Girl with the highest rev rate on PWBA✖️ Daria Pajak release in slow motion

  • Hello ! :)
    I decided to make a video where you can understand how do I generate rev rate and axis rotation.
    I have worked on generating revs since I was very small:
    - I would take a plastic ball, stand by the foul line and try to figure out how can I make the ball spin
    I have also worked very hard to make my hands and wrists strong
    Rev rate was self thought - it comes from bending my elbow and in a result getting under the ball
    My hand position, axis rotation and release overall is a product of hard work with Costas Mitsingas and coaches at Kegel Training Center
    💡 STAY FOCUSED
    Goodluck 👊

    I have said this many many times one of the very best releases on the pwba tour. Nobody on that tour can duplicate this rekease. I know some folks will disagree and that's fine. But she never ever falls off a shot and with that power pins are going to move. and something I like a lot she is always smiling. Good break bad break whatever she is smiling I like that. Her #1 fan she is awesome. A great ambassador for the sport.

    Not too many women use much elbow bend to get a bit more behind the ball and generate snap. This is one of the few instances I've seen it. Very nice. I especially like your simple and straight backswing. I've always had trouble with that.

    This...this is what i feel was needed in female pro bowling...it seemed like since the dawn of time all the females has the same form throwing the same spot with the same rev rate. Like i was watching the show you made against liz johnson, first time seeing you in action and when i saw your form your revs and all around power...you had me at hello lol
    And mean all that in the least offencive way possible of course, i just really want the power game to be more common with female bowlers. Hell i think a pro 2 hander bowler would be super fun to watch.
    But enough rambling lol point is you got a new fan.

    I am curious on how you have trained your hand and wrist to get strong enough to create the axis rotation and revs. I mean what exercises. I saw few weeks back i think on your instagram a post about the gripmaster pro device. Is that something you used in past as well? And would you recommend using it to get wrist strong? Or are there other exercises to do that. which you used as well.
    PS keep up the good work, looking forward seeing you on the PBA tour in the future

  • @Pistakeerick

    Thanks for publishing. And congratulations on your first LPBA win last summer.
    You might not actually be "girl with the highest rev rate", though. It might be Suzuna Miyagi in Japan. Doesn't really matter. One of these days a couple of two-handers will likely show up on tour and steal that crown for good. But it's all about winning anyway, not counting revs.
    Incidentally, the lowest rev rate of any professional champion in history might have belonged to Scott Devers. Ages ago, I remember seeing him leave a 5-7-10 in warmups at a PBA event.

  • @johnvanderlyn633

    Okay...how important is the release? Probably the most important part of your delivery. Ever notice a bowler off balance at the line but because the release is so good the ball knocks the pins off of the deck solidly? Me too. Great slow mo shots of her release. Even though she says she gets more axis rotation by releasing off to the side, you can plainly see she is staying in back of her ball and releasing to one side of the ball while staying in back of the ball. So many bowlers literally release their ball on the side. Me too sometimes, but when I do I leave the 10 pin almost every time when using weaker equipment. I've found on shorter spans I have more tendency to release it around the side rather than extended or normal spans that allows my release to be more in back. Rev rate for me also improves on normal and extended spans as well.

    • @odellus
      @odellus 5 років тому

      she isn't saying she gets "more" axis rotation, she is saying that's how you generate axis rotation, i.e. turning the hand.

    As a beginner bowler learning to hook, the release has been a complete mystery for me. So, thank you for making this video. I often read that you need to keep the hand under the ball as long as possible and then to the side right before release. Am I right to say that this movement to the side is quite small and happens right before the release? It seems almost like in the video that it happens at around 6:30 of the swing (when viewed from the right). The rotation of the hand itself looks pretty small too? From bottom to release, around 30 degrees? Am I right?

  • @MusicByKhalilTV

    Daria is your release a uncupped to cupped release, I apologize if my explanation is wrong still learning, from my observation your bowling with a broken wrist position then rapidly cupping then uncupping at the release point, am i correct

      Steven Cullifer iv seen multiple 220+ one handers that don’t use a thumb as well that have multiple 300/800s and have won tournaments before that way so tell me again how there is wrong way if they are still able to beat the traditional bowlers and if you knew history if you’re using anything but 2 fingers to bowl you are not bowling the way it started with a thumb and a finger is how it originally started

    Hello, I am ashamed of you for being my eternal role model, but I am leaving a comment.
    Please excuse me for not being good at English. I've enjoyed bowling on my own, too. Does it make you feel like you're folding elbow after backswing? Or do you give your wrist more strength? Or are there any personal know-how on the plot? By the way, I have a small bowling channel. Can you give me some feedback if you have time?TT Plz

  • @SS--CAL
    @SS--CAL 4 роки тому

    I learned when I bent my elbow at the bottom of the swing like she does my accuracy went down. So I slowed my swing down and kept my elbow straight and started rolling 300s.

    • @Todulchaos
      @Todulchaos 4 роки тому

      Just because that went that way for you, doesn't mean it's for all. Keeping your arm straight, less power is simpler for some. Takes more athletic ability and practice to perfect the more complicated shot, but it pays off and then some if you can manage it. Nearly all power players have a variation of this, there's a reason strokers are a dieing breed, it isn't because their method is better lol.

    • @newbie101
      @newbie101 6 років тому

      address position meaning cup wrist? sorry , not very technical.

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому +1

      She doesn't cup her wrist at all she has a firm as if you were shaking hands with someone. She keeps that way through out her swing. If you want to see a cupped wrist position watch Chris Barnes. The easiest way to get good is to stick with one wrist position and stick with it. Some people like to flatten out their wrist on spare shots. If you have a urethane or plastic ball you can use your normal grip and the ball will go straight.

    • @newbie101

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому +2

      newbie101 your wrist is stronger than you give it credit for. Just make sure that at address you keep it firm from your push away to the back swing and let gravity take it off your hand on your forward release.

  • @quickspin23
    @quickspin23 6 років тому +1

    Correct form and pendulum swing. In her style, it's using the wrist strength to cup the ball prior to releasing it. That generates the strong hook at the end, which is what you want. She needs to be careful though, as it can tear wrist tendons which, unfortunately, never recovers. Trust me, I know.

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому

      quickspin23 yup she starts and finishes in the same position all she does is let forward motion and gravity take it off her hand:-)

    • @quickspin23
      @quickspin23 6 років тому +1

      Yes and no. She still has to 'cup' the ball using her wrist (as compared to just letting gravity take over). It's this ability to stay under the ball without losing momentum from the pendulum which creates the hook force at the end. It's actually not that hard. The difficulty is adjusting to the lane conditions on the left/right lanes. It's the mental part of the game that really gets you.

    Wow. Most revs I've seen for a one handed bowler. how many 300 games have you bowled?

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому

      toscodav rev rate doesn't determine the number of 300 games one might have. Bowling has been all about accuracy and always will be.

    • @toscodav
      @toscodav 6 років тому

      You're putting words in my mouth. I never said revs determine how many 300 games bowled. With that said, it has been scientifically proven that high revs increase pin action and give the optimal angle for generating strikes. Accuracy without power won't win you many tournaments sonny. You leave a lot of nine pins with no power, even if you hit the pocket.

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому

      toscodav Sorry brother but accuracy will beat rev rate every time. A 9 count is a bad hit on the rack. As far a best bowler? Jason Belmonte is a good bowler but he's far from being the world's best. If you been paying attention he's dramatically slowed his shot down in an attempt to be more consistent and accurate in his pitching. Once he gets closer to the 100 PBA wins then it might not be that much of a stretch to consider him the world best player.

    • @toscodav
      @toscodav 6 років тому

      Who is the best then if not Belmonte? I don't know of any top bowlers today that don't have a shitload of revs.

    • @jayvallandingham2406
      @jayvallandingham2406 6 років тому

      toscodav like I've said it's not about ball revolution that determines how great a player is. Pete Weber and Walter Ray Williams Jr. have average rotation and they've done fine for themselves. Dave Husted is another guy that doesn't have a ton of revolutions on the bowling ball but on fridays when I bowl with him, he's an absolute machine.

      Craig Henzel, yep Kegel. If you want to learn to bowl, quit laughing and go take a class there.

    Daria Pajak is, without a doubt, a very good bowler with excellent form but BEAR IN MIND that she has been professionally trained and coached from a very early time in her career. The equipment that she has is professionally chosen and drilled specifically for her with the exact layouts, span, finger and thumb pitches with perfect bevel and appropriate surface adjustment and that is something that most bowlers will never have the opportunity to ever have. All "pro shops" are not staffed with professionally trained ball drillers. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Additionally, she is bowling at the Kegel Training Center and you can bet your bottom dollar that the conditions at that center are perfect with precision set racks with no pins off spot and that her equipment NEVER gets jammed up in the pits or ball returns causing her equipment to sustain rubber streaks, dings, gouges, scrapes, chipped finger and thumb holes and all the other nonsense I've seen on my equipment. She's done the work and she has the talent and drive but she also has no excuse in the world to not be good. If she ever runs into trouble or starts experiencing issues, she has the professionals at her disposal to help her work through it.

      What the he'll kind of alleys you bowling in lol I've never seen rubber marks from belts on my balls and 9 times out of 10 if I ever do get a gouge or scratch it's because I'm throwing 20 miles and hour at a 10 pitch it outside and it's flying around the back of the pit lol. Not to mention gouges and scratches don't hurt the performance as long as it's not within your flare track and MOST drillers will drill you close enough to have a great fit and be able to bowl. Most of the time it's mechanical issue with the bowler not the ball or how it fits

      Tyler Stine i get dents scratches and dirt on my ball from the house i used to bowl at. One of the reasons im not gping back to that house anymore. The head pin are half an inch to a 1.5 off set almost every rack. Even when i re rack its the same. They dont take care of the lanes anymore.

      This is a video about her release. Lane conditions have absolutely nothing to do with it. She can throw the ball like that in the parking lot.

    I hope she has a plastic or glass ball to pick up spares as those revs would make a 10 pin pick impossible without a different ball and a wide grip. I'd love to see her picking up some spares on the far right of the lane. Also, wow she's been eating to often at the bowling alley seeing recent video!

      RussellRoesner nope she can pick up a 10 pin with any ball in her bag:-) I'd bet you money on it.

    This is the highest rev rate on the womens tour? Dont any women use 2-hands or 2 fingers? I have quite a few local girls here in Philly who are really good and have much higher rev rate than this but they are not on the PWBA.. I am guessing we will start seeing some higher revving women soon enough as I see a lot of young girls throwing 2-handed now. I am surprised none are on the Women's tour yet.

    Decent release. But don't be fooled by ball reaction on open dry lane conditions.

      Kenneth Terrell, how do you know she's bowling on a dry lane? I bowled with her in Louisville in a pro-am last week on the PWBA tournament shot and she was hooking the ball just like in this video.
