@@Tracenji Connor has attested on trash taste on what us in those areas are like when brought up with alcohol, i mean i can't remember what he said his age was he first was drunk but it was near mine as i remember agreeing with him and Garnt about UK drinking and underage drunkeness (jeepers, mine was around at 14-15, was 'White lightning cider' and 7.5% - as pleasant as drinking paint thinner but did the job, at (back then) £2:50 for 3L of it, you and 2 friends could get drunk for very cheap
- that was what a lot of people my age, my parents age, my grandparents age, did as a teens here - we just learnt 'our limits' quite early the young drinkers and the ones who never did were the ones you'd always see legless on a friday-saturday night.
Now i don't drink, bar big events, and even then, like connor, theres water always mixed in - something you pick up but i ended up learning drinking from elders (Grandad would say 'for 2 whiskeys, 1 water and then carry on' and it's always worked for me but i don't drink much, never mind whiskey, now lol)
