I don’t understand why some comments say that PC is the one who ends up paying. They probably are broke by now. So ur saying PC will pay the plaintiff the $2000, and then go after the defendant to pay PC the $2000, so what if she doesn’t pay, she surely doesn’t have the money, if she had the money she probably would’ve paid the bondsman in the first place.
People Court makes MILLIONS of dollars for their production company (who makes the show) and the t.v. network showing the program (Judge Milian herself is paid 5 Million Dollars A YEAR). Paying those tiny court fees is nothing to them. For example, that $2000 they will pay is like them paying one penny (PLUS they tax write it off as a "business expense"). They could pay that to every plaintiff and defendant every day and still come out MILLIONS ahead. Judge Judy is also paid MILLIONS of dollars also. They can VERY EASY afford this because these judge shows are very cheap to make. So no, will never go after anyone for any money. There is no need @@cosmo6180

What happened now? Her man was abusing her so brother beat him up? Brother went to jail, she bailed brother out BUT She went back to abusive man now brother said I’m not showing up, now YOU pay for your mistakes…guilty! 👩🏿⚖️
What if her brother is a drug addicted and started messing with her boyfriend, then they got into a fight and now he has so many drug warrants he's scared to face a judge. That's what I got from her.
In some states when you sign a bond for someone else you give permission for the bonding company to search for the individual in your home. So the judge is incorrect.
What did she think she was signing? Smh don't sign something if you don't understand how it works.... And she has the nerve to go back to her abusive husband after all that.... Smh
I learn more from tv shows than I did in school lol. Doug the bounty hunter a the people’s court have taught me about the law, than how many apples Susie had after she gave 3 away while the train was going 30 miles per hour 🤣
Definitely always read what ur signing. My mil signed for one of her sons. Her son skipped court now she is stuck still paying over 14000 dollars on top of them still looking for her son. The bondsman does have the right to search any premises listed on their application
So her husband pressed charges on her brother. She signs for a bond to get her brother out. Now she(and her husband who pressed charges) owes the bondsman since brother on the run 😅 That’s a full fledged circle 😂
I don't understand why people put themselves on the hook for bail. Sorry sis...you signed the contract and you can't now try to avoid responsibility. Don't bail out bro....which he will again ask.
Add to your list people put themselves on the hook for phone plans, thousands of dollars in personal loans to people they're not married to, giving people access to their credit card or debit card with pin#, again to people they're not married to, and then plaintiffs will be surprised when someone goes wrong!😮
5:20 the judge is woefully unprepared concerning bondsman law, as these bounty hunters are given wide statutory authority, within reason, to locate, effect entry, and apprehend the defendant of a delinquent bond. They cannot act with total impunity, but forcible entry is permitted under many circumstances.
Well technically this is the best case scenario.... He got his bond paid, she got the court to pay for it and the bondsman got his money.... Win win lol
Sorry but if my brother has three misdemeanors for domestic violence charges, I'm not bailing him out. Edit: WAIT it was violence against her spouse? Helllll no, he can sit in jail.
Er what? Absent something more, he doesn't have a right to search her house, just like he doesn't have right to search my house or your house. Now, if the contract gives him a right (e.g., she agrees in there that he can search her place) that's a different story. No such allegation was made. Alternatively, he could have a court warrant. Heck, even a cop can't force there way into your house to search without a warrant, unless they have some probable cause to believe a crime is currently being permitted (e.g., they see the guy running into your house).
@@newsflash7609 I googled it, and apparently the standard contract with a bail bondsman includes agreeing that they can enter and search your house without a warrant if the bonded-out person skips. Wow. I could never sign something like that.
@@newsflash7609Yes they can. If you sign the bond papers they can come to & in your house when they want to. They do have to let the local police know that they're coming though.
Bondsman= people who use legal mumbo jumbo and money to get someone out of jail until that person’s trial. Bounty hunter = someone tracks down someone who jumps bail and catch them to take them to jail and face their trial for a bounty that is put on the bail jumper. Co-signer = person that co-signs the bond and agrees to accept financial responsibility for paying the full bail bond amount if the person they are co-signing for runs and doesn’t show up for court. I thought most people would know that and that dog the bounty hunter is a bounty hunter not a bondsman. I mean it’s right in his title.
Whose to say he’s sober? He’s probably on his prescription suboxone, an opiate, but she doesn’t realize it because it doesn’t always impair people significantly.
Isn't it awesome to see that Milian treats a white blonde woman the same as all the dog whistles you keep spouting ? Almost like you are totally and utterly 100% always in the wrong huh ? I'd say it's something to reflect on but you'd need a working brain for that.
Crazy when your own sibling does you dirty. Her brother will surely need her again.
On this show if the plaintiff wins, the show pays the judgment, Hopefully she still learned a lesson about not posting bond.
Meh, I broke contact with my sister. Never needed her in 30 years.
Yup. Brother sounds like an entitled taker!
Gotta love when the families go with that tired old "he's just a good guy trying to change his life" excuse.
My family has always gone with"you do the crime, you do the time" .
Well family is all we got and can only hope the best for them. That is love. Something not all people have towards others.
YOU SIGNED THE BOND U GET UR BROTHER!!! PAY UP!!
Just got off bond. Glad I didn't screw over My Family by messing up and complying with the entirety of it. Trust is very important to Me and Mines. ❤💯
Lmao when the bailiff said please raise your right hand, she raised her left
Even If this is her first time using bail bond, she's an ADULT and should clearly know what COSIGNING means 😒

Facts that’s what I said he can search her house when and whatever time he wants
Not every state has the same laws and she didn't do anything about him wanting to search her house so what does it even matter? Didn't effect the case
