  • Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves. Yes, this is me almost missing the entire launch while live-streaming. I swear I was a reporter for 10 years 😝😂. #falcon9 #starlink #spacex #lol

      @@CognizantApe Based on the lag time for the sound to reach them, I estimate they’re about 3.5 to 4 miles from the launch site.

    When that solar eclips happened a few years back, i had a plumber fixing my toilet... i said come outside you gotta see this, he said no im just gonna work, i said NO this happens once every 11 years your coming outside... me, my brother and the plumber watched the sun turn red and go out for a minute, was amazing and he was real happy we made him come out lol

      I waited sooo long for that eclipse. My school locked us inside during an eclipse in the 90s and i was so bummed they didn't take the opportunity to show us with safety glasses or shadow boxes. The idea that i would be an adult when my next opportunity came was insane to think of. I booked the day off work, and my girlfriend and i had a picnic with eclipse glasses.

    I was watching IFT-3 and the launch control audio that was playing had a 20 second delay. I was taking a Pano of the crowd, then saw the rocket. Ellie does a great job.💯

    When NASA launched the LADEE mission from Wallops Island VA I heard and saw it...I live 5 minutes from central PA...easy 200 miles away of coarse sound very delayed from visual cues...amazing

      I don't think this will lose her a single one of her subscribers. She's cute, enthusiastic and talk about rockets. That will be more than enough to keep the attention of tens of thousands of space nerds. What I have seen of her reporting on Spacex has generally been decent and not just fluff but there is no doubt that she leans heavily on her looks to drive her viewership. I'm sure she is embarrassed and will no doubt follow her for a long time but it will barely create a papercut in her current brand. All of the other UA-camrs covering space are lining up to cross promote her channel. Why wouldn't they.

    This is like my wife who wouldn't stop talking during the third Starship test flight. I eventually had to tell her that, while I could pause the live feed to listen to her, I would rather not.
