In a world where possessing superpowers known as Quirks is the norm, Izuku Midoriya, who goes by Deku, is Quirkless. One day, however, he meets his idol and No. 1 hero All Might, who recognizes Deku’s innate potential as a hero and transfers his Quirk, One for All (OFA), to Deku. Enrolling at the prestigious U.A. High School, Deku strives to become a hero who can save society and people with his Quirk as he grows alongside his Class 1-A classmates.
In spring of Deku and his friends’ second year at U.A., the Heroes carry out a search-and-destroy mission against Shigaraki and the Villains, resulting in a fierce battle that can be described as an all-out war. The fighting comes to a temporary halt with significant damage incurred by both sides, shaking the public's trust in the Heroes and leading society into turmoil. Motivated by a sense of duty as the successor of OFA targeted by All for One (AFO), and not wanting to endanger those around him, Deku leaves U.A. to fight alone. As he becomes increasingly desperate and worn out, his Class 1-A classmates lend him a hand. Realizing they're stronger together, the U.A. students and the Heroes unite. Meanwhile, Shigaraki, AFO, and the other Villains plot their next move to try and annihilate the Heroes. At last, the final battle approaches. Plus, another Hero comes flying in from America.

I just realized the duality of his affiliations.
With Endeavour, he was ditched for a better option.
With All for One, he was ALSO ditched for another option.
The guy has been replaced all his life.
More of he was already a candidate for the number 1 hero and candidate for number 1 villain but failed both people who wanted to use him.
Basically even tho his power was great endeavor wanted a child with cold power and heat. For All for One he already had shigaraki but wanted dabi as another vessel but Touya couldn't get over his obsession wit his father. A failed option nonetheless.
@@l1_nimbus23Endeavor also realized Dabi's power would kill Dabi if he kept using it, but, by then, the damage was already done. Dabi is somewhat similar to Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, he believes what he deserved was taken from him, with the worse caveat that he was replaced.
When Shoto smiled and told Deku it's his power. I got tears. He has outgrown his negative emotions. 🤧

That's the great part of the villains in this anime. Yes, they're mostly outcasts, but they still made their choices. As though your "side" doesn't matter so much as your actions, your attitude, your openness to relationships.
Like in most contemporary Japanese tales, the thing that makes one destructive is the belief that nothing is worth preserving. Nihilism makes evil inevitable. Some of the villains still have hope, though, and they are the ones who redeem themselves in time.
And some of the heroes believe that nothing but the end goal of justice is worthwhile. And they're just as bad as the bad villains.

Dabi did a lot of terrible stuff and deserves the consequences, but Endeavor deserves a lot of blame and should be held accountable.
You can’t tell me there wasn’t a way to work things out to help Toya control his power before the great fire. Instead, he tossed him aside like a broken tool and neglected him. The fact Endeavor didn’t change 3 years after he “died” is sad.

Agree, the recent ones have been lacking action, specially from midoriya imo (like wtf why is he struggling to just get out of the island he got sent to cause of toga, she literally has no combat powers)

Ever since toei dropped those impact frames people can’t stop talking about impact frames.
Just wanna talk abt the voice acting both of them went all out for this. Even an interview was done for Shimono san and Kaji san right before the airing of the ep. For someone watching KnY and ApT to hear Shimono san’s acting as Dabi really is shocking, the screams and emotion into the character. Kaji san as well the inner Eren is showing up especially the last he was delivering, sounded exactly like the one Eren punched Dina Fritz titans before activating the coordinate.
Mad respect of the two VAs. Hope we get a just as equally emotional fight with uraraka and toga.
If anyone still says that MHA still has bad animation then you are the definition of a hater. Because the animation for this episode was just amazing
Brother, you are right, even though Estudio Bonus went through some bad circumstances, it did what was best for all of us. A true fan would never give up their most precious series

I'm so happy they choose Kimi no Chikara for this scene. Truly the Todoroki Theme to embody the power and tragedy of this family.
People need to realize that MHA's animation was made with a lot effort.
The problem with the current seasons was never Bones's fault, but more like the amount of work they needed to work on.
We all know that these current seasons are action-packed, because they are all about war and non-stop action.
The first 3-4 seasons were really well animated because they got everything under control, all the fights and battles back then were not that large or complex to animate like the recent seasons.
And yes, one of the reasons was the movies that they produced during the TV production. But i think there are more to talk about.
I don’t have a problem with it at all, still looks great to me.
Voice acting, animation, soundtrack, all of it is on point. Phenomenal work from Bones.

That's kinda the point I think. Toya in essence died all those years ago, what we see now is just a corpse puppeted by the hatred he holds towards his father. It's great visual storytelling honestly.
He awaken ice powers in the manga if i remember it right the moment all his family supports him to change so if he survived he has 100% ice and 100% fire

As someone who read the manga and once complained about the animation, I gotta hand it to them, this was amazing. I feel like people need to understand that the manga is just too high quality to be animated with the budget and time.

Not gonna lie. Dabi’s new design looked more brutal and visceral in the manga. Here, really his face is pretty much the only part that resembles the manga. The rest of his body looks about the same he hasn’t burnt much of himself yet.

4:34 The crazy part about it is everything Dabi is saying is so true. If Shoto past trauma didn’t hold him back and he grew up having a normal childhood training under Endeavor he would be or on the way to be the number 1 hero.

Its such a nice and well done twist that Endeavor wanted him to had ice powers to boost further the fire power. Instead what we got is using the fire to get an even stronger ice (plus the fire resistance)

Dabi is basically a wraith, a vengeful spirit seeking to destroy everything and everyone that caused him pain. It's haunting to see how he's literally too angry to die. His body is literally turning into charcoal and he couldn't give less of a shit.

I feel like Kimi no chikkara perfectly defines Shoto as a character and it’s crazy how any scene hits harder with this ost.
Bones cooked the animation was sooooo good so no one can say it was bad BONES COOKED BONES COOKED BONES COOKED GREATEST ADAPTATION OF THIS SEASON SO FAR!!!!!! The animation direction was so good as Dabi looked so raw and detailed and the impact frames were splendid and animated beautifially and the effects perfectly mirror the rawness of Horikoshi's art!!

4:50 I know Shoto has Heat Resistance and everything, but he should still be pretty badly hurt after that.
So for toya even after getting recover and being told to serve all for one the one thing that the demon Lord didn’t expect was the fact that even someone like Toya Can strongly refuse that offer even from all for one like he really doesn’t know what he’s been through actually he has no idea what endeavor created based on his fires of determination of anger and perfection of carelessness. Man It just shows that villains are not created by one villain, but by A hero, a hero, who has so much issues he ignores facing the problem and the villain tries to do better to please him.
Something I can’t say enough is how I couldn’t imagine being in Touya’s place in those flashbacks. Like, he burned himself up, and the next thing he knew he was several years older and looked completely different and had a different voice. And then he went home, only to realize that his father had essentially just continued on. All of Touya’s fears had essentially come to life.
It’s also honestly super sad that Shoto feels the need to carry all of the family’s hardships on his back when none of this should really be his responsibility. Unfortunately, Endeavor spent the last month or so completely neglecting Shoto and Touya, so he’s gonna have to fight All for One now instead, which sucks since Touya seems to really want to talk to him instead of Shoto, and I can’t say I blame him. Still though, I hope that Shoto can get through to Touya in some way. Touya may not want to admit it, bit they’re more alike than he thinks.
Unfortunately, I think that's probably just wishful thinking at this point. In "Planet of the Apes" they said the one ape character Koba became the evil being he was because he couldn't escape his hatred. Koba had been so damaged by the way humanity had treated him in the past that over time he became a slave to his anger, hatred, and resentment.
I think Dabi/Touya is pretty much the same way. Touya has over the last several years become so much of a prisoner to his hatred of his father that he's lost sight of all reason, morality, and principle. At this point, Dabi's anger and resentment are literally the only things that have been keeping him going. I guess I could be wrong, but from my perspective, someone who's come to that has reached the point of no return.

Endeavor wanted to beat All Might, so he made a powerful child to do it. And every powerful hero needs a powerful villain to match them. And he made them out of his two sons. 😑

At 1:22&1:23 now those were the eyes of the villain dabi That said those smart and specific things to endeavor Complying that why should he give up on a power that he bestowed and created for him when he was born and then starts going to attack his baby brother Shoto like a craze maniac that was dabi and for his mother He talks back to her with the villain dabi’s words that a mastermind villain would say Who doesn’t want to listen to reasons to anyone who cares about him and that was actually something the real toya didn’t mean to say as we just saw.
But now at 1:58 the villain dabi comes back this time telling the ruler of villains All for one That no matter what he says and what he could offer him He wouldn’t want to listen to him because there’s only one person he will listen to the one who brought him into this world and gave him the fire 🔥 quirk.

Animations are cool but the manga is another world. Mha is my fav anime/manga, dabi is my fav character, i been waiting a long time for this fight to be animated but i'd give it a 7/10 (i also give 9/10 at the fight in general cuz i wanted to see more of dabi flames, for sure a prominence burn that would turn somebody to dust)

Honestly if Touya would have showed himself sooner I think Endeavor would have went through his character development much earlier and he wouldn’t have pushed Shoto that hard in training and he would have been a better husband and father to his kids
Don’t want to go into details due to spoilers for anime onlys but Toya ‘death’ is one of the key reasons why Endeavor became who we was in earlier parts of the series

Dabi/Toya is one of the best and most complex villains in modern manga and people need to accept that
Just like after he wakes up after getting burned he thought about going home but the worker there says this is your new home a.k.a. family so he decided to be very mad and inflamed and burn the entire place to the ground and AFO spared him saying that he was failure and decided to leave him alone but suddenly he just went back to the league of villains

The animation is good, but it still doesn't do Horikoshi's incredible manga art justice.
Honestly, if Bones had delayed the 4th movie and took more time on the series animation like they did with Mob Psycho, MHA animation had the potential to be awesome, but they just rushed it and forked all the budget into the movie
Animation was great. Wish they would go all in on Dabi’s battle damage. In the manga he pretty much becomes a charred corpse as these battles goes on. His face here is the only thing that’s carried over so far.

Shoto is the Sakura of my hero academia, they literally did mad setup for him and then like the only thing he did was get jobs at his dad's company for the rest of the crew even after talking mad trash that he would never take his help
