    • @cosmo6180
      @cosmo6180 9 місяців тому

      I don’t understand why some comments say that PC is the one who ends up paying. They probably are broke by now. So ur saying PC will pay the plaintiff the $2000, and then go after the defendant to pay PC the $2000, so what if she doesn’t pay, she surely doesn’t have the money, if she had the money she probably would’ve paid the bondsman in the first place.

    • @GeeBee909
      @GeeBee909 9 місяців тому

      People Court makes MILLIONS of dollars for their production company (who makes the show) and the t.v. network showing the program (Judge Milian herself is paid 5 Million Dollars A YEAR). Paying those tiny court fees is nothing to them. For example, that $2000 they will pay is like them paying one penny (PLUS they tax write it off as a "business expense"). They could pay that to every plaintiff and defendant every day and still come out MILLIONS ahead. Judge Judy is also paid MILLIONS of dollars also. They can VERY EASY afford this because these judge shows are very cheap to make. So no, will never go after anyone for any money. There is no need @@cosmo6180

    • @cindywilliams8188

      It literally states it in opening introduction of the show. They have agreed to drop their disputes in their local small claims court in their "municipality" & have cases settled in the PC "arbitration" Ppl ⚖️ has plenty of 💸 from multiple decades of paying sponsors advertisement aka commercials since it was nationally syndicated show
      for many years & now generates revenue from youtube.
      Litigants also recv'd an appearance fee + hotel lodging & accommodations. Mini vacation and free advertisement
      😂😅 @@cosmo6180

    • @GeeBee909
      @GeeBee909 8 місяців тому

      They make MILLIONS off this show and are definitely NOT broke, not even close. Judge Milian is paid 12 million dollars a year HERSELF. Think of it, there are no actors to pay and no scripts to write. This show will NEVER hurt for money and is a cash cow for the network. Those judgements they pay are like giving a penny candy to a baby, it means nothing to them @@cosmo6180

    5:20 the judge is woefully unprepared concerning bondsman law, as these bounty hunters are given wide statutory authority, within reason, to locate, effect entry, and apprehend the defendant of a delinquent bond. They cannot act with total impunity, but forcible entry is permitted under many circumstances.

Now, if the contract gives him a right (e.g., she agrees in there that he can search her place) that's a different story. No such allegation was made. Alternatively, he could have a court warrant. Heck, even a cop can't force there way into your house to search without a warrant, unless they have some probable cause to believe a crime is currently being permitted (e.g., they see the guy running into your house).

    Bondsman= people who use legal mumbo jumbo and money to get someone out of jail until that person’s trial.
    Bounty hunter = someone tracks down someone who jumps bail and catch them to take them to jail and face their trial for a bounty that is put on the bail jumper.
    Co-signer = person that co-signs the bond and agrees to accept financial responsibility for paying the full bail bond amount if the person they are co-signing for runs and doesn’t show up for court.
