! I wish you all the best as a small business owner/operator.
quick suggestion for the equipment and tables you install make sure to silicone them to the Stainless steel wall on the back of the tables and equipment, then seal with the silicone caulk at the edges like you would anything else if you don't it will become a really hard place to clean that will get left dirty and could fail you a health inspection. this is an issue that pops up a lot with homemade stuff like this people forget the need to plan on how to clean quickly and easily.
Not any silicone.
They sell special caulking for stainless kitchens
Great seeing these kids being self sufficient , it’s a breath of grease air during these disturbing times. We had a good trailer before we retired and retrofitted a camper awning to the trailer, this gave a larger area for customers to stay dry when it was raining.
Ambitious!
These girls are unstoppable!
Your girls r so awesome and smart.. you can rarely find young ladies now day that’s willing to work hard and don’t mine getting down and dirty. They have a great parents to guide them!👍👍👍
This is real girl power not the false girl power the alphabet mafia sells.
The sound of that flexing piece of stainless was oddly satisfying.
Reminded me of Rolf Harris's song - Tie me kangaroo down. Google that one LOL
Congrats Abby, well done! Looks great! :)
Abbi n Julia...awesome job! Keep on with the magnificent " food truck"
evolution!!! You got this!!
The good Dad have trained his doughters so well,,,,, they are almost like engineers..... Keep up your work
Those girls are a force to be reckoned with!
I would be proud to have kids who can taki the initiative to take on a job like this and learn so much from it 💯💪
You guys have no trouble making work fun! Coming along great! Mud flaps are definitely in order 😁
Put a PA speaker on the poutine truck and do the stainless steel noise, kinda like an ice cream truck music but better!
I've been working with sheet metal for 17 years and never get tired of the sound it makes lol.
Side note: make sure you fasten the legs on the lower shelf for your stove top beyond just the set screws they come with. Wouldn't want that falling down with something on it.
😍😍👏👏👏👏👏💚💚💚💚 some of most BEAUTIFUL and talented women ever congratulations on your food truck wish you all the best of luck

Go with a camper awning! Be more room for customers if its raining.
Wow, first class workmanship and resourcefulness. Great job ladies. Love the weld bead, looks perfect and nice puddle control. Excellent idea on the stove with perfect fitment. Well thought out and executed plan for the kitchen layout. Just Awesome!👏👏

You are raising three very amazing young women. Kudos!
Your living my dream congratulations on your beautiful daughters they are remarkable. Great job girls all of ya.
Good job girls. Good sales coming.
It’s the simplest things that can amaze us. LOL stainless steal panels music.

The food truck is going to be fantastic, great work everyone, well done !
See food is the key factor to getting things done!
And a bucket of Sheila Shine!
Great Job on they Food Trailer. You may want to install some Mud Flaps on the Jeep. I Wish You All the Best.
It's looking good! There's a lot of questionable trucks down here that park anywhere and open up.... Piece of old paper on the wall with food splatter.... lol

A full awning down the side would look better and be more shelter for customers.
Dad reminds me of a Steve Martin kind of character, especilly when he yells through a little hole..."how much poutine do you want?" Hahaha
I too am a sheet metal flopper lol. They make some of the coolest sounds
What a beautiful family. You guys have to be so proud of this girls.
You all make me want to get off my duff and get to work. Time for me to get to it. Thanks for the videos!
That is awesome!
Precious smile😀 2:35
Congratulations Abigail just dont over look a AC unit its going to get real warm in there
Your girl,s are greatly skilled you must be very proud of them.
@ 12:14 my jaw dropped and I said WOW! You did a SUPERB JOB Abigail!
Good luck with everything. Your kids are wonderful 👏 🙏🙏🙏🙏💪
pop rivets would've been so easy compared to the screws. loved using them on aircraft in the military.
I think I broke 100 of those blades, the same way lol 😂 I bought myself a hay waggon and I started a mini house on it and I made my door and windows. 5/8plywood hook on chain. It looks like food truck when I open my window lol and when I open the door, it looks like a plane

Never seen dad hugging his daughters and giving them a BIG SLOPPY KISS EVER

Sooo bummed we won’t be able to make it to the campout! Glad the food trailer is coming along though.
Just sent you an email!
I have built a few of these. you want a side opening or a larger roof exhaust vent otherwise they turn into a sweat box
Your girls are just as fun loving as their dad! Speaking about enjoying the sound of the sheet metal sound making.
Yep u all r sooo talented beyond words good job
Hey, Jeff, I got an awesome thing for you!
Search for this video: *2 Liter Bottle Compressor (No Moving Parts).*
Then, make us a video with that idea!
I didn't think it was possible to be any more impressed with your girls but I guess you showed me!
Head Cook and Bottle Washer! I hope you do well 🐦.

Congrats . You and your wife done a great job with your girls . You all rock !! 🍟🌭🍔🥪🥩🥓🍖🍗🥙🌯🍝🥗
you guys are awesome!
I wonder if the trailer is going to ,make that sound going down those rocky roads full of chuck holes.

Drill the stainless low and slow not to burn bits🤟
You could heat it with a gassifier check it out on youtube they show you how to build one! or you could buy the plans!
You girls are awesome.May God bless your endeavors.
