you all probably dont care but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Benjamin Jaxxon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Ive just watched all 3 parts, fantastic stuff, i loved the Ginger Rogers bit, as any young red blooded male would!! Thanks kermit and Segei for all you do in saving history,
Great presentation about a great figure in aviation; Sergei Sikorsky was there through such important times. I liked his humble demeanor. Looking forward to to you giving him a ride in the Bf 108!
You made and old man young in front of our eyes Wow. See his face when he saw that 108. Please take him out as you promised he'd have so much to say in front of the fit for flight plane and would make for priceless viewing.
Thank you for posting this video of Sergei Sikorski. His stories and your explanations intermesh very nicely. I never thought he would be so fond of the Bf-108. Very interesting to get a glimpse into his past. It would be nice to see videos of other legends of aviation too.
YOU KNOW thats a great idea !! Maybe Kermit can find other heroes of the past that are alive and invite them down for a personal tour??? I'm sure they would love it ! I would !
The man seems to have a perfect memory, these videos should go on forever !! please someone get him to record or write his memoires and by all means please take your time !!! Also guys try to get that Taifun ready ASAP (though im so enjoying the detailed videos on that as well) and bring mr. Sikorsky back as promised. I want to see these two gents flying in a Taifun together... 🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫
Thank you Kermit! This was so interesting to hear the guy who was there tell us the inside stories and first hand accounts of the history of a great American company like Sikorsky. Only in American, can smart hard working Russian imigrants with a dream and a chicken farm create world class aircraft and helicopters company, that have saved millions of lives over the years! Kermit, thank you for your love of history and getting this interview before these great guys have passed. Please keep doing these in person interviews where you let the guest speak and you give them all the time they need to remember historic facts that would soon be forgotten if they were not caught on film for us to see.👍👍. If I may suggest, can you get General Mike Collins, and any of the old timers from ww2 and Korea and even Vietnam area Aircraft manufacturing on to give their insites into there experiences in the manufacture and flight of our great American Aviation history? The Mechanics and designers and fabricators have some interesting stories too. Again, thanks for your possitive attitudes and appreciation of Aviation history. We must never forget who we were as a nation so that our great " Can Do Sprit" carries on to the next generation. We need it! You and your crew are leaving a great leggecy Kermit! 👍👍
One of my prized possessions is my Sikorsky (HH-52) Rescue Award and tie tack from my US Coast Guard aviation days. I’m grateful to Kermit for this interview and the Sikorsky family of employees who gave me the tools to save several lives. Igor was truly an aviation pioneer!
I wish I could work at FOF one day. I remember going there when I was younger. There's a magic about the place that captivates me every time. I got laid off Mr. Weeks if you got room for a FL native and an A&P.
AWESOME VIDEO KERMIT !! I'm so glad you promised to take him for a flight in that plane when you finish it , HE really liked that you offered !! I think you really did something special for Mr. Sikorsky , by doing that tour !! HE is such a nice guy because he has never played up the "IM THE SON OF "" sort of thing , he's always just told about his relationship with his dad and things he experienced personally !! GREAT JOB KERMIT .
That’s was a wonderful presentation. Thank you Kermit for what you do to keep the history of aviation alive and passing it on to younger generations. Bless you.
WOW! The knowledge on both sides of the conversations was a joy to behold. Great history lesson! Thank you for sharing and Thank you for preserving all the great aircraft. I visited FOF ver 1, I loved the B-17 walk through. I'm looking forward to ver 3....I hope to meet you one day...I had an aunt who worked at Glen L Martin during WWII. I believe she worked on covering the B-26. Thank you again for making this historic video David Twyford (Tampa, FL)
Kermit. I gotta say that of ALL the Video's you have produced, this 3 part series with Sikorsky is the best of all of them. The History you two talked about was Fantastic. This is what needs to be preserved for future generations. What a thrill it must be for you to talk to such a Legend with such a Vast Knowledge of Aviation. I would love to see this in a book form with the stories and pictures. Please, please, please keep doing what you are doing by keeping the Memories and Legends alive. The Love for Aviation you two personified was a treasure to behold. Thank You for preserving this visit and for sharing it with all of us viewers.
How cool is it to have an aviation pioneer come to your shops and give you and us his stories of his experiences with your aircraft. It brings the old birds to life. He flew and enjoyed these birds when they were cutting edge in aviation. It makes them more then just things sitting in a hanger on display. In San Diego my wife and I spent an entire day on the MIDWAY, One of the most interesting things about the ship were the stories told by pilots who had been stationed on her It made the ship more then a huge pile of steel. She was a living breathing old lady, full of people who loved her and had served on her. I was in the Army and you know I never felt that way about two and a half ton trucks.
@@KermitWeeks444 Oh hell yeah. I am almost giddy when you post a new video. I loved watching him lay hands on aircraft including the old Sikorskys. You could almost see him remembering the factory floor where they were built. I was hired to recover a Semi truck in 2011 that was abandoned just across the highway parked by the BBQ place that i don't think is there any more. One of my biggest regrets is I didn't come over and visit at the time. Been toying with the idea of moving down south and finding a Sailboat. Would love to come work for ya if ya ever need a Building maintenance HAVC/R guy ;)
What a great and historic meeting and discussion. Enjoyed each video very much. Sergei was sure impressed with the Bf-108! He loves that airplane and rightly so. Lots of good stories and memories you tickled out of him..he was obviously comfortable with you and enjoyed your company as well. Thank you again for all you do to preserve aviation history in a most extraordinary and optimal way!
Really enjoyed your 3 films with Sergei Sikorsky and looking forward to seeing you and Sergei one day flying your Bf-108 together. You'll have to give him first refusal should you ever sell the Messerschmitt!

Wow, what an awesome interview, brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job on the production quality and saving this priceless snippet of aviation history for future generations to learn from and enjoy!
Really a pleasure to see this interview - In about 5 years , when i hopefully reach his age, I hope can still climb the checkstand - AD2 -USN VR-7 & VF-191 - Connires and Furys 1953
Wow, what a cool ass video, thanks Kermit/FOF. I never say "this was my favorite video ever", but I kind'a think it was. Which is surprising because there wasn't any flying or 'down & dirty' resto techniques. Thanks
Amazing men, him and his dad and Kermit brought the stories out that otherwise we might never heard. Would have been a shame to have missed them. I wonder what they talked about at lunch?
Actually, the other film crew shot their interview with Sergei all morning, then we broke for lunch. A lot of the stories and things we talked about at lunch wound up in the Parts 1, 2, and 3, that we shot in the afternoon. So, you pretty much got the best of the lunch conversation.
Kermit, great job ! I was riveted to the screen, watching you talk to a living piece of aviation history! Sparked a lot of new things I want to research.
Kermit, what an awesome story , from someone who lived and breathed it from birth. You've knack for finding these gems, or maybe they find you- I hope you keep doing these sort of personal interviews- it's so easy to lose them behind the mask of the two World Wars fought while they developed. Thanks, Fly High, and Find Another One!
Isn’t it amazing.. that we are able to listen to this man who bridges aero history.. who was actually there! Fascinating..
Men like this, I wish, could live forever.
YES !! AND what Kermit did by making these videos ,is sort of like that !
They're a national treasure and, unfortunately mortal.
Thank you Kermit. So many people think their stories don’t matter. This is proof positive that they do. Namsté.
