thanks for joining us on one of the first "ride therapy videos" and welcome to the channel Marlon. Apologies for the slow response. Work has been crazy and I'm finally catching up with UA-cam. Glad you enjoyed the vlog style of this video series. I'm still in the process of refining and tweaking this so feedback is super helpful. The next 2 videos have just motor sounds and music but I'm possibly going to remove music on the next version.
thanks for joining us for this ride! I apologize for the delayed response again. Just getting back from a much needed family trip to get away from NYC for a bit! It's been so long since I've ridden at this time that I almost forgot how amazing it is. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
thanks for joining us for the ride and welcome to the channel, I'm glad you enjoyed the ambient sounds of the video! I'm new to this style of video and I'm still in the process of dialing the settings so thank you for your patience and vote of confidence!
Great presentation! Riding over bridges and through NYC streets at night is a challenge. Imagine if Batman had an ebike and you two met. Now that would be content to put on UA-cam. But your bike is the Batebike. Stay safe and happy riding.
thanks for joining us on this ride as well, glad to hear that you enjoyed v1 of the this new video series I'll be playing around with! Navigating NYC at night definitely presents a different challenge compared to the day. Despite that, it's so much more relaxing dealing with this than the heavy congestion caused by all the vehicles and heards of humans. hahaha an encounter with the Dark Knight himself would be dope. We could absolutely make that happen by visiting Time Square because there's always someone dressed as batman. The only problem is they'll charge me $50 for the video clip lol
The same thing happens to me almost every day, thinking about everything I have to pay and I don't have enough money to pay it, but I don't think about it anymore because otherwise I'm going to go crazy and I'll never sleep.
Thanks for joining us for the ride and welcome to the channel! Yea man, we all have things that we’re worried about from responsibilities to personal matters. The great thing about riding is it’s just you enjoying the moment and none of it matters once you’re on the road 🫡
I do my night cruising on the weekends, so peaceful you’ll for sure fall asleep afterwards. Keep the red light stops, it completes the experience, choppy videos makes you feel like you missed something. Low traffic and still getting screamed at 🤣, excellent video.
Thanks for joining us on this ride Reuben! Nights on the weekend is for sure a good time to ride. I definitely knocked out super quick after I got ready for bed. Thank god the roads were pretty empty, it allowed me to relax a bit. Hahaha except for that part in BK where I got honked at while approaching a red light and that NPC yelling in the middle of 34th street. Honestly, nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the dumb things that happen in this city 😂🫡
thanks for joining us for this ride as well! I apologize for the delayed response again, I'm just getting back from a much needed family trip away from work/ NYC! I appreciate your kind words, I appreciate your support. I'm hoping that our stress and anxiety levels will come down once we finally fill the open position at work. We've been quite vocal about it so they're looking to hire soon! There's light at the end of the tunnel lol
Thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the channel DJ! I’m happy to hear that you’ve been enjoying the videos on the channel. I love being able to share a more “calm in the trenches” view of the city. There’s plenty of high level aerial views and plenty of videos that showcase how crazy it can be, so I thought more chill videos would be a fun change of pace for a lot of people!
As someone from another country who has never even visited nyc, let alone the usa. It would be interesting to hear more about the little things that make up the ride, why you can or cant run reds, why you take certains streets, why you avoid certain routes, whats down that way, that place on the corner serves great... etc etc. I personally find it very interesting hearing about the little nuances that you only know about from living there and being a local. Another fun vid thanks Ivan!
thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the comments section EnJay! Thank you for chiming in, I really appreciate the feedback. I have it planned to implement something similar to the "Commute Experience" series that I have on the channel because I want to talk through some of the moves that I make on the road. Since this video was so well received, I'm going to expand on this video with a new series playlist. With the next video, there won't be any talking after the intro and I'm going to bring up the ambient sounds of the motor and city. I'm in the process of curating some songs so that we can have music that matches the mood of the ride but that's going to take much longer than expected. You're very welcome and thank you for your continued support!
@@eyebahnrides Sounds like you have some good ideas. I like hearing your commentary and chatter. The idea of the city ambience and motor sounds good too! Keep it up you're onto something good here
@@enjay8950 thanks! I’m still quite new to this UA-cam thing so feedback is important. The commute experience series was actually created based on some of the feedback that I got during my first 3 months on UA-cam. It’s become the second most popular type of video behind Reviews so I hope the ambient rides will do as well in the future! Also, the goal is to be able to release 2-3 videos a week in the future. 1 video a week just takes too long to cycle between the different PEVs and video types!
I found this video relaxing as well. I had it playing on one monitor while working on the other one. Your videos help me miss home a bit less. Keep it coming please.
thanks for joining us for the ride! Apologies again for the delayed response, I'm finally catching up things after our much needed family trip lol. I'm glad that the videos are relaxing and helps with the homesickness. I'm also happy to see that this video style was so well received so I'm going to expand on this video and start a new "series playlist". Going forward, I'll remove the talking after the intro and just have the ambient noises of the city along with the motor sounds and light music. It might feel a bit more immersive for those that are looking for that type of video and I'll keep the "vlogging chats" to the Commute Experience series. I'll be adding it into the rotation soon and hopefully we can start doing 2 videos a week once my schedule at work calms the heck down lol. I look forward to your continued support!
Lived in the tri state region most of my life. To this day, there is nothing quite like crossing the east river and seeing the entire east side lit up, especially at 1am. It’s both beautiful and inspiring. Hope your ride helped you out man.
thanks man. This ride was definitely therapeutic, I slept like a log after I got home. I was so relaxed, I slept through 2 alarms and almost was late to work lol. I know that I take that view for granted, but I always have those moments where I'm like "riding this high up in the air with this beautiful view is surreal". Those are those moments where it makes it really difficult to move out of NYC lol
Thanks for joining us again! I appreciate the feedback 👊🏼👊🏼. NYC’s infrastructure can be amazing when it’s not congested lol. It makes switching back and forth between the bike lanes and the roads look much more seamless 😂
Thanks for watching and welcome back to the comments section Anthony! Thanks for the feedback. I generally do a lot more chatting on the “Commute Experience”, so I wanted to scale it back quite a bit with this video. The videos that inspired this new style have no commentary from the rider and it’s usually just ambient road noise and music! What I may do going forward is add a non commentary video into the rotation of content since I’ve been getting quite a bit of requests for it and I’ll separate the usual ridevlogs.

Mounted a bit lower so it lights up more of the road. Ideally, I would’ve put it on the fork. But the rubber mount wasn’t large enough to wrap around the fork
@eyebahnrides That sounds awesome, I will try a night ride like that soon. And thanks for the explanation on your shredlights setup. Don't have enough room on my handlebars, so will try something else if I decide to pick some up.
I like the night riding I'm just going to call you Knight Rider.
hahaha, thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel. Glad you enjoyed the night ride!
Where do you fix your bike in the city ?
thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the channel! I get my bike repaired at Last Mile NYC for the electricals and a bike shop for chain/tire repairs. I will never participate in third party battery repairs so I take good care of my batteries. In the event that something happens to them, I'll find a way to replace them from s73 instead of taking the dangerous third party approach.
is the insta 360 camera set on single lens while recording?
Thanks for watching this video as well! This one was shot using single lens mode.
