Used to camp and fish with my grandpa, out of Kittimat. He built a pulley system so we could set the anchor in deeper water, unload on shore and pull a rope to return the boat to deep water for the night. That kept it out of the rocks when the tide dropped. Some of my best memories, halibut, rock fish, dungeoness crab, we ate like kings
Jeff, your adventures with your girls are amazing… and so fun to watch. Gridlessness is defined as: a family having fun, living large, loving life, in God’s beautiful creation!
Unbelievable, I was #74 👍, with 704 views. How flippin hard is it to hit the 👍. The majority of the people that watch your videos would be regulars & subscribers. It's beyond me that these individuals will watch your content whenever you post & not give you the respect & appreciation for the time & effort you put into sharing your lives with us. It's not like it is costing them anything other than a fraction of a second to give you a 👍 which helps you to continue to bring us many more quality videos in the future. Thank you for sharing & your time & effort. I enjoy & look forward to all your videos. Have a great day 😊.
Loved the video been watching the baby goat videos and building the jeeps well all of them I can find only thing I'm asking from you all girls that you stay amazing all of you and Jeff need more Jeff and Dave videos
Only downside to anchoring overnight is the motion of the water causing chafing on your anchor rope. I lost a couple of anchors in the past in the Gulf of Mexico for that reason before I learned to use chain at the boat end of the anchor line & also between the anchor & the line. And always carry a spare anchor. Losing one will cut your trip short. Have fun.
Greetings from the land of Blaze King, thanks for another video. We passed sort of near your part of the world - through Chetwynd - on a recent road trip and waved northwards to you folks. All the best to you all for the rest of the summer. Let's hope the heat doesn't make for too many fires this year.
Not a comfy Ground but what a view! You guys are scoring the species Taday 🙌. It seems strange not seeing Mum and the rest 😱. Thanks for taking us along😊. JO JO IN VT 😆💕🇺🇸
That was a skate, not a sting ray. You can cook them, check out another UA-camr, deer meat for dinner. He cooked a skate. Thanks for taking us fishing with you. Sure looked like fun.
I have to be honest. I haven’t watched one of your videos that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy! Great job living your awesome lives and loving your family. Thanks guys!
Thumbing through my UA-cam options, I scrolled past one of your old posts. Rose is smiling. I had to back up and revisit you guys. Right then I realized, I totally miss that genuine joy your family exhibits. Too silly sometimes for my taste, but genuine and so lovely. Thank you for sharing. Be well and prosper!
great vid, looks like you had fun... as far as the skate, you can punch meat out of the wings, taste is much like scallops, in fact if you have ever had scallops that were all the same size, you have likely already eaten skate
@@Gridlessness it is used often in less reputable resteraunts as you can imagine, it is much cheaper than real, so profit is high... btw the squeal when skate was caught was classic
The meat is in the fins. Cut down both sides of the fins near the body edge in the center and cut back the top skin off then filet the meat off the bottom skin.
Waited 2 weeks for a vlog and got 25 minutes of gridlesness camp fish and never saw dinner lol I consumed a slice of $6,99 chocolate cake while enjoying the fishing

That’s awesome, thanks guys! It’s 105 degrees in Texas, so thanks for taking me on a cool virtual fishing trip👍🏼
Peel Moss off rocks and lay out on oyr tent site. Levels the area and softens it up.. Less lumpy and oh so soft.,.
Fishing is fun but for me hunting is more exciting! Nice to see you guys!
Please stay safe always.

Right, I wondered about a spare anchor. Good intel, thanks
You can also use a piece of hose over the anchor rope to protect it
Nice again good job
You guys should come to babine lake for sockeye fishing just opened today
Nice camping site and nice fish the girls caught at your fishing spot.👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Great Video, as always......I'll add the slapping sound later...that was a good one

I love this channel.
Wow! Halibut, crab, prawns, and stingray!! Holy canolie! And what a beautiful place!Thank you from the Arizona desert!
Calmest ocean ever! So very very nice.
You should get some of the hammocks with bug netting then rolling terrain with trees won’t be an issue.
That was a skate, not a sting ray. You can cook them, check out another UA-camr, deer meat for dinner. He cooked a skate. Thanks for taking us fishing with you. Sure looked like fun.
LOVE ur video great cash of fish 📹🇺🇸📹 God bless and be safe Texas 64
Great job all around fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream fam. Your doing great work. Gold Squad Out!!!
You should look up how they cook up stingray in Singapore. Tasted amazing!
Don’t cook a Ray! 🤣. Pick up anchor and go further out about a mile or more
The ray you caught is called a skate ! cut the wings off and the meat in the cells of the wings is very much like scallops, just fry in garlic butter
I have to be honest. I haven’t watched one of your videos that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy! Great job living your awesome lives and loving your family. Thanks guys!

Hard to beat a day or two camping along the BC coast-line! Very entertaining Jeff.
The fish you caught that you thought was a sting ray is actually a skate ,they are edible if you cut off and skin the wings.
Great trip!

I've lived on the BC coast for 40 years and raised my kids camping in the bush on Vancouver Island. I'm currently on a Gulf Island
I'm planning a doozy of a camping trip for this fall. I haven't been in several years because I let "life" get in the way.
