In the clipped part he refers to the commenter's "racism", despite it seeming obvious that the point of the commenter was to subvert expectations by saying words starting with n that are unrelated to race. So he doesn't seem to have realized the point of the comment here, at the very least.
Yeah I find that commenter pretty funny, it's obviously a joke and I personally wouldn't classify that as racism.
I like how “not racist” is the first hurdle you have to clear here and it’s maybe a 50% clear rate
Casual racism was traditional globally until extremely recently. My family and older neighbors still do it.
@@KWifler Oh, I'm well aware of both how common it was historically and how common it still is. I live in Louisiana in a community that had a Klan HQ until the 90's.
But a LOT of bad things were traditional globally. And not doing any of those other bad things is a pretty low hurdle for most people. I'll put on a nice face when I'm with family friends who casually use the hard R in private, but I don't give them any leeway just because they're old fashioned.
And, more importantly, even THOSE people only use slurs in private when they're with people they think won't care. They actually wouldn't get banned in Connor's chat, because they know not to expose themselves like that! Even most racists find "don't use slurs in public" an incredibly low hurdle to clear.
