Frieza had some damn intimidating lines in this episode, implying to Nail that Namek will be blown up and forgotten, and that "Give Me Some IDEAS" is so good. And now he's here how will Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan survive the galactic tyrant?

His power level is currently roughly double Vegeta's and Gohan's, but hopefully they can work together to see this through. Also, Krillin's comment about being on Namek for a year isn't a joke. Between episodes 13 and 24, you have witnessed a full year of growth and improvement from TeamFourStar. Nail proves that Namekians have absolutely unreal endurance. Despite us seeing Nail from two different angles, the background remains unchanged. I'm not versed enough in animation to describe what's happening there, but it's always neat to glimpse behind the curtain and see animation techniques at work. Porunga granting three wishes and Shenron granting one is a power variance and a neat concept. Every dragon bound to a set of Dragon Balls is different, potentially. So Wednesday you'll get to see just how that answer scores Piccolo in terms of raw numbers. Speaking of, clearing Episode 25 means you'll be able to see the Lord Slug movie, or you can finish out Season 2 first. Honestly, I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to finish the season first considering we're at the main event. Frieza: 353 Raditz Vegeta: 166.6 Raditz Gohan: 166.6 Raditz Goku: 120 Raditz Captain Ginyu: 80 Raditz Krillin: 50 Raditz Recoome: 30 Raditz Jeice: 29.3 Raditz Burter: 28 Raditz Nail: 28 Raditz The Great Zambino: 20 Raditz Piccolo: 18.6 Raditz Captain Ginyu (Goku's Body): 15.3 Raditz Dodoria: 14.6 Raditz Cui: 12 Raditz Guldo: 6.6 Raditz Appule: 4 Raditz Namekian Warriors: 2 Raditz Dende: 0.01 Raditz
the leaderboard doesn't make much sense to me. just using episode 8 for reference, vegeta has the line "Congratulations, you just destroyed the equivalent of 3 raditz. Nappa here is worth 5 raditz, and I am worth 15 raditz." after krillin's limit break. Later in a conversation between Vegeta and Cui, vegeta inquires about Cui's power level, and cui smugly responds "You *would* forget. 18,000, same as yours vegeta." which heavily implies that before the zenkai boost from being beaten back on earth, cui and vegeta were on the same level. but then here on the leaderboard cui is at 12 raditz which is already lower than the baseline of 15 that he should have been. the other major discrepancy is Gohan being on par with vegeta and both of them being *above* goku. Gohan literally says "with this power up, i'm now as strong as you were when we fought on earth" which would be 15 raditz. And how are gohan and vegeta above goku at all? Goku shows up and oneshots recoome after vegeta + gohan + krillin all get beatdowns. I just can't figure out where you got your numbers. i just noticed that krillin is like 20 raditz higher than recoome for some reason too. And that recoome kick obliterated him on the spot.
Also got to mention that the Dragons wish can't affect someone who is stronger then the DragonBall creator, unless they want it too. You see this in the future.
@@jigstraw2809 The numbers are based on canon material and sources, which Abridged Vegeta wasn't entirely accurate about during Season 1. The joke for the leaderboard is scaling all of the canon power levels divided by 1,500, the official power level of Raditz. When Gohan said he was as strong as Vegeta on Earth, he wasn't completely accurate but since he was around or beneath Cui when making that statement, it was general enough to be accurate. Also the reason Gohan and Vegeta are above Goku is he hasn't been showing off his full power. The 180,000 measurement is Goku at Kaioken x2, nowhere remotely near his full output, whereas the 250,000 measurement is Vegeta and Gohan going all out. So not only is Goku not showing his full power, but now he has a Zenkai bonus coming his way.
one of the best episodes. all of the call backs. all of the telling lines. the menace. all of the characters getting into their opinions of each other over the last few episodes is great and preps us up for more playful dialog in the future.
Thank you for acknowledging the last line. Martin's/Littlekuriboh's delivery is SO FREAKING GOOD. I literally get chills every time. Other reactor's just kinda like laugh it off, but giving it acknowledgment and it's own space really made me happy. Thank you.
There is one interesting note. The Namekian languange is actually just straight up Klingon. Maybe little butchered, but TFS used Klingon as the alien language, which definitively works.
i think u two smiled more in this episode than any other! frieza even in the actual show is the most menacing villain in the whole of dbz. the abridged show does a great job of making him funny but still keeping that menacing tone
2:30 In 6 days the majority of the Namekians died, Freeza lost his best fighters and entire crew, and now I wonder what sayeth the lord for day 7? XD Despite that Piccolo pointed out that wishing him to Namek was a bad idea(Contextually speaking it is since Freeza could kill him and put them back at square 1), in the show proper, he requested Krillin and Gohan wish him there so he could fight for his people and protect Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma. The others disputed him getting wished back first, but he points out that its their best shot of saving everyone since his revival means Kami comes back ergo Earth's dragon balls are restored. The ONLY problem is that Chiaotzu(the little doll looking guy) was wished back once before, therefore Earth's dragon cannot revive him. So they almost thought of everything =D Guru actually dies of heartache since all the Nameks he brought into the world to revitalize their race were so callously killed by Freeza and Co. He just felt like everything he worked for was a failure and he felt alone(He also knew Nail was going to a death sentence to stall time against Freeza). He held on long enough for the dragon to be summoned, but he does in fact die right as the third wish is being made. Guru's death was incredibly sad since you see Dende break down in tears and both Gohan and Krillin are beside themselves. I do think had Dende not been rescued by Gohan and Krillin, Guru would have died much sooner. And yeah when Freeza shows up EVERYONE goes into fear mode. Like Vegeta was a bit scared of the Ginyu's but he held his own against Recoome. Freeza is a whooooole different ballgame.
You know someone like Nail can take and dish out pain when he keeps get his arm ripped off and regenerating it. Because holy crap, that a buttload of arms!😨
loving your activeness with finishing this series. keep them coming. we support you. 🤗 btw did you notice that when Freeza said how many arms we are up to, he said 24? what's cool about that? Look at the episode number :)
Ok so to be clear Shenron, the earth dragon can grant 1 wish and revive any number of people at once, but not if they've been revived before Prounga, grants 3 wishes, and can bring people back if they've already died before, but it's 1 person per wish
About your comment on wishing Frieza to be dead. Regarding Earth dragon balls, probably Namekian dragon balls too, the dragon cannot directly get involve in killing someone. Although, TFS seems to indicate the dragon can *indirectly* do so (sending Vegeta and Nappa into an asteroid field) There's also the issue that the dragon can only grant wishes within its own power, which is capped by the creator's powers. Assuming the dragon can kill someone, neither Guru nor Kami are strong enough to kill Frieza, so the dragons shouldn't be able to either.
Ah, thanks so much for explaining that. That makes sense because it would be too easy for heroes to win like that, even though a hero wouldn’t wish someone dead. 🙂🤗
Vegeta: “God I overslept…it’s already night….for the first time since I got here……….on a planet with three suns….” Me: Wait for it…. Vegeta: (finally gets it) “Oh you mother…..!” There it is! 😂😂😂

theres always something magical about seeing beth smile or laugh. don't get me wrong ken, i like yours too but beth just looks so precious and it puts a smile on my face.
If I am not mistaken the delivery of this line "Give me some ideas" was the actual reason, that the VA for Freeza aka "LittleKuriboh" got that act in the first place.
Funfact: Through "training" with King Kai, Piccollo has become much stronger (somehow) and it was his own idea to let Gohan and the others "wish" him to Namek. = "I have some unfinished business with this Freeza-Guy. He wiped out my race, and i will blow this guy out of the universe for it!"

The thing is that in the original Guru died out of sadness. Being forced to watch as Frieza and his men slaughtered his children literally made his heart give out from pure grief.
summon itsummon itsummon itsummon itsummon it....hahahhhaaaha!!.Lmfao, Krillin saying that so fast made me throw up laughing the first time, completely off my guard great reaction u too ;)
This is the episode where TFS go full meta with narrative and ludonarrative, basically smashing them together until they make something funny and true to the series at the same time.
Frieza's final line of this episode is so chilling, and I love seeing new reactions to it. But you two are among my favourite. DBZA Frieza is voiced by Martin Billainy, aka Little Kuroboh, the man who popularised the abridged parody style with Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridgedway back in 2009. Have you two watched that series yet?
This moment was really brave of Nail, because Freeza was a freaking show off there. He said Nail's powerlevel was 42,000 ... and he took a moment of epic silence "And mine is 530,000" which was mindblown for it's time for us poor teens at home. Epic finak line indeed, better than the original dub. And i mean the japanese dub. (The english dub i watched years ago came with a lot of issues) Even the dub from my place wasn't that great in compare to the TFS version: "Too bad... you tried so hard and you failed anyway... but don't worry... because I will kill you all very slowly"... (something like that)
Just remember. There may still be plenty of jokes. But this season has hinted at them showing bits of a serious undertone. Theres a special tie in movie to season 3 thats worth watching after a certain point im sure you've been given a list of episodes and movies to go through on so you'll get to it eventually. But it has the most serious of storylines by that point and despite the jokes that were dedicated as hard to come up with and still be tasteful to the tone of the special, it is played serious for the most part. Some longtime dbz fans actually got teary eyed at a certain part. Just be prepared cause it can hit hard even if you're new to the DBZ universe.
One thing established in DBZ was that you can’t just wish to kill somebody stronger then their creator. So if Kami/Guru can’t do it, Dragon can’t do it.
11:07 If only it was that easy because it turns out you can't use the dragon balls to kill people, or at least you can't kill people that surpass the dragon/the dragon's creator in power. The dragon balls can only grant wishes that are within their power.
If I had to pick a point I think the jokes and the series took off as an abridged series, I think between 18 and here is where the incline greatly happened. Your going to love the characters more so moving forward.
Frieza is widely-regarded as the 'best villain' in all of the running of DBZ. So much so that he is re-used in every opportunity game devs and such can use him. I think even Toriyama has said before that of all the villains he has made, Frieza is his favorite because of how unashamedly smug and evil he is. He just doesn't care, even in the canon DBZ Universe.
Hey, was curious if you two were ever gonna check out the Dragon Ball Legends short that came out a month or two ago. It's a fan made original with some stellar action and a great new take on the lore. Anyways it's less than ten minutes and so worth the reaction
The more I think of it the more I realize that Vegeta plan to be Immortal wasn't realistic. It means that you won't die but it doesn't mean that you will become the most powerful in the Galaxy.
This, and generally a lot of the content with Freeza, shows what really shifts this series into high gear imo - actually presenting more of a literal "abridged" rendition of the show as opposed to a parody. While there are still jokes and a lot of send-ups with some of the villains, Freeza in this version isn't even really a parody of the character like even characters like Goku are in this. This Freeza is treated and portrayed just like another version of the character and virtually no different from how he actually is. He may crack a joke here and there, but he does pretty much nothing that the "normal" Freeza wouldn't do. There's a quality turning point in this series, but I think from Freeza's introduction is the start of the tonal turning point. It would seem obvious because "abridged" just means a shortened version of a story (which DBZA is) but so much of online abridged series are more parody/comedy series than just a shortened version of what happened in the source material. And this is where DBZA really takes that step. It's still comedy/parody mostly but this is the start of where the series stops just being a lighthearted romp using Dragon Ball and actually becomes evident that this is a labor of love from fans of the source material. Long story short, Freeza is basically the same in this parody as he is in the original, and that is the start of this shit getting really good. Like moments and characterizations in this sticking in one's mind even more than the original.
lmao. that joke about krillin felt like it's been a year when they were in namek for less than a week because this arc took a very long time to finish when it originally aired. the original had a notorious reputation of having an episode that nothing's happening.
you cant use the dragons to kill people. Zalama from Super can remove someone from existence but xeno would probably immediately undo it because hes just a petty kid.
By the way, they can't wish Frieza to be dead. Because Frieza is more powerful than the creator of the Dragon Balls Which means it won't affect Frieza at all. This is why the Dragon Balls have limits in these stories because If they wish for their enemies to be dead then these Big Bad won't matter in these Sagas.
Sadly they can't just wish Freeza dead, the dragons can only affect beings equal or weaker to it. Anything stronger and they have to consent to it. The strength of the dragon is roughly on par with the one who created the dragon so the stronger the creator the more the dragon can do. Earths dragon is much weaker than the Namekian dragon for this reason (Kami is much weaker than Guru) though they do follow slightly different rules.

Krillin: 50 Raditz
Recoome: 30 Raditz
Jeice: 29.3 Raditz
Burter: 28 Raditz
Nail: 28 Raditz
The Great Zambino: 20 Raditz
Piccolo: 18.6 Raditz
Captain Ginyu (Goku's Body): 15.3 Raditz
Dodoria: 14.6 Raditz
Cui: 12 Raditz
Guldo: 6.6 Raditz
Appule: 4 Raditz
Namekian Warriors: 2 Raditz
Dende: 0.01 Raditz
the leaderboard doesn't make much sense to me. just using episode 8 for reference, vegeta has the line "Congratulations, you just destroyed the equivalent of 3 raditz.
@@chiromagi7822 okay, that makes a lot more sense now, thanks for explaining. appreciate your committment to the bit too.
We will be watching Lord Slug after episode 25 😁
one of the best episodes. all of the call backs. all of the telling lines. the menace.
all of the characters getting into their opinions of each other over the last few episodes is great and preps us up for more playful dialog in the future.
Thank you for acknowledging the last line. Martin's/Littlekuriboh's delivery is SO FREAKING GOOD. I literally get chills every time. Other reactor's just kinda like laugh it off, but giving it acknowledgment and it's own space really made me happy. Thank you.
Freeza: *mock amused tone* "Oh ho no, don't mind me," *switches to a menacing tone*, "give me some ideas!"
😈😁
There is one interesting note.
The Namekian languange is actually just straight up Klingon. Maybe little butchered, but TFS used Klingon as the alien language, which definitively works.
That’s a cool fun fact 😀
i think u two smiled more in this episode than any other!
frieza even in the actual show is the most menacing villain in the whole of dbz. the abridged show does a great job of making him funny but still keeping that menacing tone
2:30 In 6 days the majority of the Namekians died, Freeza lost his best fighters and entire crew, and now I wonder what sayeth the lord for day 7? XD
Despite that Piccolo pointed out that wishing him to Namek was a bad idea(Contextually speaking it is since Freeza could kill him and put them back at square 1), in the show proper, he requested Krillin and Gohan wish him there so he could fight for his people and protect Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma. So they almost thought of everything =D
Guru actually dies of heartache since all the Nameks he brought into the world to revitalize their race were so callously killed by Freeza and Co.
btw did you notice that when Freeza said how many arms we are up to, he said 24? what's cool about that? Look at the episode number :)
Oh nice. We noticed it was a big number but didn’t tie it into the episode. Nice touch 😀
yeah they did a great job of portraying freeza as VERY dangerous and menacing, i love it
"By all means... *give me some ideas* ." is the fastest way I've ever been scared of a character.
It took me a long time to realize that Piccolo could hear Vegeta screaming. I thought Vegeta was saying "ow, my ears" for the alarm clock.
Ok so to be clear
Shenron, the earth dragon can grant 1 wish and revive any number of people at once, but not if they've been revived before
Prounga, grants 3 wishes, and can bring people back if they've already died before, but it's 1 person per wish
Thanks for the clarification 🙂
About your comment on wishing Frieza to be dead. Regarding Earth dragon balls, probably Namekian dragon balls too, the dragon cannot directly get involve in killing someone. Although, TFS seems to indicate the dragon can *indirectly* do so (sending Vegeta and Nappa into an asteroid field)
There's also the issue that the dragon can only grant wishes within its own power, which is capped by the creator's powers.
Vegeta: “God I overslept…it’s already night….for the first time since I got here……….on a planet with three suns….”
Me: Wait for it….
Vegeta: (finally gets it) “Oh you mother…..!”
There it is! 😂😂😂
Really happy that you like Freezer^^ He is a gonicidal megalomaniac and Team Fourstar take pride in writing the villains in a way that its clear what kind of evil person they really are. I think they did a fantastic Job with him
I love that final line from Freeza, such a perfect performance from LittleKurriboh.
Beth mentioning how frieza's last line was so great and terrifying.
Me: SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT!
thanks beth!! 💗
Vegeta: HEY, WHATS UP GUYS!!!
Vegeta: SO WATCH'RE YOU DOING?!!!
Gohan: What am I doing?
Vegeta: WHATE'RE YOU DOING?!!
Gohan: Nothing much
Vegeta: THWARTIN' MY PLANS?!!
Gohan: Twarting your plans?
Vegeta: ARE YOU?!!
Gohan: .....Yes
Vegeta: ...I'M GONNA F*CKING KILL YOU!!!!
Love the interaction so much 😂 the timing is just beautiful
"Give me some ideas..." One of the best line of this saga in my opinion, and the delivery is just 👌
theres always something magical about seeing beth smile or laugh. don't get me wrong ken, i like yours too but beth just looks so precious and it puts a smile on my face.
Vegeta from the original was my favorite character! He may have been a villain but he got some of the funniest lines!
At this point, Vegeta is like “The enemy of my enemy is my meatshield.”
Y'all are awesome, thanks for being such cool people.
Thank you for the super thanks and the well wishes! 🥰🙂 Sorry for the late reply 😅
I remember one of my friends was somehow Abridged Nail and Nappa given life…so I responded by being Guru.
If I am not mistaken the delivery of this line "Give me some ideas" was the actual reason, that the VA for Freeza aka "LittleKuriboh" got that act in the first place.
I just realized this episode foreshadowed piccolo’s extremely good hearing
Funfact: Through "training" with King Kai, Piccollo has become much stronger (somehow) and it was his own idea to let Gohan and the others "wish" him to Namek.
= "I have some unfinished business with this Freeza-Guy. He wiped out my race, and i will blow this guy out of the universe for it!"
This was around the time that the Voice of Yamcha left TFS and they had trouble finding a replacement. So it'll be a few more Episodes until you get to hear Yamcha again.
*cleaning throat*
"...Mmmmm what's this?... Naaaaaaaail ! Why do i have to read this?"...
... ... ...
"Oh he's gone... that SL*********T!"...
"Anyway.. The Following is a non-profit fan-based parody..."
The thing is that in the original Guru died out of sadness. Being forced to watch as Frieza and his men slaughtered his children literally made his heart give out from pure grief.
"There's always a certain amount of satisfaction I get out of doing it myself" ... That's what she said ! 😛
🤣😇
You guys are like a cool Aunt and Uncle, that watches all the funniest stuff
summon itsummon itsummon itsummon itsummon it....hahahhhaaaha!!.Lmfao, Krillin saying that so fast made me throw up laughing the first time, completely off my guard great reaction u too ;)
This is the episode where TFS go full meta with narrative and ludonarrative, basically smashing them together until they make something funny and true to the series at the same time.
Not many people notice, but when Vegeta yells "OH, YOU MOTHER F@CKERS!", you can hear Piccolo saying Ow, my ears!
Everyone loves Big Green 💚 😂 Don't expect too much tho, this is the Goku show :p
Freeza about Nails ripped off arms: "How many do you think we are up to ? I think we're up to 24 !"
Also, it is the 24th Episode.
(The english dub i watched years ago came with a lot of issues)
Even the dub from my place wasn't that great in compare to the TFS version:
"Too bad... you tried so hard and you failed anyway... but don't worry... because I will kill you all very slowly"... (something like that)
Still terrifying. But doesn’t have that badassery that this end line did 😈
Just remember.
11:00
TFS Freeza is one of the best things in the whole damn series.
“Ripping Nail’s arm off 24 times sadistically.” Is there any way to rip someone’s arm off 24 times *not* sadistically?
😂 good point. Maybe by apologizing after each time 😜🤗
If I had to pick a point I think the jokes and the series took off as an abridged series, I think between 18 and here is where the incline greatly happened.
AWESOME!!!! Loving you guys first reactions!!!
Hey, was curious if you two were ever gonna check out the Dragon Ball Legends short that came out a month or two ago. It's a fan made original with some stellar action and a great new take on the lore. Anyways it's less than ten minutes and so worth the reaction
We want to check it out but heard we should wait until we get more into series so we understand it more 🙂
loving these DBZA reactions
We are really enjoying the show 😀
The more I think of it the more I realize that Vegeta plan to be Immortal wasn't realistic.
Again no one cares for Yamcha 😂🤣😂😂
Krillin: What about Yamcha
Piccolo: No one cares what Yamcha thinks
Dende could just wish for his own immortality and pretend he made Vegeta immortal either instead of or in addition to himself.
BTW they can't just wish Freeza dead, in the actual series the Dragon can only kill beings weaker than the person who created them.
If you really like Frieza, you guys should look up TFS-Frieza hates heroic speeches. It's basically a compilation of his best moments.
Just a small reminder to put in there you can't use the dragon to kill someone since its beyond the dragons power to do that 👍
Thanks for the reminder 🙂
You guyz are going to enjoy freiza’s character from now on😂
This was one was way too funny then again all of them are quite hilarious plus I'm loving your reactions 👊 continue being rockstars 🤘
you cant use the dragons to kill people. Zalama from Super can remove someone from existence but xeno would probably immediately undo it because hes just a petty kid.
2:51 GODDAMN IT NAPPA🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
By the way, they can't wish Frieza to be dead. Because Frieza is more powerful than the creator of the Dragon Balls Which means it won't affect Frieza at all. This is why the Dragon Balls have limits in these stories because If they wish for their enemies to be dead then these Big Bad won't matter in these Sagas.
Frieza was amazing in this.
Facts 🤩
Well you guys convinced me to join your Patreon, after watching this, and yeah I cannot wait for you get to the end of this saga!!!
Nice. Welcome and thanks for the support! 🥳🥳😀 we have four new episodes dropping today on Patreon 😁
Take a whole week for this. Wooooow
All new and improved Kami! Now with better voice acting!
Oh it's so much darker when you actually watch the show cuz you get a feel of dread from the villain s
We bet 😈
And so the bloodbath begins
😈
Really do love the Abridged Namek saga
Ton of fun 🤩😎🤟
I thought Nail would end up in the coffin but nope 😌 his insults are pithy, they should show more of him
Sadly they can't just wish Freeza dead, the dragons can only affect beings equal or weaker to it.
You think you like piccolo now. He just gets better in this series lol
fun fact: Freeza is equally terriyfing in the original. here, he's more comedic. and i like it. :)
Happy Sunday :)
Best episode so far
We are currently at episode 29 now and it gets better 😀😎🤟
