I bought my daughter this bike for Christmas she absolutely loves it for gravel riding and has no problem hanging on the group rides with more expensive bikes great bang for the buck
My nephew bought this bike for his wife. I test drove it and found it easy and light going up the hills. But going downhill, I tend to free wheel or spin out as I ran out of gears. And it's evident on my Strava results. I got PR on uphill segments but average speed dropped. Over all, excellent bike for specially if you're a heavy rider or like to do bike camping/touring.
The benefit to mechanical brakes is simplicity. Stretch a cable, no problem. Just take up the slack. Break a cable, no problem. Just replace the cable. Cables are easy to carry a spare or if you’re nowhere near a bike shop you can cobble one together at pretty much any hardware or parts store.

Clean and simple bike that does not break the bank. Wanting one now 😃
Can you review the Fuji jeri 2.5 ?
Good looking bike. Clean and simple.
What are the handlebars you are using?
Gravel playlist is a must right now
Totally, good idea 💡
Looks like a big bike!
Indeed it is, XXL
I really need a fuji sponsor
Not sure if Id dig the mechanic brakes. 1.1 model has hydraulic I think. Getting expensive though for a basic bike.
Hardly "basic"

Great review. Everything to the point. No waffle. Good job. Bike looks good too … might just get one. :)
23.36lbs is legit
Howmuch?
$2199
Nice review....the Fuji brand seems to really be a force with Gravel / Adventure bikes.
Totally agree
so where do you do longer gravel rides in New England?
Tons of places. Western MA in the Berkshires is great. Vermont has incredible roads. Southern MA/Northern CT have great roads too
Hey James.. Could you review the Jari 2.1 2022
If one comes available, Yes!
Thank you so much. Can you advise if the Jari 1.1 can support racks and panniers on front and back.. and is this bike fit for touring
Thanks. 700x45mm max is not what I call adventure ready. The Poseidon Redwood rocks 700x2.8 in contrast. I call THAT adventure ready :-)
At what point do you just buy a mountain bike though?
Hi James.
I'm looking at buying a 2021 Trek Top Fuel 9.8. Just wondering if you did a review?
Not yet. One day I hope
👍👌
very basic.
Kk
I don't ride road bikes cuz is always breaks my balls when I put my feet down.
Lol wrong size bike then?
