There’s 2 problems: without at least 4 players in each defensive line it’s always possible to do wide attacks through lateral lines or invert the ball and it depends a lot of resistance while without the ball. But all tactics have problems and this is one of the almost flawless ones. I still prefer 4 3 3 with false 9 but I guess it always depends on your equip, best players in each position, best equip in each tactic.
but with a 3-3, you can easily move one up or one down right? dynamically you still have pressure from the CAM if he participates, he can come down. have the wingers come down on either flank to lock down a side, especially if the opposition is moving the ball round laterally or backwards. correct me if I'm wrong

you've misunderstood a couple things. firstly, the formation starts as a simple 4-1-4-1, and morphs into a 3-3-1-3. but the lines are wrong. The first 3 is the two CBs and the holding midfielder (Kalvin) dropping deep and splitting the CBs wide. (69)
Marcelo Bielsa was not the first manager in South America to use this system in fact Croatia's Mirko Jozic 's Colo Colo 1991 used it in their Copa Libertadores winning season. Marcelo Bielsa met with Mirko while he was the managing Colo Colo on multiple occasions and has used it in most of his teams since.
Leeds United primarily play in a 4-1-4-1 formation. Although being known for tactical flexibility and unconventional creations like the 3-3-1-3 and 3-3-3-1, this shape has remained relatively consistent over the course of both of Bielsa’s seasons so far, even if adapted during build-up phases.101-tactics.com/2020/10/27/marcelo-bielsas-leeds-united-tactical-analysis/
I think you’ve missed the mark here as this is more an analysis of Leeds possession tactics than the 3313. Some of your example clips come from games where they’re running 433. 3313 or 3diamond3 is a defensive set up used by Leeds to counter the opponents 4diamond2. This allows them to man mark in the middle while remaining +1 in the back. Examples include games vs Hull City, Middlesborough and Luton town. In possession Leeds does similar stuff from all their defensive setups.
Appreciate the thought, You're correct, I am analyzing thier in-possession structure, which's core shape resembles a 3-3-1-3 most often (with many interchanges). I feel that they do primarily use this formation but has a lot of variants where it can change into a 4-3-3 or different. I guess its a game of opinions at the end of the day.
Mford94 To quote Bielsa’s opinion “a fixed system is one thing and moments of the game are another” I’ve seen leads use 433,3d3,343 as fixed defensive systems this season. With the insane amount of player rotation that they do, they adopt a myriad of shapes while in possession based on the mobility of the game. For example they sometimes have4,3,2 players on their back line in possession. A good player to look for to identify a shape is Alioski who is only used as a left full back in a 433 or wingback of the 343. When they use 3d3 (3313) they play no wingbacks and go with 4 midfielders, usually Dallas,Klich,Phillips,Hernandez. Both of these fixed systems change in possession based on the mobility of the game. For example, from 433, Phillips sometimes drops as a left false fullback allowing Alioski to move up the flank in the midfield line. After a transition, they’ll return to their original fixed spots for defensive duties (unless they’re counter pressing or swapping defensive duties based on the speed of the transition)
thought they play 1-4-1-4-1 when in possession playing out from back CM drops in between the cb,s with both fb pushed high,ya could agree that the 3 in middle play with 1 in front and 3 up front but in simple terms 1-4-1-4-1 would be the formation, nice work tho, love theyre passing patterns and positional play where theres never more than 2 players in the 5 lanes
Don't take it wrong but I don't think he will ever go at Chelsea. He never went into a big club with loads of money, he'd feel dirty. He's like a white knight tryin' to slay a dragon, he will go for a lesser team with big passion to overcome a challenge. I could see him in Dortmund / Napoli / Schalke 04 or maybe West Ham if it doesn't work with Leeds. I'd love to see him in Barcelona though. PS: I might have missed some potential clubs.. sorry
I am LFC fan but I like Leeds united .. Can say Leeds is my second best team after Liverpool. We both Leeds and LFC play fantastic football we both hate man u and man city hahaha
Look from here 3:00 looks like Leeds can not advance but the reality is that is in total control of the ball. Look the players, they have so much time that they can think and organize the Bielsa's strategy. Look, the players are thinking and are always in number advantaje with that killer rotation. I'm not european but it's amazing to see that control on a fast league like the premier.

Let see next season. Its formation is ok or not?
Thomas Mueller and Jesse Lingard would be perfect for this system.
and dele alli , firmino
R J Leeds should buy up and coming players like Lingard to strengthen the squad
Mason Mount.
Very nice video.
Excellent video, mate! You've got a good mind for the beautiful game :D
agreed
always ,, am really felt destoryed completely.Am i wrong?since 2 years ago, i am building..
Que bien juegan tácticamente están aceitados
football is all about creating spaces and using it. talent is secondary issue.
Ive tried to replicate this on FM for years, even tho you can have success with it, its not the same as Bielsas...
💙💛👑
Awesome
But this method was failed with Argentina NT at WC 2002..
It worked in 2004
I think you’ve missed the mark here as this is more an analysis of Leeds possession tactics than the 3313.
Mford94 check out Bielsa on this: ua-cam.com/video/qXt3rKnfbz8/v-deo.html
thought they play 1-4-1-4-1 when in possession playing out from back CM drops in between the cb,s with both fb pushed high,ya could agree that the 3 in middle play with 1 in front and 3 up front but in simple terms 1-4-1-4-1 would be the formation, nice work tho, love theyre passing patterns and positional play where theres never more than 2 players in the 5 lanes
Great video ⚽️ What software do you use to analyze?

Bielsa and Marcelo Gallardo are the best manager's in the world
When Chelsea eventually end up sacking Mason Mount's uncle at Chelsea. This man should take over.
I doubt he would go to a club without a project
Don't take it wrong but I don't think he will ever go at Chelsea. He never went into a big club with loads of money, he'd feel dirty. He's like a white knight tryin' to slay a dragon, he will go for a lesser team with big passion to overcome a challenge.
I could see him in Dortmund / Napoli / Schalke 04 or maybe West Ham if it doesn't work with Leeds. I'd love to see him in Barcelona though.
PS: I might have missed some potential clubs.. sorry
Yak gel bildiğin ne varsa bielsa
Interesting to see will Leeds be in premier league or will be relegated 😄😄😄
FENERBAHÇE 💛💙

Pass the ball to the CB, blast it up field to the penalty area, control, shoot, goal. What's the point of a hand gun if you can use a rocket
“infamous” doesnt mean what you think it does
Pete Theodocion noted 👍
Man said "Calvin"
But good video
marcusn apologies 😂
This is the perfect method to dismantle any team ,if his players don't betray him he'll easy smash loserpoop .
I am LFC fan but I like Leeds united .. Can say Leeds is my second best team after Liverpool. We both Leeds and LFC play fantastic football we both hate man u and man city hahaha

Imagine if bielsa had a twin and they were opposing managers in a cup final....... wudnt be boring 😆
Bielsa is like those science freaks guys, but for football
I am Fenerbahce fun.I want a one day Marcelo Bielsa is come to Fenerbahce
His Argentina 3313 formation failed in 2002!
I think arteta did similiar strategy at arsenal
New bielsa
Video music is like an adracadabra hocus song
It would be better if you speak. Reading in a football video is sometimes boring. Just a recommendation, great video👍🏼
3 3 1 3 is hard system player must be tecnical
Clearly Manchester United beat them by how many goals?
Similar to Guardiola's, Enrique's, Arteta's and Barcelona's tactics
they are the same to bielsa, he invented it, guardiola hymself said that.
Cosmin Contra don’t think I’ve seen Arteta use this, but true for rest. Agreed, Bielsa was the catalyst
@@mford9435 Not exactly the same, but similar. He usually starts with 4-3-3 nowadays, but switch to 3-5-2 when attacking:
........................ Martinez
............. Mustafi . Luiz . Tierney
Pepe . Bellerin . Ceballos . Xhaka . Saka
............... Nketiah ........... Aubameyang
@@manuvasari Nope Mitchells invented all of this. The rest are pretenders
@@ghost_kinggamer I am from the Netherlands and Mitchell played a total football style means every player on the field should be an attacker and defender. Bielsa invented a totally different style of play in 1990 were he based his tactics on high energy way of playing.
If bielsa had players who r good passers like barca , man would they not reck their opponents
Great review..! I thought that tactic was 4-3-3 hahahaha. Will be interesting to see what Leeds can do on Premier today :)
Different versions of 3-4-3
