Hi! Thank you so much for this video!! I am admitted (Fall 2022) and i’ve been trying to do some research about this school and if i go, how I should prepare This video helped SO MUCH. If your comfortable could you do a video diving more into moving away from home and your family? As somehow who is very family oriented moving to another island feels like a big adjustment.

Honestly, I thought I would miss everyone more than I actually did. I may sound harsh for that but I think at some point, you are just ready to grow up and live a life of your own. I found it freeing more than anything. You'll realize how much you enjoy living by yourself once you actually do it, but it can be very hard to think about.

    Hey! If you could talk
About what there is to do for fun on the island and what you can do in Manoa!

Hi Ainsley! Your videos have really helped me! I am thinking about applying to UH at Manoa and was wondering if you knew anything about their Animal science/Pre-veterinary program?

So I am in CTAHR and that is the college where the animal science program is and I love it. I am not in that particular degree but I love the CTAHR college and community. I think it really helps students get prepared for their future careers.

Hi Ainsley, I love your videos, idk if you can answer me but how do you pay your housing?, do you have an scholarship that helps you, or you work, or your parents help you? I am thinking to apply to UH but the housing worries me a lot, thank you in advance!

Of course! So housing is definitely cheaper if you do the freshman towers. I think it is about $3,000 per semester (or year im not too sure) if you stay there. Keep in mind, if you live on campus you HAVE to purchase a meal plan, they wont let you not purchase one and that is an extra $700 minimum. My parents helped me throughout undergrad but we did take out loans to do so.

how many pairs of pants should i bring if any? i love wearing jeans/ lightweight pants but i’m not sure it would be too hot.

Definitely bring at least one pair for your lab and in-person classes cause the AC can get pretty cold and most labs require jeans/long pants
