I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video! The blend of winter wonderland and Asian cuisine was truly delightful. I am also exploring creative handcrafted activities this winter. Sending warm greetings from Northen Italy. 😊

I love the simple tofu recipe. I'll try that too with maybe ponzu instead of your veggie broth/syrup.

oooh, I've lived for a time without electricity and running water (not at the same time) and its SO much harder to be without running water. I hope you get a thaw soon. Your pickles and agadashi tofu looked mouthwateringly good. I have gone down the vegan protein/meat rabbit hole and have been experimenting with seitan and yuba. Just his morning I saw a YT on vegan Fillipino food and the Tosilog made from yuba looked out of this world delicious. Its funny as I rarely eat the type of "american" food I grew up eating but its always something ethnic: SE Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Ethiopian. It makes for a very strange, overstuffed pantry. I am planning on a German/Swedish Christmas though with actual herring, vegan meatballs, rotköhl, spätzle and pfeffernüsse. But our NYE tradition has become steamed buns, japchae and dumplings. I did not know you were a swiftie. Have fun making your friendship bracelets, I love the colors you chose. I am looking forward to seed catalog season soon, as we are moving back to our home in California and my garden in early Summer 2024, which our tenant has taken very good care of. So excited!

Ok so that Yuba thing - I think I have strips of that at home, just never knew what to make with it so pleaaase send me the recipe! Never cooked anything Filipino. I feel that pantry thing, it‘s a complete mishmash of everything you named (Except ethiopian) and then Swedish stuff and british stuff and so much random stuff. The pantry tour has to come.
I discovered Taylor last year and since then I‘m hooked. I don‘t idealize her as much as others, but I indulge in that girly pop stuff haha 💗
Your garden plans sound so good. And in California theres almost all year round gardening, right? Wish that was the case here 😭
      Happy christmas 💗

@@outdoorhannah Yes, gardening in Sonoma county is year round. You can plant winter veggies Aug through November and be harvesting frost tolerant greens all winter into spring. Favs beans do great. Plus lots of olives, citrus, guava, pomegranate to harvest. We have a bay tree and I make wreaths from clippings to give as gifts for the neighbors.
No experience cooking with yuba yet. I was just going to find a tasilog recipe and use the spice marinade for the rehydrated yuba. I'm going to make this week. The mock duck recipe on eat-thisdotorg is great.
