- Black Marble is one of the latest and greatest additions to the Brooklyn synthwave lexicon, and Weight Against the Door is their debut release, which manages to be bleak, punk, electronic, and uplifting all at once. "Pretender" is the first single from the EP, available digitally and on limited 12" vinyl out now on Hardly Art.

This plus the Cure - A Forest is absolutely heavenly to listen to together

Just my take on the heavy trilogy of increasingly gothic, nihilistic, and depressive works by the Cure; Pornography (1982) is their best album, Faith (1981) has some brilliant moments and a brilliant theme, and Seventeen Seconds (1980) is excellent for a comparatively lighter mood.

the music sounds like a sped up version of THE CURE - A FOREST
Its because of the guitar effect, and the first three chords are the same. Besides, this band seems heavily influenced by the cure as far goes their 80s style.

A lot of music sounds like the cure, there's nothing wrong with that. They were very influential apparently.
Mojo-Music There is no guitar in this song. And I think what OP meant to say was that the bass line is almost the exact same as in A Forest, just a lot faster.
