To so many people, just finishing would be amazing and would probably be emotional. But when you spend so much time working toward getting better, but the outcome is worse, it's like a knife in your back. And if you have an injury, you know it's probably going to be another 3-6 months of dedicated work to get back to the fitness you were during your best Marathon, and you never know that next one could go better than your best, or worse than your worst. I loved it. More talented runners and filmmakers are documenting their journeys. The marathon is such a hard distance, and it demands so much respect.
Running truly is a wild ride, and sometimes a single run can take you through all of life's emotions. You're a true inspiration for how resilient a runner can be. Can't wait to see you run next time!
Sweet video, Joe! Your work hits right every time. Loved seeing that finish line footage of us at 16:25. Meant a lot to have someone who was also disappointed in their 2nd half to suffer with during those immediate post-race moments. Now go get it at Boston brotha!!🔥
Wow, that was very melancholic. Not quite the 'hype video' I was expecting. Unlucky Joe - You'll no doubt hit that PR soon. Looking forward to following the journey.
Loved it. I had a similar experience (with different pace and time 😂).. but I’m so grateful too. Hope to See you in Chicago in October! Good luck for Boston 🔥
There was a typo in the first upload, So I had to delete and re-upload. Sorry for that yall! I hope you enjoy xo
The story-telling, the vibes, just so easy and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing this with us, Joe!
