- Julie Powell, whose attempt to cook through Julia Child's recipes became the 2009 film 'Julie & Julia' starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep, has died. She was 49 years old. Powell's husband, Eric, confirmed the news to 'The New York Times.'

I went into cardiac arrest in 2020 two hours before my 53rd birthday. Blocked artery with a blood clot. I recognized there was an issue and immediately went to the ER. I was in cardiac arrest within 5 minutes of getting there and I was out for 5 minutes before I was revived. I like to joke that my 2020 was 5 minutes shorter than everybody else but it makes me especially sad to hear when others don't make it, especially at a relatively young age. What I do know is she is at peace now.
