Bro this mod was a BANGER, cannot wait for the v2, hotfixes and etc, the most awaited mod has came before modern sonic and its amazing!!!! Better than a hotfix that will take a century to come
This has to be the best mod in sonic history, if somehow this exact sonic can be modded with other games with same physics and moveset where heading to peak modding boys!
you cant do that you literally just cant do that the only thing you could port this to without changing it entirely would be doom as srb2 runs on the doom engine and even then it barely would work at all
I quite literally cannot play the game without this mod anymore. Also, you can charge a weak spindash with X-Sonic. I can't remember the inputs exactly, but it has something to do with the taunt system

the fact i beated the game as x sonic before and i see this is crazy tbh beating it with x sonic is hard and trying to get the chaos emeralds since he is really hard in water but i did it and getting the fake emeralds too
Super easy to get dark emeralds actually! So find a star post with a hazard right next to it and by using cheats give yourself inf lives. Then keep dying next to said starpost and eventually the dark emerald thing will spawn above you. Keep doing this on different stages and you are set! If you dont want to cheese, then just know you can find those eggs where emblems, starposts, and sometimes shields are! Hope I HELPED, IF I did can I get a shoutout😂
The way how I saw X Sonic is I saw a TikTok video with him and I was like “thats kinda cool” and then I checked the comments and it said it was the X Sonic mod. I downloaded it and its now my favorite mod-
yeah, specifically there for Amy and Fang, who are the only 2 vanilla characters who can't charge a spindash to open those doors. They can both break the breakable floors though.
Btw to spin dash as X Sonic, you need to hold toss flag, spin, and then spam jump. Edit: The easiest way to get the funny edgy form is just playing green flower act 1 since the emeralds save regardless of you leaving the stage. Edit#2: There's an option (I think in the camera section) that flips your camera with gravity so it looks normal
a little critic on the video: you may want to check out your recording settings, they seem to have pretty bad bitrate issues. UA-cam probably makes it even worse after reencoding on their side. it was still a fun video though! so only a technical blip

yo dude if you want to speedrun the bosses a little use snap dive + spin button to do a snap dive kick or if you are insane collect all of the fake emeralds to combo the fuck out of enemies or eggie boi himself if you have true arena mod
X Sonic honestly feels like a really watered down version of SMS sonic, for it being for speedrunners and having less depth in its moveset. Not saying I don't like the mod, but I just feel as if the huge learning curve is gonna be a huge problem for casual players of srb2, like me.

Like frontiers for example imagine the physics and moveset took from this mod but made op and ported to sonic frontiers
