I assume the reason why the release of this is so slow is the same reason why GPT-4 and ChatGPT with GPT-4 have the restrictions they have: capacity. I assume after more hardware and optimizations are added for GPT-4, this will finally be released
Just got access to the Chat! I found that the response is super fast and has a lower quality (correctness, reasoning) compared to GPT4 for me. I remember you guys mentioned it is powered by GPT4, right? That's weird. Also, it will be amazing if it can have several files or the entire project as context with a click of a button or something
This, we should have it take several files as context instead of just 1 file. It could then be able to help how different modules are interacting with each other.

She forgot to copy over on top of her original import statement, co-pilot didn't generate that import statement twice... Sometimes I make the same mistake... 🙃
It is not only the chatting, I think the thing is this uses GPT4 instead of 3.5 or something, I am using copilot labs' custom brush to prompt it with a task. It fails miserably more than 50% of the time. I find myself not using it for serious programming tasks.

When I use Copilot, I am using the Windows system. When I type "w" in a file in VSCode, it triggers the input box for Chat. It's quite bothersome because Copilot and Copilot Chat must be installed together. If I uninstall Chat, Copilot will also be uninstalled. This issue has been troubling me.
Just used it to write unit tests for a file. 7 failed and only 2 passed. I wish it could read the errors from my terminal and use that as an input to fix the code

You guys need to turn on your price tag for that. Compared to the “original” it’s not that impressive, and: the original you can ask anything about everything. And it should be included in my GitHub Pro Subscription, remember? The subscription which is there to give me all the new things. To charge extra for GitHub Copilot meh nope. If you want to offer it besides the Pro Subscription okay, but that there is no inclusion of the Pro Subscribers is weird. So, why should I make another subscription if you treat your already subscribers like that?

if you ask it what version of gpt it's based on, it says it's based on gpt 3, and it doesn't seem to know gpt 4 even exists

It says "The GitHub Copilot chat private beta is already enabled on your account!" but I don't see the chat feature anywhere in VS Code
