Saw your hunting video this morning, I was very encouraged by your story about your dad and God. I lost my son when he was 29 through brain cancer. He was my hunting partner and I miss him so much. It was only by Gods Grace that my wife and I were able to get through that loss. I know that that we will see him again and thank God for His saving Grace. Keep up the great work and testimony. I’ve been waiting on this video since you posted about it on the Suburban Bowhunter group on FB. It did not disappoint! Great buck and great story my man! I’m a suburban bowhunter in High Point, NC and I love watching y’all’s videos. You guys are what got me into knocking on doors and asking permission and I’m so glad you did. I grew up in WV where I had all kinds of great land to hunt. That definitely wasn’t the case after I moved to NC. Finding suburban bowhunting brought back that feeling for me. Thank you!

Thank u so much for ur videos and content I really need to see this I lost my granddaddy November 13 of this year he live a good life of 86 years. He was one of my best friends and hunting partners I learned a lot from that man. I’m gona miss walking him to his stand but I’ll cherish the memories we had together. Life for me since has been a roller coaster but after watching ur video it’s given me peace and hope and the want to not turn my back but to keep being faithful and obedient to Gods word. Actually cool of the poacher to call you,most wouldn't have done that. I know good guys that hunt land that no one else hunts,that hold big deer. They manage it more or less and have for years, letting mature deer walk holding out for a special deer. No one hunts it besides them and it's been that way for many years,if someone was hunting it they'd stop immediately. I've seen them go as far as putting up no trespassing signs themselves. That poacher was hunting that deer too and probably passing other bucks along the way and probably thought he was the only one hunting that piece so he called and gave you a great heads up on the very deer you were hunting. Otherwise you might not have realized he was there for a cpl weeks or at all if he moved a mile or two away,checking a group of does and got hit crossing the road and killed by a prius.
Not saying it's right but 95 ( maybe more) out of a 100 poachers would've never made that call and took a chance of being identified and prosecuted. He wasn't bitter towards you at all but wanted someone to continue the hunt for that deer,, if he couldnt himself so he took the chance and made that call that leads us to where we are today. I bet he's a good dude just hunting a deer he thought no one else was maybe,most of us would do the same whether they'll admit it or not. He knows he didn't kill it himself but ultimately he was the bucks demise,a phone call, a CPL pics,maybe some info and possible friendship since they both shared the same connection of hunting this deer. Great buck, Great video and most of all Great God who makes it all possible. He's been doing it many years for me. This is my 53rd year to bowhunt and I have killed many bucks that could only have came because God made it happen and He guided my arrows. I truly believe it. I have more than 20 P&Y quality whitetail bucks of which none has been registered, mainly because I didn't do anything worthy of my getting credit. God did it for me, plain and simple. To Him goes the glory. I'm just thankful that he allows me to enjoy His creation. I just hope that a lot of hunters, especially the young ones, pause and take your story seriously, and put God FIRST in their lives and he will bless them. You have a way of making people feel like less because their faith might not be as strong. That is counter productive . Too many people using religion to gain views because they think it will play well....maybe so. Maybe not.
