- Today we're doing a bit of dosing but the wind is making it very difficult! (We subbed the really windy parts where its hard to see)

What a run you did chasing Jock down before the sheep came along! You almost need Spot to round up Jock as well as the sheep. Great work Lizzy.
you often find the older sheep dogs, like Meg, who aren't up to running the sheep any more end up rounding up the children instead 🤣🤣

Thanks, they’re some stressful situations occasionally but I expect/anticipate that when working with kids and animals so try to work in a way to reduce those sort of situations.

Angus reminds me of the days when I used to cycle to the next village to buy the village baker’s bread. My son would nod off and we would nearly fall of as he flopped sideways when he nodded off. Those were the days when we bought delicious bakery bread.

It is crazy how much they are taking in, not sheep related but Angus picked up his nappy in a bag and took it to the bin today with out me saying anything, I was quite surprised he’d even picked up on that yet!

Angus was really steady walking backwards even if he was holding your hand😂 Lovely seeing Meg does she ever try to herd the boys We had an old collie 10 years to our 3-5 years who was a quasi babysitter
Angus is a little pigeon toed so seems to fall easily but is getting better 🤞💪

My great grandparents came to the USA from Scotland and I believe you share the same spelling of our last name very uncommon in USA to find it spelled without a p in itlove watching the boys they are busy little guys
Yes “Thomson” without the P is the Scottish way, my dads grandparents were Scottish and my Granny on mums side was Scottish, but having grown up in England we would constantly have to tell people how to spell our surname

Get some Bluey on the iPad for Jock, I've noticed my boys are a lot less whingey when they've watched that over Peppa Pig. I am biased though being an Aussie. 😊 edited to add you did a great job judging the speed the ewes were heading in and getting Jock out of the way. 👍

Yeah we love Bluey too but for some reason even when the tablet was attached to the WiFi I couldn’t download Bluey, downloaded a few seasons of Peter rabbit the other day and he likes that too, I’m not a big fan of peppa.

How do you manage it? I hope you get a chance to put hour feet up in the evenings. Those boys are too darned cute. 👍😊👍❤️❤️
It can be a juggle but I like being my own boss and I work jobs in to suit me and the boys and if I need to stop and sort snacks or a nappy I can which is great, they sleep well so I do manage a sit down in the evenings 😊
So much to manage. It’s funny that “stand” means to stop and lay down. Spot seems to be doing well. Are there specific things you are meant to me teaching Spot in the next year? Take care.
Yeah there can be a few different variations on commands especially when someone is training a few dogs they can’t have them all on the same so vary it slightly. Spot is pretty much a trained dog, but the biggest thing will be getting a bond with him and us as we were not his trainer, he’ll need a bit more experience on larger mobs and also how to help at lambing time too but he is just 2 years old so plenty of time and potential yet.
I don’t know where you get your energy from. You take care of the sheep, two boys and your husband all while being pregnant.
