I’ve had two root canals the first one was actually a life changer, it was on a front tooth they had to put a crown over it I was in soo much chronic pain. I’m very happy they were successful.

Notice he says “implants don’t last either” meaning the root canals don’t last. His didn’t! The problem is how long this not lasting goes on for and Infection can be at a low level as not to be detected. I went through hell before it got so bad I had to have extraction. Also, I was told it was safe (probably meaning the filling material only!) and never told they fail. Once you get sick the Physicians don’t know what to do-they don’t relate it to teeth, because that’s not their training. If you go to the standard dentist they can’t address what happened to your immune system either. Biological/holistic dentistry is expensive but should be accepted by more insurance plans, and/or made accessible and be taught in dental schools. I suffered greatly after not being told they can fail. There is a lack of informed consent. Their needs to be more education on whole body systems and what affects the teeth can affect the whole body. Most dentistry is in the dark ages on this. Also, I had mercury amalgams out and felt better after (was sick for years not knowing this could be a factor.)
Thanks everyone who shared their experiences and especially glad for you who got out of such suffering. You can be beautiful and eat with a simple partial, etc. after all, haven’t we learnt from wearing masks-we smile with our eyes too! Plus you’re not alone..
Hopefully dentistry and medicine will both address these issues someday and not compartmentalize the body as is routine with ‘specialists’..Look at how body systems work in concert..

A biopsy of my three "perfect looking" root canals showed they contained 19 serious infections. I felt like I was dying every day until I had them removed. I became symptomatic after 15 years, it usually takes time for these chronic silent infections to cause disease. Conventional dentistry kills people - it's a "drill, fill, bill" mentality that's sick. The ADA will continue stating that root canals are perfectly safe. The lawsuits if they said something else would be humongous. Going forward, I'm only seeing holistic/biological dentists.
Also, interviewing an endodontist about the safety of root canals is like interviewing a representative from the fossil fuel industry about climate change. They should have invited a biological dentist to counter the argument. Very unprofessional by this show.

I had a RC done 15 years ago and it was slowly killing me!! I am in Singapore and just had a RC molar taken out just today approx . 3 hours ago.
I desperately want it out because I have symptoms since beginning of May. Vertigo, headache, tinnitus, stiff neck and shoulders, motion sensitivity, walking imbalance, sinus and achy back (upon waking up). It's a freaking nightmare!
I am detoxing with iodine and taking oil of oregano as antibiotics.
I will report again with progress. I am so darn happy to get rid of it. I am fortunate that there wasn't any infection and my bone looks good.

I had 2 molars filled in the 90's. Now, my new dentist is telling me that there is rot under the fillings and I need 2 root canals. I'm 57 years old and relatively healthy. The rest of my teeth are fine. I have read so much about the dangers of root canals that I don't know what to do. I'm definitely getting a second opinion about what can be done. Also, they have to get approval from my insurance company and if they won't pay, this will cost me 3 grand per tooth. That's 6k. Are they trying to recoup the money they lost during the pandemic?... because it's just too much? Maybe you should consider the implants. They are expensive $4-5k a piece, but I hear that they can last 20+ years. Consider the zirconium (ceramic) instead of titanium. If you are able to travel to a cheaper place they can be as low as $3k, but probably will not get any cheaper than that here in the states.

So the abscess is cooking down there at the tip of the root. It may not be as painful you may think because your abscess burrows a pathway away from the balloon of infection and out into your mouth which is the Fistula. Since that drainage is happening the balloon of puss and infection is no longer building up pressure but the infection is getting larger and when that little fistula blocks up then you're balloon of infection will pressurize causing worse pain. Don't let your body's natural high pain tolerance fool you.

I may need a root canal, and I have watched the documentary "Root Cause." The allegation in the movie that 97% of female breast cancer patients have had a root canal procedure is an extreme condemnation of this procedure, but it is also an allegation that is extremely simple to disprove. All that would be required would be to survey 100 breast cancer patients and/or their oncologists regarding this statistic. No multi-million dollar research required. Is the statistic true or false? Simple cause and effect analysis. The fact that the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists have either not conducted such a study or not disclosed its results is a tacit admission to me that the statistic is true. Btw, I am a lawyer who deals with how to prove the truth and disclose lies on a daily basis. This would be an easy one for me to prove or disprove in trial if given a small amount of resources.

Well, if you need a root canal and if it's too too too dangerous and it's a no no, what's the alternatives then losing your tooth and take it out? Give a better option or don't say anything. You don't have to be aching madly to get a root canal, sometimes it's a prevention procedure if the cavity in the molar tooth for example and hidden in between 2 molar teeth meaning the tight position of the cavity and how deep it is close to the roots will determine the need for a root canal. The only bad thing about it and what's really painful is the damn cost and of course the need for a crown right after (imagine the cost) that's the nasty thing about it, other than that, it's mostly a success unless you have already problems with your teeth and gum caused by years of abuse.

Teeth are naturally porous meaning they accumulate bacteria. When you have a healthy tooth that is connected to your bloodstream that is not a big deal because it will naturally clean out the bacteria as it accumulates. With a dead mummified rebuilt tooth like in a root canal there are two problems. One the tooth is no longer connected to your bloodstream and can therefore no longer efficiently clean out the bacteria that will accumulate an infection is not a matter of if but when. two the tooth is dead and it's condition will degrade over time and become brittle. There it's not as much good science as there could be on the health concerns surrounding root canals because root canals are a money maker.

No one is for or against as arguments are strong on both sides. Me personally why risk further complications to your body, just remove the tooth.

@@100ververis just remove the tooth? Have you ever seen the price of an implant? My friend just paid $20,000 to have two emergency implants. Root canals can address many different issues, not just abscess or infection. The most important thing is keeping your natural tooth as long as you can without extraction.

Natural teeth when you get a root canal. It’s a dead tooth left in the gum. It may not give pain but it’s low grade infection leaving a dead bone in the gum.

Dentures, or preferable partial dentures, are healthier than root canals because the root canal encapsulates the bacteria. The length of life is shorter comparing those who had root canals verses those who have dentures. The root canal is especially bad for the person with diabetes. But thankfully, we can choose to receive the Messiah as our Savior, and pray in His Name. // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah Asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).

A family member had this experience, had 40 years as a medical person (not a doctor), and told me. But the part about the Messiah, the message is true and the messenger is trustworthy, and the TURaH tells all about it. Amen. // Anyone reading this who is not saved, ask the Messiah to be your Savior.
