- In todays video, went to a customers house that was experiencing longer then normal run time on their Amana heat pump system. They initially chalked it up to the high temps, because the house would maintain a comfortable temperature, but the run time was significantly longer than usual. So I gushed up and found that the system was low on refrigeration! I did a pretty extensive 30 minute leak search at the air handler and the condenser. Only to find that the shrader cores at been leaking. Topped the system off with 6 lbs of 410a and is running better then ever. The customer noted the difference within 30 minutes at the peak of the day!

Good find! The shraeder cores are the first place I start on my leak searches because we find so many leaking plus new caps. Looks like it was pretty low taking 6lbs but seems like straight honest work. I think it is funny people really think those misting systems help. They definitely cause more problems for certain. Hope the doctor results came back well.
I think that’s a good way I should go about it! I usually start at the evap then condenser, but may just jump to the cores first thing! It’s irritating when those ppl say hvac are scammers all the time and put some crap out like that! Appreciate it 🫡

Yeah was a bit wild going thru it but at 17 felt like it was no thing! Now as I’ve gotten older just taking it more serious. Growing up they always thought I just had a murmur and I was good, turned out it was a hole in my heart 😂

I needed a very simple procedure done. I had a bone spur on my foot. Shout out to Dr. Jaws a UA-camr who did it. He made me get a pre-surgical check. It was a bit odd as it was just a local being administered. My wife does surgical procedures every day and doesn't ask for that. The doc in the box at the clinic tells me I have a heart issue from the EKG and scared the crap out of me. My wife happens to be an MD. She sends me to a well trained cardiologist. He does all kinds of testing and it turns out my heart is ever so slightly turned so one probe on the EKG doesn't receive a good signal. The doc in the box guy actually told me I had a previous undetected MI (heart attack). Thankfully that wasn't the case at all.
Well fudge 😳 that’s wild!! Pretty solid of him like you said to just get a check! Hope all is well! I had a PFO back in the day and they closed it up. Ekg showed fine actually going back for an echo and a stress test. I haven’t been to cardiologist in over a decade!
😂 @18:03 the sprinkler flapper! I have used water to keep a restaurant A/C going for over a week before while we waited for the condenser fan motor to come in. They thought I was a genius

@@KoolinwithKrauss I went and bought a cheap water hose and drilled a bunch of holes in it, then zip tied it to the condenser coil. This was like a 20 ton unit. They used so much water but the restaurant stayed cool.
I got one of those schrader torque tools. After I swap valves I put that on it just to verify!

That sprinkler thing works great! I have 40* coming out of my vents in So. Fl. The only minor issue is it rusted my condenser coil out so I need you to come down to Broward and swap it out for me. :)
I really can't believe some of the videos that guy makes. DIY change outs. It's easy anyone can do it. Buy your equipment on the internet and pay some guy on the side to install for you for a 6 pack and large pepperoni pizza.

Thanks for watching! So it’s not fully my business, I have equity and am a partner! But fortunately we acquired a business that had been around for quite some time and we were able to just continue operating as that business and keep that client base! Then once we rebranded, it’s been 50/50 because it’s almost like starting from scratch. But we’ve laid into digital marketing pretty good, sent out mailers to existing customers and new zip codes also. Socials have helped and community groups and chambers! A lot of steps with it, we’ve recently done a family bingo night at a restaurant and sponsor a little league!! Kind of all over the place but hope that helps

Jake I don't see too many Amanas but my mentor used to fight with the top just like the Goodmans. Is it your experience that ALL of the Amanas with that inset fan grille can be removed without disturbing the whole outside shell?
I don’t often see Amanas either, but when I do… 😂 they are generally like this with the recess. I like now that goodman has finally redesigned theirs 🙏
