A litre of water for 50km? Does he stop to top up out on the trails?

Thanks for your comment. Of course drinking plenty of water out on the trails is an essential but it also depends on what one is used to. Athletes such as Hannes are usually out there with very lightweight and minimalistic equipment. The equipment he describes in the video reflects what he usually takes on a training run that can also include quite some kilometers as described but of course also and ultimately might vary depending on the final distance, intensity etc.! All the best from your Dynafit team!

Hydrating well in the days before is key in order to be able to only drink what you sweat out. If you drink too much you need to stop to pee or compromise on performance because it's too uncomfortable to run with a full bladder. I've been doing my 50k runs with 1,5 liters and didn't empty it all the way.
