I can't see the rumoured 2 game ulitmatum by the board being a true ultimatum - no one expects we can win either, and the performances... so this must be a time saving tactic: Potter gets his team together, two unwinnable fixtures done and his first two fixtures are fulham and palace. It also sorts the window out - surely short term contract potter didn't dare ask for funds... Not that my choice is potter, but anyone right now who can coach, lead and encourage with some tactics that make sense...
Sullivan won’t sack Lopetegui unless we’ve been in the bottom three for more than a month . He feeds the ITKs with crap about sacking the head coach just to keep us hanging. He’s absolutely disgusting. The speculation is pointless. It’s going to be a torrid second half to this horrible season. What a write off.

Every month that passes by without sacking Lopetigui, is one less month Sullivan has to pay out some of Lopetigui's pay off. That's as far as the chairman can see in his vision of what motivates him. Not that the players are losing value due to being psychologically demotivated, not that prize money is being lost because of sliding down the league table and a lack of a cup run. No, because he doesn't want to pay off a manager and pay out for another manager. A businessman in trading retail items he may have been, but a businessman in running a football club, he is not.

Given how many quality scoring chances we have conceded to the worst teams in the ladder, I think the relegation risk is much higher than most realize. This was true even before the Bowen news, but I agree is even more relevant now. And if the board feels that both Lopetegui and Steidten need to be replaced, now would certainly be a good time to also consider/add Ashworth. By far the biggest risks to ending the season in the relegation zone are that (1) Sullivan waits until we actually hit zone to make a move, as there may not be enough time for improvement; and (2) Sullivan decides he alone is the gatekeeper in the January transfer window and picks up rubbish players.
I am happy with most interim managers, in fact anyone who will rid us of the head coach who is clearly well out of his depth. You are not going to get a decent manager at this time of the year. Wait until Summer then acquire the manager who we feel can take us to where we believe we should be.

I wonder if Loppy's pay off could be effected by his last 6 games prior to sacking. I.e. this counts as recent average performance, which would reduce the pay out.
@@HammersChat I don’t think Man Utd reflects on Ashworth. That’s the only club that’s a bigger dumpster fire than ours. Steidten may come good one day, but he has no track record yet and he won’t get the latitude to establish one at West Ham. Ashworth’s CV is successful apart from at MU, and no one is going to succeed there.
@ tbh I think Hojlund looks a good player and Loro looks fine so far and could go onto become a top CB. I’d argue Mazraoui has been one of their better performers, albeit a low bar.
IMO Potter will only ever be a good mid table manager with a small club where he isnt under pressure with aspirations for success. If he was a stand out top sixer type of manager, Forest Villa Liverpool & Manure would've looked at him or he'd have been given the England job. Sullivan likes him as he thinks he's another sleeping giant manager who's been disregarded.
I don’t think potter was that bad at Chelsea considering the madness he had to deal with, u could always see a set up n a plan! Potter is English n will get what we want! N what it means to play for us I believe, we always have done better under English n ex players compared to foreign ones
Allow me to throw out a name for your consideration. Ten Hag. Seeing how Amorim is performing, we know now that Ten Hag was not responsible for the clusteduck at Man U. He did win the FA cup last season, and I still consider him a world class manager, at least miles better than Potter.
I appreciate you putting this out there. I’d have him over Lopetegui, I liked him at Ajax and wanted him then but he was pretty crap at MUFC but still had them competing in the cups at least. Would be bold and could spectacularly backfire but I think there’s a possible reward to the gamble.
Fully agree now is the best time to get rid of Lopsided . Next two games are zero returns anyway so there is no reason to keep this ‘foot ‘coach dragging us down further . Every game that goes by Sullivan ticks off 60,000 quid saved . Idiot . Talk about Sullivan fiddles , while West Ham burns . Hopefully, 2025 will bring some clarity in the thinking of those on the board . Onward and upwards West Ham in 2025 with a new Head Coach .
I don’t know why Sullie would have thought Lopey is more accomplished than Potter. He managed the most talented team outside of the premier league in Real Madrid and managed to not have a winning record. He has to be the only manager in the 21st century to manage that. I’m not interested in Potter in the slightest, but I’ll happily take him over the dour and truly awful coach we have now.
Surely no to Potter, who only has one Top 10 finish(9th) and considering Brighton is now arguably better and having more success since he left. It would suggest that it was the system behind Potter and not Potter himself for Brighton's rise. Furthermore, given what Maresca has done at Chelsea, you can't even use the excuse that Potter failed because it was Chelsea that was a dysfunctional basket case. Instead, you got to acknowledge the coaching and bold decisions that Maresca made in pushing out the likes of Gallagher, Sterling, Calobah, and Silva. Potter would never have the guts to push out the young British core, he's too much of a Yes-man, and with Sully, that's a bad recipe. There's not enough evidence that he's a good coach, instead more evidence that it's Brighton's system - after a 31 year Hurzeler has seamlessly slotted in after De Zerbi's successful spell.
@HammersChat Graham Potter would be the absolute DEATH OF WEST HAM and quite frankly the final straw !!!!Potter would be an absolute insult!! I cannot think of a more overrated manager and a more demoralising appointment, i would personally petition and protest against his appointment !!
Potter is a backward step, I rate him as high as Allerdice for excitement, everyone drooling over his Brighton record must remember that he failed at Chelsea while Brighton are still up there which has more to do with their setup than the manager.
Changing managers is way more dangerous than you imply here. Swapping managers would give all those players that want to leave, the perfect excuse to down tools. At least currently, they bought into J Lo and have to see it through until the end of the season. Also, Bowen is easily worth 7-8 points this season. Without him, we have been relegation fodder.
As others have said there’s no point in changing coach now we should have done it immediately after the Prague win. The dwarf sold rice but kept moyes imagine if we had changed moyes for a dynamic European coach rice might have stayed. I still think we could be involved in the relegation battle this year. The holes are all lined up, Antonio, Bowen, out. Paq man useless. Aging squad. Coach that cannot communicate. Plus the 3 promoted clubs playing better than us. Mark my words it will be close.
Potter wouldn't be my choice but I'd take him right now. We all know Sullivan won't act though. He will look at the table and see that there are far worse teams than us. What an ambitious owner he is 😑😑
Geo you're right with the Bowen news I think like you lop needs going now I saw you're video with Gonzo about Bowen I think if we don't sack lop we could well be fighting relegation. Which I thought we was in a relegation fight with Bowen.
After that pitch from Geo id rather shave me bollox than have my new years eve ruined by west Ham ! At least the jacobs will be happy even if the rest of me aint
If all we are gonna do is bring in potter then we have gone basically nowhere this wĥole time Typical west ham. We coulda just brought potter after moyes and yes there was a time period that woulda happened but we didnt then waited a long time and did NOT bring in a stellar long term modern manager. We are just walking in circles. Lame horse
I'm not sure why loppy wanted another job in the uk after the wolves debacle. He obviously really struggles understanding the english language and he has zero connection with the fans🙄🙄🙄🙄
I think Potter is the better manager of the two, but i feel we need a real charasmatic leader to come in to gavanize this team. It aint going to happen, but i would personally loved it if we could chucked money at mourinho for half a season to fix things.
Potter is the emergency plan, sully will hang on till summer maybe by then amorim, postcoglu will be available and sully will still get it wrong n bring in another dour defensive manager
That’s just the thing though isn’t it, is he THE number 1 target for Sullivan? As if he was, why only a 6 month contract? It hardly screams Sullivan has much confidence in Potter. I personally think Sullivan is waiting for someone like Ange or Rodgers to become available at the end of the season.
TIM HAS as much idea about what Loppy wants as the fans do. I don’t know what type of football Loppy plays. Sullivan should not make any decisions because he has no idea about how football should be played ⚒⚒⚒
I realise you done this video before the bad news without bowen it could be a terrible time to come in,it's completely reasonable to suggest we are about to go on a shocking run whoever our manager might be without jarrod so it's hardly a great start if potter was to arrive so I think we are stuck till the summer now
Do you reckon by some strange deal that sullivan wrote into contract that can let him go for free or reduced if you are a certain place and out of both cups ? Hence why we are limping to tge villa game ? And also hardly likely to leak that info as its a bit bloody harsh and would identify the dwarf as a tight arse he is
I'd keep lopi until the end of the season and buyout either Brentford's or Bournemouth's manager and spend big if necessary to buy them out. I don't think Potter is the answer and it will prolong the feeling of we want something more exciting.
Sullivan won't sack Lopetagui because it will be an admission he made a cock up signing him. He also doesn't make decisions that benefit the club so buckle up for another 5 months of useless football at least!
Not a chance of changing manager. This lot will limp on despite the fans having enough of the crap we have to put up with. They dont care about us and the only thing they care about is money. Had enough after 55 years of following this club. This lot are killing everything good about west ham.
They would cost More money on top of paying off loppy. Potter is a good coach imo but he needs a good director of football and backroom like he had at Brighton good choice imo yes there's better but not available immediately. He couldn't do any worse and the football would be much better to watch 👍
@@modernista6056 Why should Loppy get a pay out , he hasn't been able to do the job he was paid to do , never understood this . Was Potter really a good manager ? , afterall he only had a 32% winrate there at Brighton . The present manger their is actually doing better 37% as did De Zerbi 43% .
@clayton8944 I feel like people forget what Brighton were before Potter came. They are a small club and basically just another Burnley. Negative football, close to relegation mostly. De Zerbi and their current manager have done well but Potter started it off. He changed their style completely and at least made a platform for them going forward. He might not be the best manager in the world but I'd happily take him over the fraud we have now and several other managers.

I wonder if Loppy's pay off could be effected by his last 6 games prior to sacking. I.e. this counts as recent average performance, which would reduce the pay out.
Frighteningly common sense comment
Not even sure Loppy knows what he is trying to do from what I have seen of his selections/tactics .
I’d take Ashworth over Steidten every day of the week. Every day, all day.
I think they’re different but that’s a whole debate which I can’t do over text format 😂
@@HammersChat fully agree. Let’s get him in. Plus, he’s worked under some psychotic club owners, so he can deal with that.
We should have signed Graham Potter in the summer. I think he will do ok.
Lopetegui isn't wanted by the fans or by the players by the look of it. New year and a new start is needed.
Well from what i hear, potters wife is best mates with Bradey so this will happen, just a matter when and not if
Fully agree now is the best time to get rid of Lopsided . Next two games are zero returns anyway so there is no reason to keep
this ‘foot ‘coach dragging us down further .
Geo, you should be very careful otherwise if sullivan listens to this you will be the next sporting manager.
From a Newcastle fan he would do a fantastic job for you just look at the job he did at Brighton
The F would you know? Your manager couldn't even beat us and we're the worst team in the league! And you all think he's good! Potter is a muppet.
@ Liverpool failed to beat us
True but look at the resources that was available to him at Brighton. He won't have the same luxuries here at West Ham.
I think he’d do okay, am not convinced by him at all but for some reason I am kinda intrigued.
Come on you iron’s get it right,Happy new year to all you footie fans 🎉
I really don’t want potter, I’ll admit to a personal agenda against him.
Potterball , is he any good at Snooker?
There is never an imperfect time to sack Loppy, needs to go ASAP
Brian clough mansfield manger would be good for us
Potter wouldn't be my choice but I'd take him right now.
If all we are gonna do is bring in potter then we have gone basically nowhere this wĥole time
Typical west ham.
He did OK at wolves
I think Potter is the better manager of the two, but i feel we need a real charasmatic leader to come in to gavanize this team. It aint going to happen, but i would personally loved it if we could chucked money at mourinho for half a season to fix things.
Loppy isn't going anywhere till we drop into bottom 3.Then they'll panic and blame fans
I think gp would be a good fit for us. he deserves a bit more credit as the team he took over from Chris Houghton was pretty poor
I don't have any enthusiasm for Potter at all. Just seems like a really dull neutral option.
Then again, I was optimistic about Grant and Lopetegui.
Pep ball ange ball potter Baal what a load of ball 😂😂 morning Geo happy new year 🥳
Sully waiting to see if Spuds sack Ange.
Sullivan wouldn't go anywhere near him.
Couldn’t see Sullivan employing him even if he worked for free, think he’d give sully a heart attack
TIM HAS as much idea about what Loppy wants as the fans do. I don’t know what type of football Loppy plays. Sullivan should not make any decisions because he has no idea about how football should be played ⚒⚒⚒
Sack him, then sack Potter, then let's get a good one in.
You know the rules, if we get smashed next two he’s sacked but if we only lose 0-5 and 0-5 we kick the can down the road
Lopetegui won't be sacked. He is going to be here until the summer
]Potter ! Your having a laugh😂😂😂😂
I realise you done this video before the bad news
without bowen it could be a terrible time to come in,it's completely reasonable to suggest we are about to go on a shocking run whoever our manager might be without jarrod so it's hardly a great start if potter was to arrive so I think we are stuck till the summer now
Dont want potter but hes (probably) better than "the experimentor" loppy
This hire 'em, fire 'em routine is killing the game - if it's not already dead. All in the plan I suppose.
Lopetegui cannot be understood at a press conference how does he go in the dressing room?
Do you reckon by some strange deal that sullivan wrote into contract that can let him go for free or reduced if you are a certain place and out of both cups ? Hence why we are limping to tge villa game ? And also hardly likely to leak that info as its a bit bloody harsh and would identify the dwarf as a tight arse he is
I'd keep lopi until the end of the season and buyout either Brentford's or Bournemouth's manager and spend big if necessary to buy them out.
I don't think Potter is the answer and it will prolong the feeling of we want something more exciting.
Show some ambition bring in someone like thomas frank still looking at cheap options over quality
I think you might mean Will Still.
He's staying until the summer according to ssn
That will change if we boycott the ground.
@@hi-tech55when you've already paid? Nice plan!
Desperate unnecessary appointment, he won't take us to the promised land
Give 2025 a new manger
If tim knows how floppy-tegi likes to play, then his in a very small club! 😂
Sullivan won't sack Lopetagui because it will be an admission he made a cock up signing him. He also doesn't make decisions that benefit the club so buckle up for another 5 months of useless football at least!
POTTER IN
Not a chance of changing manager. This lot will limp on despite the fans having enough of the crap we have to put up with. They dont care about us and the only thing they care about is money. Had enough after 55 years of following this club. This lot are killing everything good about west ham.
Perfect time to bring paulo fonseca in imo
Sullivan don’t know the meaning of perfect timing
Well I hope it's not Potter , would prefer it to be either Abel Ferreira of Palmeiras or maybe Michel of Girona .
Unpopular view perhaps but I think Potter did better for Brighton than Hurzeler has, so far.
Ferreira is a manager that excites me which means Sullivan won't even think about appointing him.
Anyone for Rafa as interim coach?
The story of Will Smith: Started at West Philidelphia, later transferred to Bell Air
Yeah but I bet he never transferred to Bell End?
@TeddySalad Yeah, that happened at the Academy Awards.
