    Rescue, I do technical rope rescue and fast water rescue, plus I'm a big guy at 6'3" 225#, the extra size and tools could mean I get you out in time or you're a vegetable if you make it

    The Rescue is allowed on planes, I just unfold mine and put it in the bin outside my bag and nobody has even glanced at it in the last six plane rides I’ve been on in the US.

    If the Raptor Response came with a belt case, that would be the deal-breaker, I love my sheers on my belt

    Hi fine people off Leatherman. I have been using your tools and really like them. The wave, the surge and the supertool. The only downside is that both these shears are really right for you. As a lefty i would like to have a pair and use them also for also for every day tasks. So could you make a left handed version. That would make these shears not only right but also left for those that need/want that

    I went to a local store to get a Micra. Ended up buying the Micra and the last Raptor Response which was on sale. Now I'm eagerly waiting for them to put the Rescue on sale. 😁 BTW, I freaking love my Free K4. Always on me 24/7. Cheers...

    Got 4 leatherman tools I love and use regularly for all kinds of tasks...but on duty as paramedic, I ditched the raptor for some xShears. Sorry. Do check out the Skeletool RX though, think it's a bit underrated.

    If you want to compete with regular trauma shears you have to show your shears cutting a penny

    I fill o2 tanks everyday and leather gloves are a requirement when handling any and all cylinders at our company; a habit that bled into my personal life, so the rescue is more convenient for me

    What would be really great is if there was a mini version of the Response light enough for a backpacking / hiking oriented first aid kit. I have scoured the internet for miniature folding medical sheers and cannot find anything. The kind of thing one would use to efficiently cut bandages and sports tape when taping one's feet to prevent blisters. This is essential for winter camping (i.e. snow show walking and cross country skiing).

      They really don’t weight that much and I highly recommend them but if you really want lighter weight, a standard pair of trauma shears would fit in most small first aid kits. There are some that are extremely narrow.
      For your situation though the response would be perfect.

    hope a update ver release soon, chinese knock off everywhere nowadays

    • @devinbreeding5412
      @devinbreeding5412 3 місяці тому

      Simple answer to that is don’t buy cheap knockoffs. Not much to improve on as they are just about perfect.

      @@devinbreeding5412 sometimes is not about yourself. some shops or responders may not have the knowledge to identify the knockoff and worst would happen is to fail on scene in middle of nowhere

      If you’re in the field it is your responsibility to know your equipment. If someone in your hypothetical has equipment failure due to being cheap or unfamiliar, that is on the user.
