Hydrofoil downwind through a thunderstorm - RAW POV

We set out on a “reverse downwind” run with unusually strong west wind. Unfortunately, my partner fell and I got caught in a full on thunder and lightning storm. Pretty sketch haha but it was quite the experience!

Nice run. How hard is to popup on a 5’8? Do you need a steep bump?

It’s relatively easy for me. The board is pretty narrow so it slides through the water well. I can flat water start it if I desperately need to. But that’s pretty tricky to do.
