Title fixed. Also... FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The good ol' days, buying a 7800 at The Federated Group. Shadow Stevens would get you a game for free. The other kids would play on Skip Its and Pogo Balls at the Time -Out Tunnels while Max Headroom reminded you V was on at 8 o'clock, Pacific, Central and Mountain on NBC. On the way home, Straw Hat Pizza.
Hope you're hanging in there, Mark. Sounds like things have been rough. We're all glad you're back buddy.
MorganNye doesn’t allow anyone to use the word First. 🥇
That applies to everybody, including misguided Atari Fanboys. 🕹️
@@MaestroDrakeV the series is amazing.
Im so happy Mark is back! I'm going through a stressful time right now, and I use his videos to relax. I wish there was a donation button. 😢
A day without a Classic Game Room video is like a night without sleep, and a day without beer and Total Recall!
I can't believe you killed 3 enemies with one rock. You got mad skills Mark!
you are by far the best reviewer on UA-cam, great to have you back :)
I loved the 7800. It had some of the best ports of that generation.
What's great about the future is access to Internet and watching your awesome videos. Thank you Mark 👍
Thank you for the video, brought back so many memories. On my way to grab a beer and play Dig Dug on 2600.
Love your stories Mark! Keep it up!
Love you Mark! Love to see you're doing good.
15:40 That really was an epic bit of maneuvering, Mark. I thought for sure you were completely FUBAR.
I loved this game! Long time Sub, thanks for all of your content.
DIG DUG!! one of my favorite arcade games! On the greatest console of all time!
I agree. Dig Dug and Mrs Pacman are both two of my favorite games of all time! I Loved the 7800 versions as a kid and as an adult today. 7800 is my favorite 3rd generation console.
The 7800 is the best 8-bit system and I'll never apologize for saying so.
Agreed! I have 2 of em!
No, Turbo Grafix 16 is
@@GeorgeSerinos They are both great!
@@KrunchyTheClown78 I challenge you to a live game V game stream off your 7800 VS my TB16. You don’t have the balls Mr. forever564
Loved the story about back in the day... And some dig dug!
That last move was impressive Mark.
My wife was an Atari kid. I was the weirdo with Intellivision.
We had both including the Coleco! I had the most fun on the Coleco. Graphics and sound were so much better.
I'm on a mission
I'm on a quest now
I have to find my
Intellivision
I can't just stand here
with indecision
I have to find my Intellivision
"Intellivision lives" is a weird game
Thank you for this video Mark! I loved your commentary which made me laugh out loud, and your stories!
I was a 7800 kid, too. I don't think I had Dig Dug on the 7800. Mostly because I know my family had the C64 version. Which was probably good enough that I didn't bother also getting in for the 7800.
I do remember getting my 7800 on Christmas 1987 with Ball Blazer.
Did not know until late in life that the further down you dig and then kill enemies the more point they are worth. Love Dig Dug.
? is that a real thing?
My very first game console, even before the NES. I distinctly remember Desert Falcon and Crossbow.
These are the videos we will miss. R.I.P Classic Game Room
I have very fond memories playing this game back in the mid 80s on my 7800.
Cracking good gameplay on your part!!
Mark: What are things that are actually better in the future? 14:53
Better thing: ClassicGameRoom uploading videos for viewers in 2023 from 2085 compared to anything else on the internet, past or present.
That’s actually the best thing at the moment.
lol great video! I'm really glad you're back buddy!🙂
The Atari 7800 gets not enough love, it was a cool system and lots of those games are gems
I do love when you go back to the video game content!
I’ve been waiting for this one wooooo
Wait 2600 or 7800?
Nothing is great about the future! All hail the 1980s! 🙌🏻🕹
Dig Dug is a solid classic 👍
Just like Mark I still have my actual Atari 2600 Jr. and it works perfectly without any effort. I've read somewhere the Jr. console was poorer quality a d cheaply made but I never had a problem with mine in 40 years👍🙂
OH SHI* IM SO HAPPY YOURE BACK
You're the best!
I love the Atari 7800👍 It's my next bucket-list console after I get a few more Genesis games I've wanted before everything gets even more expensive
Would love long videos like this with GT7
sweet
Dig dug rules!
I was the same, my first console was the 2600JR. So for me i like the 2600JR design the most
Can’t wait for my 2600+
i love my A7800 Pal system as well. Strange iam all C= C64 and Amiga guy. The 7800 has something amazing really love the new homebrew on it Riki Viki, 1942 and Popeye. Its a system what deserves more cool stuff! Sadly it came out time when Atari was sold and it had to wait too much its time in spotlighs :(
Yes sir thanks vmark
15:43 Pro Dig Dug move.
It's sad to hear Mark rag on the future, something he was once optimistic about. But he's not wrong, shit's pretty fucked right now. Hopefully things pick back up in the TWENTY 80s
Ya te extrabamos. Uno de los mejores.
Dig Doug flamethrower edition would sell...Get on that Namco!!
The 7800 was great for replicating the arcade experience, while the NES was good at creating new gaming franchises.
Yes, I was a catalog kid too...
The 90s brought us Clutch, and they're still droppin the good stuff. Ummmmm.... SOME motorcycles now are pretty great? ...No they peaked in the 80s with Akira. Streets of Rage 4. That game is pretty great! Oh and Classic Game Room is still droppin eps-
Why did Dig Dug never get a movie? Imagine actually exploding creatures with bicycle pumps... Could be even more hardcore than Doom
If it counts atari has a sound effect later years
Can shoot through alittle bit of ground left
I love the 7800! Just a bummer its stuck with the 2600 sound chip, so it doesn't sound as good as it should. But still, it makes you a Professional, so I can forgive it.
Don't have Dig Dug for 7800, but I do for 2600 and 5200. Gotta try the 5200 version again.
The future does have EDF!
👍👍👍👍🕹🕹
We have VR in the future! So when can escape the future! In the comfort of our own living rooms!
That's a lot of dugging
What if the character you play as in Dig Dug... was named Doug?
Check your video title, Mark. That's not the 2600 version.
Wait didn't he review this already? Like, 15 years ago?
Psycho Dig Dug
If you thought this game had terrible music...
Donkey Kong 7800: Hold My Beer.
this video is super blurry but from what i can tell this looks better but sounds worse than the nes version wtf. also why did they release a version of Namco museum with nes roms?
You are the COOLEST hipster
3:06
Why is the title "Dig Dug for Atari 2600" when you're playing on 7800?
17 minutes of Dig Dug on Atari 7800? Where's the rest of the review?!
Future Mark is jealous of Mark.. checkmate future
i never liked atari's consoles. lynx was ok, but epyx made that. i liked atari arcade games, however. sorry bro, but... metroid stomps all over dig dug. but at least u had interest in the basics back then. dig dug and robotron and galaga and pacman and donkey kong, etc etc. i played those, too, but prefered the arcade versions back then. i didnt get excited for home consoles until the NES to be honest. yep.. super mario lol. but that wasnt the first nes game i played! i think it was ice climber or rygar or ghosts n goblins. it was hard not to be impressed. i call the sears catalog the "dream weaver" lol. because those that didnt grow up with those catalogs have no idea what they missed. grandma, circa 1982: "circle want u want in the catalog for christmas!" me, circa 1982: (circles everything). grandma: "i couldnt decide what to get u.. so... here's socks"
Look what video I was recommended to watch and from what channel. I thought Classic Game Room HD absolutely hated reviewing classic games, systems and everything else that wasn't comic book related.
Mark, please never stop attempting to insert cartridges into the wrong consoles, it's not stopped being funny.
Mark aint wrong nintendo does suck
what's better about the future is that the Kingdom of God is at hand... more imminent than it's ever been. And NOTHING... not even the 80's... yes, not even Mr. T. hurling someone through a plate glass window... can compare to it. it is the pearl of great price... but only for those who repent. And therein lies the problem for most people: that Jesus Christ is eternal life in eternal glory and splendor... and yet everyone hates Him.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life..... And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." ~ john 3:16,19-20
