  • We thought we would give you a tour of our finished van, that took us only 4 weeks to convert. Its only a very small van, an L1H1 Peugeot Boxer, but there's still enough in it to show you around!
    This DIY project was extremely rewarding and hopefully it inspires you to do your own self build campervan conversion!

    hi guys, loved watching your build videos which have given me so many ideas and loving the finished product! one question though - why did you remove the metal bulkhead partition to then replace it with timber panelling, couldn´t you have retained it and just cut out the window?

    I just finished a binge watch really enjoyed !!! Regarding your question about Patreon. Absolutely do one it’s been going on for hundreds of years for people like you to supply people like us with content that …Question when you got the ferry to Spain what made you decide to get the ferry rather than driving through France me and the Mrs are going to Spain hopefully Juneish time I’m not too sure what to do considering the price of diesel!!!
    Keep up the vlogs, thanks

    • @NickyandHarri
      @NickyandHarri  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much for your comment (and your hours of binge watching to catch up)! Definitely debating a patreon, but probably going to leave it until we’re just a bit bigger and can put more exclusive content out for people who are patreon members!
      We actually had no choice but to ferry to spain as we did it during the pandemic and France closed their boarders to UK residents! We had originally booked the Euro tunnel. Can imagine it’s difficult to work out what is more price efficient at the moment with diesel prices! Best of luck for your trip in June! 😁

    loving the conversion videos, inspired me to make one myself! I am looking at the same hob but how do you run it off camping gas? any links or advise would be amazing!

    • @NickyandHarri
      @NickyandHarri  2 роки тому

      That’s absolutely awesome, so glad we’ve inspired you to do one yourself! So, we’ve plumbed this hob in 3 times now, and it’s really easy (but not something we particularly like advising people on as it’s the scary bit). Make sure you have a washer or a seal of some kind (specific sealant tape for gas) on the nozzle under the hob, and then just get the pipe to connect her up. We always double check our hobs connection by asking some friendly people at Home Depot or Wickes, always gives us peace of mind! Sorry we can’t be of more help on this one 🙂

    Lovely build again, what made you downsize from the minibus. Do you think you will miss the extra space and headroom?

      Thanks so much, we ended up selling it when we got back from Europe! We’d definitely miss it (but we’re actually selling this one and jetting off to the USA to do another van)!

    Another lovely build, well done you two! Can I ask if you put anything into the recesses before you carpeted them? It would be very useful to know as we’re battling with this issue at the moment.
    We have a Vivaro LWB and we ply lined and carpeted the whole area and have no discovered that our bed is just inches too short. Taking the ply off those recessed areas would give us vital inches but are unsure about whether they would require insulation etc. kindly let us know as our build has come to a grinding halt until we can remedy this issue 😊

    • @NickyandHarri

      Thank you very much!
      Yes we used closed cell foam insulation. Its thin enough to keep that extra space needed but also works well to insulate. will quickly find the link and comment it for you! You’ll see in our week 2 video, at 7.35 minutes in, we are putting it on. Hope this helps! X

      @@NickyandHarri Brilliant! Thank you. We used that closed cell foam on the floor a ceiling to avoid losing any further headspace. Now we have the ripping out of the bed & ply carpeted sheets to look forward to, the joys of it all 😂😂

    How long is the bed? I was thinking of a murphy bed but the measurements ...I recommend a charging relay for cloudy days.

      So we’ve actually sold the van now (this was just to make some profit for our current USA trip)! But it was a full size double mattress in there, so was plenty big enough for 6 foot 2 me!

    Did you insulate the floor? I'm debating it ATM but you lose so much space in H1 but I don't wanna lose heat :(

    • @NickyandHarri
      @NickyandHarri  Рік тому +1

      We actually didn’t, we insulated the ceiling and walls, you really don’t lose much heat out of the floor (as heat rises).

    Awesome build guys, looks lovely, well done to you both.
    Can I say, have you looked in to those 3 breakers you have used. Just watched a video from urban van Life - they did various test on them well over their recommended ampage and they still didn't blow. They don't appear to be safe anymore.
