However, our son is getting married in June and I needed to get back in the makeup game! So your videos have been so important to me in choosing products, because I'm clueless, lol! Totally agree that setting spray such an underrated step in makeup! It gives life back to my face and the payoff of a good one can be seen and felt when you're exhausted at the end of a bad day and peek in the mirror to see that your look is still as gorgeous when you put it on~ I was one of the people who voted for the Milani one (I personally love the Mac one more but my wallet disagrees XD)

I took my Colour Pop primer bottle **which I actually purchased after watching you review it on one your videos💗 and refilled it with my skin essence! Because everyone's right, the spray on that bottle is immaculate!

Totally agree with the CT setting spray as the top #1. I started using this after the Elf got down to an inch left and I love it. Everything about it is what I love.

@@mimiealoyah2084 Elf is definitely cheaper and I really liked it but the CT mist is much finer. The smell is very pleasant and it doesn't leave a sticky residue. I feel the fine mist sprays evenly across my skin.

Tati once mentioned she likes to use setting spray over her foundation before powders, so I've tried it. I didn't press it in, but Tati uses a blow dryer to "melt" it all together so I tried that AND OMG it does make a big difference and prevent my foundation from splitting and coming off during work. I do this always now, it's a big game changer for me!

hong kong’s summers are ridiculously hot and humid (and we’re still wearing masks!), and i have very oily skin, but it kept my makeup in place for a full day in the 35c degree heat, didn’t break me out or cause irritation either!

How did I know Charlotte Tilbury would be #1 😂 I've been slacking on my setting spray because I'm usually out of time but this makes me want to be consistent on it! After maternity leave would you consider doing an episode for nail polish?
My faves are Mac, Urban decay and the Milk setting sprays. I rotate with these products. I do have dry and sensitive skin. ❤

The Milani Make It Last comes in large sized bottles at Wal Mart, and I've never seen it in that size anywhere else, and I always look.

Elf Setting Spray tip: At first the spray is a fine mist but then it tends to spritz out and that's because the nozzle gets a little clogged. Run that under hot water, clean it off and wallah, works like new.

The charlotte tilbury setting spray didn’t handle my workout and ruined my makeup in a way I never had it ruined before without it.
Worthless product.
I’m adding this comment to all videos that convinced me to buy this trash and spend my money in something I didn’t need.
But there is a difference between setting sprays and fixing sprays. If it doesnt contain polymers in the ingredient deck, it is not intended to affix the makeup or lengthen wear time. Setting sprays are supposed to melt the layers of makeup together and take down powder. Yay science!! 💋
As an older woman with mature skin, I use Chanel's Sublimage foundation. It creates a flawless dewy finish, BUT it doesn't last all day. It is also very sheer and not great for building up. However, using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting makes my foundation LAST ALL DAY. One tip I tried just to see if it worked is to apply one pump of foundation, then lightly spray with setting spray, allow to dry, apply another sheer layer of foundation, and proceed with remainder of makeup. Finally apply setting spray again. Makeup looked beautiful, but not heavy. The CT setting spray "airbrushed" it and it was soooo lasting.
I put Charlotte tilbury because it’s amazing but I used to buy UD all nighter and now I’m curious to maybe try that again

Kinda surprised that Mac Fix+ is on this list considering it’s not technically a setting spray but more of a finishing spray. But hey, I love it too ❤️ but I generally use a setting spray over top of it. Unless I’m only going to be wearing makeup for a couple of hours then I would use it alone 🤷🏻♀️
What is the difference between both?
@@dilara6499 a setting spray does just that. It’s sets the makeup and prolongs the wear. A finishing spray generally doesn’t have alcohol in it (which is what “sets” the makeup) so it doesn’t work well to extend the makeup wear time. It acts like a refresher and kicks off the powdery look. You can also use a finishing spray multiple times throughout the day where it’s not advised to use a setting spray multiple times because of the high alcohol content

I know that clean makeup is the trend right now and would love someone to review them. It seems like there are 2 groups for Clean makeup-prestige/expensive and affordable. It’s hard as a consumer to know if it’s worth it to splurge or can the affordable brands can be just as good. It would be great to see your reviews on both groups. Bought my first setting spray because of I was doing my own wedding makeup, The Urban Decay All nighter and my makeup stayed perfect, only had to fix my lipstick once in 13 hours
The Benefit Porefessional Super Setter, deserves a higher spot 🫢😅 as someone that worked in Sephora (Canada) for almost 4 years, the ONLY setting spray I’ve used that actually held up against the covid mask mandates, is the Benefit one!! It doesn’t separate my makeup, and actually holds my makeup in place!
I HATED the Urban Decay ones.. even years ago when they were more popular! Even without masks being considered in that, it’s not a great product anymore compared to the amazing options out there! The mist is not good on those, it ruins makeup with specks, and didn’t actually stop fading and transfer for me (but I know it does for some people!)
The benefit one is AMAZING!!! The mist is SO light and fine, and you can actually coat yourself in it without ruining any of your makeup ❤

Came across this video because I was trying to find the best setting spray. I haven’t worn makeup in a couple years (depression, life stuff) and I’ve been really wanting to get back into it. The last spray I used was UD’s All Nighter and I wasn’t sure if that was still IT. And apparently it is! lol I really appreciated this video, so thank you! Love the All Nighter spray. I used to think it was the makeup I was buying. Nope, was the junk setting spray I was setting it with! I bought the All Nighter and it was the game changer. I’ve never tried another since then. It works so well. I stock up when I find one at a good price. Do not want to run out!
I pick products up based on your recommendation all the time. After hearing you rave about the NARS light reflecting foundation over and over and over again, I was like ok I have to get it. And I now wear it EVERY SINGLE DAY. It is my all time favorite foundation. So grateful you convinced me to try it! Love you Allie!
skindanavia setting spray and primer pray is my holy grail. Mac Fix + is just water IMO. It does nothing for me. Not sure why the hype. It melts the powdery look away, but doesn't hold it in place

i have always used the Mac Fix Plus to wet my brush before putting on shimmer eyeshadows to make them metallic like! It works so well and keeps my eyeshadow in place.

The colourpop one is nice but less than halfway through the bottle my sprayer went from a fine mist to a solid stream like a squirt gun. I cleaned the nozzle with warm soapy water thinking it might be clogged, but it made no difference... maybe I just got a dud?
Worldwide? You mean in the US? 6 of these are not even available where I live and I'm pretty sure they are not available in many many many countries either.
I’ve recently been loving the PYT setting spray for a clean beauty option. Feels refreshing and locks it in more than the milk one for me (though I love the milk hydrogrip primer)

I use the urban decay all night or on my wedding day and it was absolutely amazing it was 95° with about 80% humidity and my make up stayed perfect until I took it off to go to bed. that was in 2018 nothing compares to the one size setting spray that holds everything makes your make up look flawless and you can even swim with it
Oh man. It has been a while since I've used the Morphe continuous setting spray and I remember it being so good. I used to be meh at makeup back when I used this so I might try it again since I've improved. I loved this series Allie. I hope you have a safe delivery! Keep up the good work :)
