Hi, thank you. This was a dry cotton bud I was just wiping her eye as sometimes clients eyes water. Yes I use cooled boiled water to cleanse. From memory this was a 3-4D set.

I tried finding those lint free cleanser pads you had at the beginning of the video on your website but it isn't on there anymore. Is there a new lint free pass cleanser you recommend?
Hi Chelsea, yes we no longer sell those, instead I use our foaming lash cleanser and cotton wool rounds, it doesn't affect any bond and has antibacterial properties: eyelashexcellence.com/product/eyelash-extensions-foam-cleanser/

Frankie I’m having trouble taping . Last week the eye pad slid down, I didn’t notice till the end. What do you suggest?
With this client yes! There was way too much talking and I am still new and I don´t do this often and I fell so behind! I also didn´t put lashes on all the lashes. I forgot to photograph the end result and asked her to send me a picture she had areas where I had not put any lashes. Both eyes were uneven in the laying position picture frontal of the lashes. Standing up and looking straight at me I did not see that though. OH MY GOD THIS IS DAUNTING! Thanks for responding Frankie.

Frankie, I'm in USA. Why do some clients acquire SO MUCH protein and muck around the lash line? My client is super clean but her lashes are so full of protein, I clean for 10 mins before filling her and still they aren't squeaky clean. I can't really order your stuff from UK. I wish you'd make a version of this video cleaning someone with full extensions

Hi Frankie, I love your videos here in Canada, Just one question do you prefer not to use the nebulizer to cure the glue?
There should be no need to use a nano mister ideally. The best way to ensure your adhesive performs and you get good retention is to control your temp and humidity in your salon while working. Nano misters will only help if humidity is very low otherwise it will cause shock curing.

We have to do this in the states with Gloves and clients wearing masks! The steam from the breathing cause the humidity to affect the adhesive 😞

'How long before do you need to patch test too see an allergic reaction? What if its a last moment appointment?
Patch test should be a minimum of 24-48 hours prior to the appointment. Personally I like to do at least 48 hours before as this will give time for a reaction to show. My policy is you must have a patch test to have an appointment, in the UK this is a requirement it may differ in different countries.

The lamps I use are Glamcor, I do sell these on my online shop and ship worldwide (also have Canadian and American distributors). There are different varieties of the glamor, I have had the elite, multimedia and recently changed to the classic revolution which is so good. The revolution has one arm longer than the other so I can place one light over one eye and the other light on the other arm stretches across to the other eye, meaning I no longer need two lamps!

Frankie i just started and i truly believe i'm getting poor/ out dated/ totally incorrect information and it's holding me back. I've done 9 sets and im oddly actually proud of them. i was told .20 is the norm ( FAR to big and they dont get me any other size) , I was told the WHOLE natural lash needs to be connected to the falsie ( who is that even possible unless your putting pin straight on pin straight.
please direct me or tell me if im just confused and theyre correct?
Hi, firstly I am really sorry to hear that you feel you have received out dated training. In my opinion a 0.20 is too heavy for week after week use and is likely to cause damage to the natural lash. I do not train students to use anything over a 0.15 to ensure that lash health is always paramount. People's natural lashes will completely vary and you must assess what the natural lash can hold, so someone who has weak or thinner natural lashes a 0.12 might be more suitable for them. if your training didn't teach you things like assessing the natural lash to know which thickness and length to use then please have a look through my videos to know how to do this. One way is to match the thickness of the extension to the thickness of the natural lash, so if the natural lash is the same thickness as a 0.12 then this would be safe to use. For a natural look only extend by 1-2mm so if the natural lash is an 9mm you will want to place a 10 or 11mm. If the clients wants a more dramatic look then extend by 3-4mm. My advice is not to use over a 12mm, and always match the length of the very inner and outer lashes only as these tend to be weaker lashes.With regards to coating the whole lash we also do not do this, our adhesives our super strong nowadays and by only attaching at the base we can create the direction we want the lash to go in, also at infill it is much easier to remove the extension without damaging the natural lash. How do you do the patch test? Thank you!
Hi Eunice, this can depend on where you live in the world so I would suggest you check with local governing bodies. In the UK we are required to patch test for all the products that will be used on the client. So I cleanse, apply tape, pads and attach several lashes throughout the lash line. I will also swap a bit of remover through the lashes and then take it off. I have got a video on patch testing so have a look at that.

Clients usually won’t have a reaction until after the 3rd exposure to the adhesive so a patch test is almost pointless .
Monique Mininni but what IF they did react, wouldn’t you be relieved that you offered that patch test.
And don’t forget that we should really test for everything we use - so not only the glue, but lashes, pads, cleanser, glue debonder to ensure they aren’t allergic to that.
But yes you are correct that CA reactions “ usually”
Occur overtime due to the over exposure to the product which is why a client can have a patch test and be fine but then react later down the line :(
And for me the patch test apt is a great time for me to do the consultation too so we are thfn good to go on their return.
Yes it’s a good idea and I understand why you do it. But I have all of my clients fill out a consent and consultation form where I ask if they have any known allergies to any of that stuff and I do a ten minute consultation at the beginning of every full set so I can explain what type of reactions can occur and what to do for each case. I offer a consultation appointment and patch test only if they know they have certain allergies and are worrisome.

Do you use cleaner and primer ?
I always use a specifically formulated cleanser for eyelashes then I rinse with saline or cooled boiled kettle water. I never use a primer as it dries the NL out.
And cleaner ? Only you clean lashes with foam for eyelash extensions? No cleaner ?

Acrylic nails are frowned upon in the health care industries and in restaurants. I call them MRSA breeding grounds. I don't feel most people take extra precautions in cleaning them before working on clients???? What are your thoughts?
Well ricky bobby nails are apart of the beauty industry not the health care or restaurant industry and all cosmetologist are taught how to properly clean and how to make sure that their nail technicians are sterile and clean as well. I’m sure she cleaned her hands and nails properly before applying, I’m very positive she wouldn’t jeopardize her license and her salon.

You should never use cotton against the adhesive. The products react in a combustible manner.

Do you not wear extensions?
Hi Lisa, I love to wear extensions and when I do I usually wear colour ones. The issue is my diary is so busy running my business, travelling for training, conferences and competitions that I don't always have the spare time to have my own lashes done unfortunately :(
