I know this series was popular and critically successful, but I would still consider them underrated. They deserve to be recognized as classics of this generation's blockbusters. One of the greatest protagonists in recent memory, and really pushed the boundaries of CGI and special effects. Also, just an incredible trilogy, with every movie being very unique and telling its own story.
Dawn was by far the best. War/Rise were average

@@amaromendez6186 I doubt there will he another movie tho. It's been 6 years and no real teaser got released. The Kingdom trailer must be fan made, there aren't enough verified sources posting it. Although the 3 movies are amazing. It's my favorite trilogy in the entire movie industry.

The Ricktator It isn't necessarily a reboot. It is kinda, but it's more of a prequel-ish. leading up to the story for the very first film. which, by then, I hope they do a remake.

Just watched the movie and i realized that caesar ape is better than most of us humans... he would choose peace rather than war but would fight if he has to, a great leader, a person who value his home and his family, and a great warrior as well :)
Maybe that’s the point of this movie, for us to be more like Caesar, sometimes movies have a meaning like most of the Disney movies have, so kids learn what’s wrong and not but obviously some people didn’t watch Disney 😂

Watched this today, & can honestly say it's the best movie of 2014 so far. Better than Godzilla, better than Xmen. This movie had everyone on the edge of their seat, gasping and cheering throughout the movie. I haven't been so emotionally drawn into a movie in a very very long time. This movie far exceeded my expectations. Literally was "moviestruck" after I came out the theater. Truly incredible film. MUST WATCH!! P.s make sure you've watched the first one before you watch this.

3. Rise, awesome start to the trilogy but a little too slow on the story (still better than most movies to date)
2. War, awesome conclusion to Caesars rise as leader of the apes and epic final for this series
1. Dawn, hands down, Koba stole this movie, best villain in the trilogy and the whole film set up the awesome sequel

im from 2023, the quality of this movie is insane. Definitely one of the top movies of 2014, Godzilla being number one simply because that movie brought back Godzilla and the popularity of him
2:15 - that last shot of Koba walking the flagpole, looking over the humans being herded like cattle, gave me literal chills

An emotionally powerful film in many ways. You can really sympathize with both the human's or the ape's side of the story. Not to mention, Caesar's friendship with Malcom and conflict with Koba was just brilliantly written.
Go see this movie instead of Transformers 4 please it's worth it. The CGI is way better,there's actual plot,the action scene are awesome, and there is so many emotional moments. I truly recommend this movie.

Don't really have high standards for movies since I never really have a lot of chances to watch them.
I also noticed I seem to care very little about stuff like plot or CGI. I'm not sure why, though I'm assuming it has to do with my brain turned off and love of action scenes.

I remember seeing this film in cinemas and had actually justed watched it again yesterday. Its an absolute masterpiece.

I hope James Franco at least has a talking cameo or a reason for his absence and that they didnt just kill him off offscreen.
Dawn and War have books that explain the gaps between each movie. In the gap between Rise and Dawn, according to the book it is hinted that Franco was assassinated but never confirmed. By the time the character of the book gets to his house it is empty. But there was a militia after him , while they were bombing the Forrest.

Watching that scene when Caeser watches an video of him and himself when he is younger gives the film an emotional depth.

Saw this today, this is the best movie so far in 2014. Really good story with really good situations and decisions in the movie. Ceasar was very wise. This is a must see movie. Way better than godzilla, Transformers and some others. Top 3 movies for me in 2014 so far:
1. Dawn of the planet of the apes.
2. Xmen days of the future past.
3. Captain america: the winter soldier.
For me number 2 is The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but I agree with 1 and 3

Honestly one of the greatest film trailers in history, at least in my opinion. Just saw War yesterday, fantastic conclusion to a fantastic trilogy of movies. So glad they were able to revive this franchise the way they did.

1:32 Caesar smiles a sad, reminiscent smile. This is one of the reasons that will make Caesar truly intriguing. As an ape who's only family were humans, im sure his dilenma in trying to preserve the peace in the ape-human conflict will be gut wrenching!

Loved the film! I think it's brilliant how we sympathize with the apes at first then we realise that we humans also posses traits such as love and the sense of community and belonging just like the apes do. The movie shows that it is not hatred towards each other that tears us apart, but the hate inside our hearts.

I'm honestly surprised about how amazing this looks, seems like they're taking the original films to a hole different level.
This is gonna be a great movie I can already tell, this and days of future past are the only two movies im excited for.
I watched this at the cinemark on a Saturday. I wanted to watch it on the day it came out but my Mom had things to do. I kept telling my mom,"Aye, That's my movie." "I'm going to watch that movie." "That's going to be an awesome movie." I have never been so excited to watch a action movie. It was heart wrenching, touching, impressive and emotional. The movie does depicts how intelligent apes are and they are one of my favorite animals. The script writes did great work with those lines. "Humans destroyed each other." The baby was so cute>3

I absolutely loved Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Easily one of my favorite movies that year so can't wait for this film. And it was super-cool to talk to Matt Reeves, Keri Russell, and Dylan Clark at San Diego Comic-Con last year in the press room and make me even more excited so see the film!

I loved this movie so much. It makes you emerge into this world. It makes you think about how sometimes some humans can behave because of greed, and arrogance
