We had a show with a format like that on this side of the Pond in 1987, it was called Chain Letters, it's first host was the late & great Jeremy Beadle.
I like Samantha Harris as the host of "Tug of Words"! Although I liked Ahmad Rashad previously, Samantha has more energy as the host, I hope this is a long-term thing.

Agreed that Samantha has that "it" about her. She has the ability to not only verbally connect with the contestants, but her body language is also very effective in showing her control of the game. Just watch her hands, her arms, and overall smoothness with how she moves back and forth between the two teams. All that, in addition to being quite attractive.
The show is definitely in the same wheelhouse as Britain’s “Chain Letters.” The main difference is the words are answers to clues rather than making as many words you can without changing the same letter twice running.
I came here to say whoever this lady is in the video is boring!
My first time seeing these show, but all I'm gona say is those foos were given that $10,000 on a silver platter. They had the easy question except for their very last round. lol

just a minor thing, but i think the 6-letter round should have 50-second time limits...
and each cleared step in the Final Tug should give the winners some money, like, $100 apiece
No $1K cause $1K x 10 = $10K
So the guys won 4 out of 5 flags.....the opponents won 1. But whoever wins the last flag in the 6-word round goes to the bonus. This game gives NO credit for your earlier performance, and NO motivation to win, so why bother? You only have to win the 6-word flag. Stupid.

Samantha needs to calm down a little. The host doesn't have to hype it up all the time. Other than this, she's okay. Rashad was probably better but not much better. Samantha could improve over time and surpass him.
Ahmad Rashad was a terrible host he had too much with the contestants instead of playing the game Samantha Harris is much much better!
