British composer Keith Mansfield is known for creating a sizeable body of library music, much of it for the KPM imprint. his many instrumentals and bits of incidental music have been used for all sorts of TV shows, films, and ads. his best-known piece is this, his "Funky Fanfare." it was used for the Astro Daters series of snipes produced by the National Screen Service in the late 1960s, which were immortalized by Quentin Tarantino in his movies "Kill Bill" and "Death Proof," where you might have seen the "Prevues of Coming Attractions" clip before.
i've been meaning to improve my pick technique for a long time, so it's good that this relatively simple line that's played with a pick came up in my rotation. i can't overstate how difficult i find playing with a pick, but i think i'm slowly getting there. don't expect a lot of pick videos, though, haha! hope you enjoy this one!

I am with you on the pick. Great play through and interesting background.
yeah, most stuff i enjoy playing and listening to is played fingerstyle, but it never hurts to develop some versatility!
Very cool!
