I've been studying in Sweden (Linköping University) for like a year now and, first off, 100% yes agree with all of this. But also, yes, please know that sweden is more than ikea, abba and house music. Sweden can be very... rigid. It is a country built on systems which, when you know the systems, works great. But if you're outside the norm or if special circumstance apply, it CAN be difficult to figure out what box you go in.
Hello Eve, thanks for the positive feedback! The new can sometimes be very overwhelming before it becomes familiar, I experience that the system in Sweden is designed to include not to exclude. Yes, the system here can appear on the surface rigid whilst the thought behind it is to be fair to all. I hope that you will continue to enjoy Sweden and also feel more included as I believe Sweden would want you to be! /Reuben Study in Sweden
Hej Eve, thanks so much for sharing this comment! I definitely see your point; many systems have been set up ideally to treat everyone fairly and equally and to be able to document that equal treatment, however if someone has a unique circumstance that hasn't been accounted for previously, sometimes it can be a long process for things to change. Hopefully, however, in whichever instances these things come up, be it at university, in health care, at work or in interpersonal relationships, people are willing to have an open dialogue and communicate to ensure everyone's wellbeing is accounted for. Hope you're having a wonderful time in Linköping! / Emma, Study in Sweden

@@josephinecallton4424 I'm not sure here, but PN might be the personalnumber, your swedish ID. Without that you cant do many things in sweden. Your kind of like locked out. Please correct me if I'm wrong 🙂
@@Enterialise Yeah, I´m sure PN is personalnumber, but the comparison? I have lived in many different countries and most requires you to have their form of peronalnumber. It is only a social security number.... In Sweden, just as in many other countries, it is hard until you receive yours since you can´t open a bank account, rent someplace to live etc. I just reacted to his comparison which is bonker and insane, comparing PM with the treatment of Jews in WW2.
@@josephinecallton4424 Yeah sorry. I was tired when I replied, do not even think I read the whole comment "clearly". I agree that it was a strange comparison. Morbid. A bad attempt at a joke. Not fun. Sorry if I seemed blunt, that was not my intention
Wow thanks for sharing. I love Sweden a lot, Sweden is the best place to live.
I hope you will enjoy your time here!
Thanks! Interesting video! 🙋♀️

And Sweden is a modern society with modern systems.
Germany is 10 years behind us.
We work to live.
Do not live to work.

And remember that studying abroad is temporary, sease the moment! Hakuna matata.
Living in Sweden without PN is nothing more than living a Jewish with star.
