I think it was RecordingRevolution who made an interesting suggestion about deciding various levels, not just vocals. What he said, in a nutshell, was this; if you're not sure about the level of an instrument, pull it down or push it up 4db, play it back and see if you "miss" it or if it's too much. If it's one or the other, then split the difference and listen again. In other words, it's subjective yet quantifiable. When you use a fixed amount, you're playing with a reference point and you give yourself a fighting chance of making a decent choice. Fiddling randomly with faders is just going to cause trouble probably. Just a thought. His, not mine.
If you compare it to the version on their "Me and my machine against the world" album, its different. The one on the album doesn't have this particular vocal effect and the timing issues also aren't there. Its on Bandcamp. Look up "Electric Zoo", thats the band. Amazing underground rock band from Israel.

Hell yeah waves, lately you've been rocking with the content
Yesss! Super helpful as always Waves!
Thank you very much Eddie. To good health
This literally popped up as I was buying new plugins for mixing vocals. lol
so god damn underrated
You rock with vocals. I hear a timing issue and lag in the song in just what you played. Hope that's a demo on their part!

Hah what are the odds. These guys are an indie band from Israel I've caught them live a couple of times.
