Hate the fact that Toyota moved the limited badge from the side pillar to the bottom of the front doors similar to the way they did it with the 4th gen’s. While the 5th gen had it just like the 3rd gen’s & other Toyota trucks on the side pillar giving it a more heritage look
@Toyota - We only wanted 1 grill, fix the front. - On the TRD models … the rock sliders / rails are attached to the body ….. not the frame. So they are USELESS. Fix it. - The engine…… where to start. The V6 was FINE, it just needed the 8 Speed. - Lastly…. WHY IS THE 5th GEN BUILT BETTER THAN THE 6th GEN. 🤷🏼♂️
I had a 1998 4Runner as a teenager, then got a 2019 as my mom car and can’t wait to upgrade to one of these. My only requests are a power rear door and more air vents for back passengers, my rear-facing children could use better circulation back there. Are captain seats an option on the new model?
Does this thing have automatic start? My 2021 SR5 Premium does not. That’s my only complaint with the vehicle. Otherwise I love it. Now as far as the 4-cylinder with the wires all over it, we’ll have to see how it holds up.

It would be awesome if Toyota released a 2dr version with removable back like the one in the picture. Some of my favorite childhood memories were offroading with my family in our 87 4Runner with the back removed.
I've owned 3 4runners in 20 years of driving since 18. I think the 4 cylinder just isn't a good choice for such a large truck. Not to mention the turbo gets hotter and needs more frequent oil changes. My Mazda turbo CX sounds more manly than this. Toyota "quality" doesn't exist anymore. My former CHR with blown transmission at 60k and a 20 Rav4 with a leaky sunroof is proof Toyota no longer cares about quality.

If you could get rid of that Garbage 4 cylinder and introduce V6 back. It will add icing on the cake for the 4Runner.
That would be nice.
