Hi Disha...tried the paper mache lamp shade three times...jyst could not make...it jst does not come f theback of the vessel..applied oil also then spread it!
Adding a few drops of oil in Paper Mache and decreasing the quantity of glue will definitely help. To be on safer side you can place a thin plastic sheet on the vessel.
Maam which company joint compound do you use is it birlas .which company is the joint compound from..doesyour work become water proof. Please let me know .is it a liquid.

The wooden vase on the fridge is from Channapatna and it has a magnetic strip attached on the back :)

You can use notebook or text book pages too. The color of the clay will depend on what kind of paper you choose
